I am visibly transgender. I go to this store's deli today, during a lull, and they see me coming, and the entire staff start to feign busy work in order to avoid waiting on me..... This went on for several minutes.... No other customers show up.... When they realize I'm not going away without I get what I came for, they finally do wait on me. They are rude and push my buttons, trying to get a rise out of me, which, unfortunately and to my regret, was successful.

The is store is awful if you are using their drive and go shopping! Their shoppers don't know the difference between steak and roast! Twice now my steak has been substituted for roast which I hate! They also don't look for your items very had and just say they are not in stock! I had even a worse experience yesterday! No thank you, won't be using this service any further! Just horrible!

It's ok. Nice store and friendly people. The prices are very high though, so I only come here for the Starbucks or one off grocery items.

I rented a Rug Doctor. I paid cash. There was a deposit. I received no instructions or Rug Doctor receipt. I have rented Rug Doctor products since 1992 (mostly from a CA Safeway). I have never had a problem or complaint about the machines upon return. I was informed that 'I hadn't even tried to clean the machine' (false). No problem specifically was cited. I was told to take the machine back home and 'clean it properly' or I would not get my $25.00 deposit back. Since I was unable to make a special round trip to Safeway that day I had to allow them to keep my deposit (paid in cash). I was given no receipt and I feel like I was robbed. Customer Service could just take the 25 dollars out of the till and say I had cleaned the machine properly. I've had other problems as well, including the Pharmacy. This is the first time I felt that something dishonest was going on though.

Customer service is great. But today was the second time in a row that they didn't have cooked jo's. And this has happened many times before at multiple Safeway's. The breakfast burrito is served from 6am to 11pm. I came in at 6:44, I asked if I could have a breakfast burrito that I made time out of my BUSY work day to stop by. The person said "no ... I can cook them for you"... I just walked away because I'm so tired of them not having the main ingredient ready.

Pharmacy- This pharmacy is probably the worst I've been to, and am switching immediately now that I've found a better, private one (Philomath Pharmacy). Your experience here will be entirely dependent on whoever's currently working the desk. It's sad, because there are some genuinely nice people who work here, but the slow, and inept outnumber the functional. Every other time I get my medicine here, there's some sort of problem which has me waiting for at least another three days, and having to call it in multiple times. They always fill the first prescription they've ever gotten, not the most up-to-date; every single time I've gotten a certain medication, one that HAS NOT CHANGED for at least a YEAR, they still give me the wrong quantity vs dosage, run out 30 days in advance, and tell me I'm basically out of luck since it's marked at too early to refill. If you need very time-sensitive injection-based ones, I can't stress enough how much you do not go here. Because of COVID, it's actually gotten a bit BETTER for needle-based medication, because the pharmacist themselves have to pre-package it for you, instead of a tech trying to count them out, let alone the right gauge. God forbid if a tech named Bambi's at the desk; you'll be in line for at least 40 minutes, she won't understand what you're asking, and always has to bother the poor overworked pharmacist for help with things that are a total non-issue. I honestly have no idea why Bambi is there, every time I'm there when she's working, there's at least five people in line. I try to be as understanding and patient as possible, but I've been having these problems here for FOUR YEARS, which should really tell you something, when they can't get it right after that long. If you're able to, for the sake of your own health, do not go here. If you do, be prepared to call in and check on every medication at least twice, forever.

SAFEWAY PHARMACY If I could give them a zero star review, I would. Every time I go here, there is always a problem. They are constantly are messing up refills and prescriptions. Techs are not helpful and unwilling to actually look for the prescriptions. I called for a refill on my inhaler and they said they had to contact my doctor, it would be ready in about four days. The lady said she could not do anything else for me and if I wanted it sooner then I would have to go to my doctor. Okay, so I did. I went in four hours after my virtual doctors appointment for a prescription for a new inhaler and they could not find my prescription. I was told "I had no new prescriptions and there was nothing they could do." She said "We are still waiting for the refill to go through." I told her I had a new prescription that was sent over because I had an online doctors appointment at 9am. She did not check and she says "there is nothing I can do because I do not have a prescription for it." I said "okay I will check" and I left. I began calling the help line and put on a call back list for my doctor. I looked at the App on "MyChart" which states she prescribed the medication and sent it over to that exact pharmacy. I then downloaded the Safeway Pharmacy App and it has my prescription on there! I called back and a man picks up. I tell him my info and he says it will take an hour for my prescription to be ready since the pharmacist is on lunch. I ask him why couldn't they find my prescription when I went in an hour ago. He says "electronic prescriptions take longer to receive and there is nothing I could do because I just got it." My doctors appointment was at 9am and it was now 1:46pm. I went in an hour before calling back and they had no record of it and it really took 4+ for an electronic prescription to go through?! So I told him I wanted to switch pharmacies because they always mess up my prescriptions. He then tells me to "go on ahead" and hangs up. Not even 5 minutes later, I get a text saying my prescription is filled even though he told me it would take an hour since the pharmacist was on lunch.

This Safeway is the worst store ever! You stand in line waiting to check out longer than it takes to gather the items you need. Holy F@$k! I keep thinking I'll try one more time because I just need one item and every time they suck!! Never again. Market Of Choice has their customer service on point.

Price gouging Ammonia. Plenty available, too! Safeway doubled in price to $3.49 per quart. This is the store brand. Cashier simply suggested that Safeway get their act together! $1.49 @ HD and $1.69 @ Winco on same day.

Worst customer service ever. Ridiculously long lines and the slowest cashiers I've had the unfortunate experience of dealing with. Ugh.

The only reason this review is not 5 stars is because their deli is a rip off. They used to have good sandwich meal deals for $5.50. Now, the sandwiches are $6.49 each, and they nickle and dime you over everything...bacon, avocado, pesto, cheese. So at Safeway, you can either spend a lot of money for a tasty sandwich, or you can spend a little money for a somewhat decent sandwich. You're better off just going to Subway. Their whole roasted chickens are another rip off. You can get a small bird for $7.49 at Safeway or a huge one at Costco for $5. Buyer beware.
