Great service by the vet and assistant. They were kind, patient and helpful. The person who checked me into my appointment was pretty frazzled and overwhelmed by the number of people waiting in line. You can tell there were new and didn't have much answers due to their inexperience. Most Vetco locations I've been to over book their appointments and it always takes at least an hour after your appointment is scheduled if not later to be seen. The walk ins are subjugated to waiting even longer. Once they fix this it'll create happier customers and less overwhelmed staff.

We had a very nice experience with all the staff that help with Ripleys appointment. They treated her with tender care. Everything they did during our visit was done in a timely manner.

I have been going to this store regularly since 2013, when we got our Jack Russell puppy and I knew I had to keep him entertained. I purchased $100 worth of toys of strategic types (frisbee, ball, tug toy, plush, rope, squeeky toy, ball with holes, firehose kong, and regular kong). Since then, the rats, chinchilas, birds, and other critters kept him entertained. I now have Maisy, my third Jack Russell, and I'm off to Petco to visit the critters and buy more toys.

Go to this store if you want to obnoxiously be called girl with zest. Wtf? Took the woman 10 minutes to get back to her register despite a line forming. I get that it's a boring job but some people have real lives to get on with so how about just doing your job.

As for the retail part of the store I have had great experiences, very helpful staff and always a wide variety of products. Took my 18 week old puppy in for his first grooming appointment and was less than pleased. From the moment we got in the employee seem displeased when my puppy would so much as approach her. They cut the appointment short saying they could not finish the service, they stated my puppy was being difficult but couldn't explain how so - he was not being aggressive, sound like vocal at most. The employee very rudely told me what training I should be doing with my puppy. Had she asked she would know, I do indeed do all the suggestions she gave. While I understand my dog is young and likely behaves better with me than a new person, it felt that this employee had no desire to help us or display any patience with my dog. Will not be returning for such services

I absolutely love Wes who does my pups nails/ teeth. Vital care pays for itself if you buy your pet food there, I recommend petco for sure!

Much better for people who are not wealthy. Vets I this area of Oregon are overpriced. Use the clinic at vetco and get a let insurance plan for emergencies. Save your pocket book ..the professionals in this area run out n greed

Worst/slowest customer service I've ever received at a pet store. I can't believe the incompetence of the workers here. I'll never be going to this petco ever again, too bad.

We usually shop at the one in Albany but decided to stop in the Corvallis store since we happened to be there. The store is much larger that the one in Albany which already makes it feel better. All the staff we so friendly and there were plenty of staff available to help. It was very clean and was a great place to shop!

I'm very upset that petco chooses to turn a blind eye to how to properly care for chinchillas. As an exotic animal information can be confusing and difficult to come by. Nevermind the fact that all the chinchillas they get are backyard bred, disease/ health problem ridden, but that they leave them in such awful conditions. Carefresh paper bedding expands in stomach when ingested and causes blockage. The plastic is continually chewed on because they are given NO toys or any way to sharpen their teeth. Their teeth continually grow naturally and need to have aspen wood or other chews to file down their teeth because they are not given proper pellet. Oxbow essentials is best for them. Please consider using wooden shavings like aspen or pine, it is safe for them. As well as consider using the grass or wooden huts you supply for them. Plastic is NOT an option!

Our Mom takes us to Petco, in Corvallis for our nail trims. If we HAVE to get them done, the employees are all nice about calming our fears. (We are always fearful.) The employee named Wesley, try's to talk sweet to me, and get it over quickly, because I'm kinda a cry baby!. So if you want a job well done, see Petco Grooming
