Let me just edit this for brevity. This place has delivered my packages and mail to the same wrong address (not even close in name either) and their mail to me at least 10 times in less than 6 months. Three packages I ordered just disappeared and they have a habit of marking packages "delivered with signature" when it wasn't even dropped off yet. If this place wasn't a government run organization, it would have been shut down years ago lol Does Newman from Seinfeld work there?

I'm so sick of this branch not delivering Amazon packages to my address. The last 3 times I've ordered something it has gone through USPS instead of UPS and each time it goes through USPS I have to walk across town to pick it up. They give a new excuse every time and when complaining, the branch manager even hung up on me at one point. Excuses include, "Security Door Blocking Mailboxes" (There is no security door there as evidenced by the fact that there was an "attempted delivery" slip in my mailbox????.), "Security Code for front Door Invalid", (There is no security code interface. It's a call box and it's written on my package instructions.), "USPS policy is that we don't climb stairs because it's dangerous", (This was my favorite. My 66 year old mother with hip replacement surgery has no problem climbing the 15 stairs to the call box. It was also what the branch manager told me before he hung up on me. I followed up and got a copy of USPS policies from a friend and no such policy exists.)
It's pure, absolute laziness. Is it any wonder that USPS is dying out and being replaced with more reliable services?

I am a handicapped woman who is almost 60, I ordered something on Amazon that I couldn't pick up on my own. It's now been 2 and 1/2 weeks and it's an ongoing fight between the local post office and Amazon. They continue to say they attempted to deliver it when they never did. The three times they said they did I was here and they did not come up to my house.
I'm at a loss as to why USPS bids for jobs from Amazon to deliver products, just so that they can say they won't deliver it??
This is not the only time it's happened. There has been several instances where I've had to call them and either had to go down and pick an item, or ask them to redeliver it, because they never showed up when they said they did. My living room window faces my front porch. And I have cameras there's no way they could show up and it not have been caught on a camera or me see them. One time after a week of discussion back and forth between them & us, they finally delivered the product and then stepped on it, it wasn't a dent there was a footprint on it where the top half had been caved in. I've also had them cram boxes into the mailbox that do not fit. Anybody with eyes could see that, yet MY mail carrier broke it because they forced it in the mailbox. If there was any other option I never use USPS!
People who work at McDonald's or a fast food restaurant or even a grocery store would be fired for the behavior that goes on on a regular basis at the USPS office.
Also I gave them a one-star because there's no way to give them less. personally I would give them minus two stars if there was a way to.

I have always had great service at this post office. They are efficient and friendly. I mail packages often.

Apparently the postman can decide who gets mail and who doesn’t. Have been trying to get mail sent to my in laws for weeks and he keeps returning it to sender even though my name is in the mailbox. How is this not illegal?

This post office won't deliver packages to my house claiming my driveway isn't appropriate for the mail delivery truck. My driveway is smoother than most roads in Cottage Grove. I blame this refusal to deliver on poor work ethic and laziness by my designated post lady.
