“Words, I fear, could not convey the amount of gratitude I feel towards West Hills, their staff, vets, and vet techs. My dog Milo means the world to me and they provide amazing care. Milo recently has exhibited loss of function of his hind legs and through therapy and treatment at the healing center he can go for walks and has better quality of life. Function in his legs has improved and he is a large senior dog. I thought that would be impossible. I thought I’d only have a few more months with him and that was a year ago.

I’m so glad we have them in our corner and Milo, who is a certified goodest boy, has the best treatment.”

“All I can really say is these people are awesome. I've had two different dogs with them now. They definitely care about the animals and bend over backwards to help them. They went the extra mile, to get my dog the antibiotics that she needed before I took off for a camping trip. They're awesome!”

“We had a good experience. Alpine made time to schedule Koolah the next day, very close to the holidays. She got good treatment and I received good information on her condition. Everyone at Alpine was easy to work with. And the price was reasonable.”

“Dr. Weston is absolutely AMAZING!! I was really apprehensive about taking my new bun to the vet due to a bad past experience. I ended up deciding on the Town and country clinic and I’m so glad I did! The Dr. was so patient, reassuring and kind. I’m very grateful for her. I will be taking my bunny to Town and country from here on out! ?”

“Dr. Gross and his team are a caring, professional, and empathetic team who I trust with my dog. They are happy to discuss any and all concerns or worries you have as a pet owner, and have helped me when my dog was injured and needed care, as well as when we had our dog neutered. They consistently go above and beyond to help us care for our dog, and have created a caring environment for their patients at a reasonable cost. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a competent and kind team to care for their beloved pet.”

“Great service by the vet and assistant. They were kind, patient and helpful. The person who checked me into my appointment was pretty frazzled and overwhelmed by the number of people waiting in line. You can tell there were new and didn't have much answers due to their inexperience. Most Vetco locations I've been to over book their appointments and it always takes at least an hour after your appointment is scheduled if not later to be seen. The walk ins are subjugated to waiting even longer. Once they fix this it'll create happier customers and less overwhelmed staff.”

“Great emergency and ICU level care for my sweet baby boy cat Moon who suffered a major medical emergency and required immediate treatment! As soon as I got there we were seen. I appreciated the time each vet took to call and update me and answer all of my questions and take the extra time to educate. This is my 4th time taking an animal of mine to this vet hospital for either end of life or emergency care and have always had great experiences. Moon is happy to be home”

“I was reading through all of the reviews here and was surprised by some of the negative comments. First, you have to know that this is a triage hospital. The vets' environment likely changes by the minute. My sense is that there is also a vet shortage at the moment. And depending on when you show up- they are working, even if it's 3am. To take care of yourself, please consider an insurance policy for your pet. The $25 a month I pay has paid for itself more than once. The time to get this policy is in the first month of the animal's life and if you start later in life you just have to shop around. My cat came away 100% recovered but not wo some scary moments. She went in at 10pm on Friday right before our ice storm. The tech said my wait could be in excess of 2 hours but took my cat to the back right away to assess if she was stable. She was - fever of 104.5 but otherwise ok. At 1 am the doc came out with an early assessment and needed to run tests to rule some issues out. She also wanted to get some pain meds and fluids going. I learned alot from the doc. She asked if I wanted an assessment before we started. This would allow me to pick and choose the next steps and with the insurance 80% of what they showed me would me covered so it was easy to say yes to all. This first step included some lab panels: Blood and urine work that they assess in house and an X-ray that they might need help reading - radiologist is off site. The doc said they wanted to at least get pain meds on board and fluids going and wanted to observe her. Two to three hours. I had to get some friends down to Eugene by 330 am for an early flight so I had to pay before I left and I had to come back or my sense is this would turn into a hospitalization and more money for me. That made sense to me. I then wondered how many people just leave their pets when they can't pay and then the vet now has to make other decisions. I got back at 430 am and the vet said likely they would have to wait until 6am to get the radiologists input. I asked if I could go home and come back. She let me and said 7am would be fine. I came back and the doc said that her blood and urine panels came back normal. She was perplexed by her fever however. So she sent me home w some pain meds and anti biotics and told me to watch her carefully the next 24 hours. My cat didn't eat or drink the next day. I called WV about every 6 hours w an update and they updated My cats notes for the doctor. The ice storm began on this day. The tech also recommend monitoring my cats fever. Petco has digital recital thermometers that are easy to use. On Saturday night at 6pm I called and asked if I should bring the cat back in. The front desk person consulted w a doc and let me know it could be a 5-6 hour wait because my cat was somewhat stable. She said it would be $100 to bring her in as an emergency appt and less if I made a progress review appt for Sunday. We made a plan. If her fever went over 104.5 I would bring her in. I took her temp every hour and it was stable around 104°. They also put me on a wait list in case the ER emptied out. At midnight since the ER was full I made a 930am follow up appt for Sunday which is less than an ER appt. $60 or so. Good lesson there and the staff encouraged the less expensive appt. On Sunday, in spite of all the ice, the staff was was there on duty. Because I had an appointment the doctor saw us right away. We changed course a little bit because the cat wasn't eating or drinking and I got some liquid pain meds and feeding syringe in case you didn't start eating soon. Then there was a debate about a antibiotic injection that lasts for two weeks. Since she wasn't eating or drinking, we decided this was a good plan. It's not the best defense for an infection, but I will tell you it likely worked. I was also given the option to pay for a couple other panels and I will tell you with insurance, it's nice not to have to worry about the cost of these. In the meantime, Alpine vet hospital, which was closed, and Willamette vet”

“6 weeks ago my dog got sick suddenly. She is 10 years old going on 11 and I knew something wasn't right. I brought her to west hills where she had been before once or twice. They got her in through admitting same day and we started a long 6 week journey of trying to find out what was going on and eventually treating her symptoms to make her comfortable. The quality of care we received was more than I anticipated. I grew up having dogs that my parents rarely took to the vet (luckily they didn't have a whole lot of issues) so the process of veterinary care was relatively new. I was bringing my girl Shanook in 1-2 times a week and multiple calls and texts a week connecting with Dr.Fogarty and Dr.Cole. Last night, after 6 weeks of ups and downs, I knew my girl was tired and done. I called Dr.Cole and we made the choice to let her go. I brought her in and the whole process was so peaceful.. heartbreaking but I know she went peacefully and she wasn't in any pain. I'm so happy that her last trip was with Dr.Cole and it was someone who loved her and knew what a special girl she was. I'm glad she was assisted to heaven by people that knew her and loved her. For all things, I highly recommend this hospital for your pets. Everyone is so kind and they do truly come to care, know and love your pet like it's theirs. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for everything you did for my best girl.”
