Horrible pharmacy. Phones not working for refills, closed when theyre supposed to be open, and unprofessional. I got a call from their system saying my medicine was ready. I went back 3 x and its still not ready. Im not sure what kind of clowns are running it, but Thank God noones dead because they need a stupid medicine. ๐

Iโve been to two Safeway pharmacies in Oregon regularly. They must have corporate wide issues. Itโs obvious that they always understaffed. Pharmacy techs are under trained or often new because their turn over rate seems quite high (I wonder why). They consistently take at least 2 days to fill prescriptions, otherwise I have to call ahead. They are also very difficult to contact during busy hours. So they donโt fill my prescription in a timely matter, Iโm only available during their busy time but they wonโt pick up the phone. I go into store to either find out they donโt have stock or I have to wait in the store for 30 minutes for my prescription to be filled. Working with this pharmacy is stressful especially since I canโt go a day without my medication.
When I got sick of my first Safeway experience, I went to another chain. The other place always fills my prescription in 2-12 hours unless they had to order it, in which it was always filled the next day. Never once had to call them or wait in store for it to be filled. Donโt convince yourself that the way Safeway operates is at all normal.

I don't typically write reviews but to the pharmacist working on 9/23/25, thank you! There was a mishap with transferring my prescription but she sorted it out and filled it within 15 minutes (even let me skip the line to pick it up!)! Then there was a second mishap and she sorted it out right then and there despite being slammed with other prescriptions. Kudos to these pharmacists who are overworked yet kind enough to slow down and help us out! Wish I had caught her name!

I have long appreciated Dr Wong who has gone out of his way to help me In the past. Aso Bambi a friendly face. Yesterday I had a bit of emergency and Riley Mercer helped me thankfully. It takes me about 45 minutes to arrive, and as a senior The weight in line isn't easy. So I was grateful that Riley called my doctor got the prescription corrected and the pharmacist filled it right away so thankful. mj Fletcher Pinkerton

Safeway is the best pharmacy I have ever dealt with they are all so nice respectful and try to get fills quickly as possible thank you Safeway for your all your hard work awesome customer service ๐

Seem Caring, open-minded/understanding, & RX's filled when expected. Able to ask questions w/out feeling a bother, & in a hectic environment. Thank you. Because it can be a scary process, wanting to feel, & be your best self. I NEED their knowledge, compassion, and PASSION for what they do. Mainly too, if a brand / generic name is giving you problems, on top of what you're already going through - that's so Important to me, things get fixed/changed - so I can SUCCESSFULLY taper some until gone. Practically impossible to work w/ something that makes you feel like garbage - like 1 that was hot pink in color๐ซ๐

Worst place. Although they always have the prescriptions I need, it takes 45 min to get your meds. I just waited in a line where there was only 3 people ahead of me and it took almost an hour.

I honestly do not understand the low reviews. At least for me, the pharmacists go above and beyond. I have never ever, even at a boutique pharmacy, had them call me after the fact to tell me they found a discount for an expensive eye drop and reimburse me the difference but Safeway on 3rd pharmacy did. When I needed to get Hydrocodone for my dog, they were honest enough to tell me they weren't sure their brand was safe for dogs which probably saved his life at the time. There never seems to be a line when I'm there, beyond two people, as opposed to Philomath where the line is always wrapped around the meat department. They promptly answer the phone and everything is always handled professionally. I'm very grateful to those folks behind the counter.

The customer service is stellar and the staff is knowledgeable. With respect to the Pharmacist, the best I have ever encountered. Specifically, the Pharmacist is knowledgeable, experienced and leads by example. This explains the stellar customer service.

I have a very busy schedule and their inconsistency with their hours has really affected me. Their sign says closes at 8 by the way, but I know they don't so I call in. They told me they would be open until 7. Of course my phone dies which I need to pay, so I tell them I will be back in ten minutes. By the time it charges it is 6:50. I go in and they have already closed. I need these meds to function! Medication is such a serious thing it is crazy to me that this lack of consistency is acceptable.

Poor management. While this pharmacy has been helpful at times, I experience more frustration than not. They never open on time after their lunch (a staff member gave me attitude over asking about this after the staff member I needed was not there because he was late as was all of the staff). 7/10 times they don't have my meds ready or don't even know "what's going on" with them. I always have to leave and come back which is frustrating considering I call ahead to check that it's ready, and wait in line to be told it's not. Everything aside, if your hours say you open at 2 you need to be open at 2! I don't leave negative reviews often but it's pretty bizarre how often these issues arise.
