AMAZING!! How lucky is Creswell, OR to have Welcome Home Animal Sanctuary??? I’d say very lucky! This place is filled with kind hearted people caring for the sweetest animals who get to live here after being rescued from different harsh conditions. They all have a story to tell. Some of the animals are still a little shy when around new people at first but Welcome Home offers them space and time to heal those emotional and often physical wounds. The animals are so loved and cared for. When you walk the sanctuary you will see special brushes and massagers scattered around. I don’t think I’ve ever seen an animal who loves massages more than “Pickles” a pig. He will come up and sit politely for treats or scratches. Each resident here receives regular vet care. Many of the animals are on special dietary needs and Misty, the owner and founder, makes sure they all get exactly what they need. I can’t say enough good things about this incredible sanctuary. If you get the opportunity to visit or volunteer I would definitely recommend it!

What I love about welcome home sanctuary is the Community and the devotion. For all the beautiful animals grateful for Misty and Robert for putting together this beautiful sanctuary that we all get to be a part and create an amazing family together💜💜💜

To be with the non-human animals at this sanctuary is like coming home to my kin. So grateful to have the opportunity to volunteer here. And meeting Misty and Robert, the humans who live here, and who started this sanctuary, was also coming home. Heart so full of gratitude for what they have created and how welcoming and committed they are. It's hard to describe in words the feeling of standing with Romeo, the tallest steer, or rubbing Pepper the pig's belly, or being nose to nose with Fred the goat. Part of the huge pleasure for me is the non-verbal aspect of it all. Oxytocin flowing!! Home sweet healing home. 💜💜

This is a beautiful place, people are kind and so generous with their time. Romeo is truly the star but all of the animals - from the pigs to the funny goats are all so lovable !

I've been a volunteer with Welcome Home since the start of the year, and I love this place. It's a great place to visit (they have visits available to the public throughout the summer months) but an even better place to volunteer!
The animal residents and the fellow volunteers make it a wonderful place to relax and connect with the farm animals that would have otherwise faced exploitation and slaughter. Knowing that they get to enjoy the rest of their lives unfettered is a blessing.
If you've never been, I strongly encourage you to visit and/or volunteer! Shoutout to the founder, Misty - she's incredibly hard working and would love to welcome you to the crew!

This place is amazing!!! Such up up close and personal visits with the animals. And the staff/ volunteers are so awesome and friendly. So willing to give you the individual animals personal history/story. A MUST VISIT!!

I also volunteer at Welcome Home Sanctuary. Misty and her husband are amazing. They really care about the animals at their sanctuary and the well being of all animals. It is a pleasure helping out when I can and seeing how happy the animals at their forever home. 🥰
