This insurance company is a very big disappointment. They paid for my medication for two months, Then decided they didn’t want to pay for it anymore. How can they stop someone cold in their tracks from taking their medications, The medication I was on covered four different things in my body from one prescription. Stopping this medication immediately has serious side effects. You have to wean yourself off of it. I don’t know how somebody could sit behind a desk and play God and mess with your health and prescriptions to say no. One day, I hope that person has the tables turned on them and they have to go through what they do to their customers. Shame on you. Do better intercommunity health network.. Zero stars if I could.

Everything about IHN is worthless. They siphon public money from OHP to pay their executives well while providing terrible healthcare to people like me. Here's a short summary of just one of my issues with them.
The only dental office they cover for me seems to be owned by themselves, which is a massive conflict of interest as they are a private insurer. (Source: The SAME PERSON answered the phone when I called both IHN and the dental office back-to-back.) This dental office is badly understaffed which causes severe issues with communication, scheduling, and referrals, to the point that I ended up losing a tooth thanks to multiple prolonged and completely unavoidable treatment delays. At one point it took them THREE WEEKS to send a single run-of-the-mill referral to a run-of-the-mill specialist - and this was only after calling them multiple times per week and (at their request) doing their own work by sending them all the details they needed to complete the referral. At one point they simply hung up on me in the middle of a sentence, then when I called them right back, they acted like we were speaking for the first time that day.
The understaffing hits scheduling particularly hard. They will cancel an upcoming appointment (that they've had in their calendar for months and is still about a month away), force YOU to call THEM to reschedule it, and then tell you that the soonest available time is now THREE months away. If you try to push the issue, they'll tell you to join the daily circus of patients calling in at 7:30 a.m. to see if any slots have opened up for the day. Usually the line is so busy you can't even get anyone to answer unless you try repeatedly for 15-30 minutes, and then the answer is still "No slots available, try again tomorrow", and even if you do get a slot, well, just hope you didn't have anything planned that day, and were willing to cancel your plans on any other day you called in.
And all of that is for time-sensitive dental issues that they have been told are time-sensitive. If you try to stand up for yourself and tell them how much pain you're in and how badly you need help, they will tell you things like "Well you're not the only one with issues" (that is a verbatim quote from them) and guilt trip you for using OHP at all. This is so far beyond merely unprofessional I would categorize it as actively malicious, but of course there is no one to complain to because of the next point.
This terrible dental care under IHN is well-known across my entire area and yet their reps always act surprised when fielding complaints about the issue. I've seen this for years, from many different people, yet still, every time, IHN are supposedly so surprised and concerned to hear about these well-known issues. They're either permanently incompetent or permanently lying, and does it really matter which? Perhaps the most insulting part about the whole thing is that they could absolutely afford to properly staff their own dental office AND allow me to choose a different primary dental provider - after all, OHP does this without issue for non-dental healthcare - but they want to give those funds to their executives instead, so here we are.

It's just another business that makes money off of people's healthcare needs while also causing as much stress, suffering, and confusion to fix problems they created. Yay, for scummy business!

It's just another part of the Samaritan medical monopoly. They don't listen to their insured.and grievance team is condensing bias in favor of anything to do with Samaritan. Staff flat doesn't know the true difference or definition of facts and feelings.

From Walnut Street, turn onto Kings Blvd then take the 1st right into the professional plaza. Follow the road as it loops around and take the last left into the parking lot of Intercommunity Health, a large light grey building.
