The Villa Chateau Apts is dilapidated, and there's major problems with getting any maintenance issues fixed, if you ask me, I would say only rent here as a last resort and a "SLUM LORD" operates these dilapidated units, they are in need of major repairs and the maintenance crew never comes to fix anything.

I had a good time, always felt fairly quiet, spacious and safe. Occasionally you could hear the train at 2 am, I only heard it because I was up at weird hours. Walls are thin, but the neighbors are quiet. The deadbolt on my door was a little tricky to set, but my roommate and I never put a work order in to fix it. Also we did not get all of our security deposit, but most of it was taken for cleaning fees, which though higher than expected were still understandable.

Yes it’s cheap but you should invest 100-200$ more into where you’ll be living. Management is not good. Built in the 1970’s. Things were broken before moving in that I put in my pre move in surgery and was still charged for.I paid 16$ cash in rent and got my receipt. But they still charged me in my FMO. Yes it’s only $16, but it’s the fact it happened.I was blamed for things I didn’t do, and there was always loud homeless people near by ( don’t mind them very much but it made it hard to sleep at night)Overall I had a terrible experience and only last 3 months while I looked for something better. Now I only pay 100 more and have double the space. My heating bill isn’t through the roof and my management is 10 times better. I work in property management and they did a lot of illegal things. If you’re a student or even a family please take your business. Anywhere else. It’s not worth your stress.

My experience with Villa Chateau apartment was very nice, especially the manager Billie Stanley and the cheap rent. However, sometimes it was very difficult to get hold of her. The maintenance requests were addressed on time, manager is friendly, cheap rent, month to month rental, quite tenants, smoke free vicinity- all these things make it enticing choice for people looking to save some money. In such a price, you wont get any apartment in Corvallis. However, the apartment is not a new complex. If you don't do anything really bad, then you can get your deposit refunded (carpet cleaning fee is mandatory).

I wouldn't recommend this place. Everything is outdated and the landlord is hard to contact sometimes. Took over a month to receive our security deposit and it had money taken out for things that didn't really have to be replaced (there were many more pressing issues). I did not feel safe at this place, the door did not feel secure either. Sketchy neighbors and a sketchy environment. There are lots of comparable apartments money wise that are much nicer and feel much safer in Corvallis. Look elsewhere.
