This is the worst experience of my life with auto repair places. We own a 2007 Lexus and one day it just wouldn't start. The car turned-over but wouldn't start. My wife had the car towed to Corvallis Toyota for assessment and the "Service Department" contacted her a day later informing her there was "no compression" and that it needed a new engine (Price was near $6000). When my wife told me this I knew immediately it had to be impossible so I called Houston Johnston in Service and told him that it was not likely the "no compression" was due to a blown engine. In turn, he sent me a video of his tech basically looking at the engine and saying the engine needed to be replaced. Conveniently, they also added about $4000 of additional expenses to the complete bill. I was not in town at the time and worried that these people were "out to lunch" so I had it towed to G and J on Second Street and, low and behold, the cylinders were "fuel-washed". They fixed it for $200 and it is as good as new! OK...so how does a Toyota Dealership where one would expect competent technicians decide that a simple repair justifies instead a complete new engine? Well, there are only two explanations:1. They were taking advantage of a woman who knew nothing about cars - or -2. They are incompetent. Perhaps they are both. If you want to discuss this with me in person, please send an e-mail to me directly at
[email protected], when G + J repaired the car, they noted that nothing had been put back together by Corvallis Toyota. Spark plus were lose, other things not re-attached. As stated at the front of this missive, this is the most egregious example of either dishonesty or incompetence I have encountered in my long 68 years of life.

If I could give this place zero stars I would. I am from Washington and wanted to buy a used vehicle from them told them I had a budget and I won't be going over it. Well on the phone we decided on 21375 on a vehicle which was over my budget by 375. But I agreed and ended up driving 3 hours there to sign paperwork. Upon getting there we had to wait over an hour. I then saw the car cheaper online for that day. And wanted them to honor that. So they did. But when we got into back to sign paperwork my price went up a few hundred dollars because of Washington taxes. I explain to them again I have a budget and I will not go over my budget. She told me it's ok you were approved for more so it will cover the cost. First of all like I said I'm on a budget secondly, just because I'm approved for more doesn't mean I want to take a loan out for more. They wouldn't honor there price over the phone at all. I highly don't recommend this dealership and want to say stay clear. Not worth the hassle. FYI I ended up walking away.....

I walked around and looked at the cars in the lot for about ten minutes and then went inside and waited another ten minutes. Nobody came to help me. I went to Kiefer Nissan across the street and was promptly greeted and helped and bought a a lovely Toyota Corolla.

Went here to find a new phone holder after I got a new car. I asked the cashier Rob Demauro what the options were and he gave me an excellent overview. I could tell that he cared about helping the customer out and finding the best option for them. I bought the cheapest phone holder and I have never had a problem with it. I actually like it better than the $70 phone holder I had been borrowing from my dad.

Never again! The last time I tried to get my car serviced at Toyota a Corvallis I swore I would never go back there again. My wife told me to give it another try. So I made an appointment for an oil change two weeks in advance. 1030 appointment because we have to go to Portland in the afternoon. Show up early to drop off the car and I'm told they are running hours behind already. Well that won't work because we need the car back to go on our trip. Last time I couldn't get my car serviced because the van driver would not let me ride home with my 5 pound dog. Clearly employees get extensive training in explaining how nothing is ever their fault but zero training in problem-solving or customer service. Someday they will figure out how to get things done instead of figuring out how not to get things done. Until then I guess they will just continue to lose business. Do you think they're embarrassed that their customers have to take their $50,000 vehicle to get an oil change at a quick lube because their multi million dollar service facility can't figure out how to get it done? Two stars because I actually enjoy working with the sales department. I've bought five vehicles in the last three years. But never again.*editI see the service manager has responded to my review within an hour. Funny, service manager wasn't around when I asked for him this morning. And this is not "atypical". Quite literally happens every single time I try and get one of my vehicle serviced at Toyota Corvallis. If you were really interested in customer service you would have called me on the phone and not responded to me on a public review site. Thanks for making my point.

I was looking to purchase a car for my daughter which happened to be apparently a unique vehicle that had to be searched all over Oregon at multiple dealers. It was almost looking like we were going to have to pick a different car or custom order which takes months. I needed this car right away, like within 3-4 days. I was working with Maya and she was searching everywhere she could to locate the car and come in with a great price. I had more dealers also searching but Maya was determined to get this done for us, and boy did she ever!! Not only did she find the car she delivered it to my house about and hour and half from the dealer, drive my trade in back, and sent me all the paperwork to my work for sign and return. I never even set foot in the dealer and honestly spent about 30 mins dealing with paperwork and such. Done deal super happy and would recommend this dealer to anyone!!
