We visited Dayton in the summer of 2025 for 2 months and did not have a mailbox for mail delivery at our Airbnb. Consequently, we had to go to the post office 2-3 times a week to get our mail. Everyone who works there has been absolutely marvelous! They are friendly, kind, helpful, and go out of their way to make every interaction a positive one. When we were ready to leave and still had 2 packages that had not arrived they were very reassuring and told us that they would make sure that the mail was forwarded on to us. And, as one reviewed commented, there is hardly ever a line that you have to wait in. Love this PO!

BEWARE... Not if, but When the delivery vehicle destroys your property and landscaping including irrigation, trees, plants, possibly pets ... Tygh, the Dayton postmaster, will arrive promptly, be very cordial and Honest, telling you precisely which USPO employee did the damage, direct you to the proper procedure and paperwork and procedure to report a valid claim. he supports.... (PS. RECORD him & install hidden cameras). Somewhere along the line you get a major ant infestation in your mailbox for telling the truth. Then you begin the waiting and are Blindsided by the cover up and Denial of claim. Ironically you will receive the Denial in the mail After the Date to Appeal the Claim. The blatant property damage and corruption all happened to me, also a 23 year veteran of the USAF, during the Biden Aministration. Rain, sleet, snow and corruption.

This is a big shout out to Lizzy at the Dayton post office. I phoned with questions regarding my deceased mother's mail service. Lizzy was so kind and helpful. She even called me back with additional information. I have never had such a positive experience at the post office. Great job Lizzy and thank you!

I had a misplaced package, so I filled out the online form through USPS. I received a call today from Lizzie that the Postmaster was going to personally investigate the matter, he found my package, and placed it in my mailbox. I am very grateful and impressed with what they did for me.

First off the 2 people behind the counter were very helpful and got me the package after I drove there to get it.The actual delivery person who didn’t even put the package in his truck but still scanned it “out for delivery” and then left a “sorry we missed you” sticker not on my door so I would know why my package still wasn’t delivered but inside my mailbox telling me it wouldn’t fit in my mail box shouldn’t have a job. I shouldn’t have to do his job for him when I’m paying for a delivery.

Some of the worst post office employees I’ve ever encountered in the whole United States.I’m here to update my review. They got rid of the person causing problems at the post office and their new post master is excellent person to deal with.

You pay $60 plus every 6 months, plus taxes to have this P.O. Box and they won’t even put your packages in a locker for 2 days. Such b.s. I’m sure if I paid $100 every 6 months they would be happy. Also, we don’t have them deliver anything to our house, so they don’t even have to do that!

Love the Team here! I live in Dayton, a rural location. I always get a smile, they remember my name and finances name. We love that there is never a line and the office staff is down to earth and helpful when you need something! I have never had a problem with theft of packages or any other complications. THANK YOU TEAM DAYTON BRANCH USPS

The post office employees are super friendly (which I am grateful for). However, I have to say that the mail is frequently delivered to the wrong addresses... There has been very important mail with our private information in it that has never been received from months ago. We have not even been here a year and we have mentioned it to the post office many times. The response is that there is always someone new or a sub in the back doing the mail. We have never had this problem with the postal services in any other town. We signed up for the online Informed Delivery emails because of this problem. I do hope this will all be fixed soon.
UPDATE: We have now had a package go missing that had been expected for over a week. I watched the mail carrier stop by the mailboxes, yet according to USPS Informed Delivery, the package should have been in the box, and it was not. My husband contacted the office and a man named Ty was the one helping. He went out of his way after work to track down the package and found it at another box down the street. I am super grateful for him going out of his way to fix the mistake that was made!!!!
