I’ve gone out of my way to support this local business for several years despite their high prices. The younger guy with a beard who seems like a manager is shockingly rude, passive aggressive, and condescending. I’ve witnessed it numerous times. He clearly doesn’t appreciate my business so I’ll take it elsewhere.

The shop is very cute and has almost everything you need for your farm or garden. However, I purchased the garden compost and it was a massive disappointment. Not only was it not fully turned into compost, there was and continues to be more than a reasonable amount of trash. Plastic garbage bags, chunks of plastic, glass, wire, baling twine, even a few marbles. I've bought bulk organic compost many times and have never experienced such poor quality. The response from whoever runs their email was very flippant and dismissive. Massively disappointed.

The people who work at the business are knowledgeable and friendly. After you pay at the register they are quick to hold the door for you as you leave.

Old Mill is GREAT for people doing some more “advanced” gardening or farming. Huge selection of 50 lb bags of things like bat guano, kelp meal, azomite, etc, all for super reasonable prices.
