Early 1907 vintage hotel, great westerly view of Mt Hood. Great food, beer and wine, no liquor

Durfur is a bit out of the way and small. However, The Balch Hotel is a gem that I stumbled across. The building and grounds are immaculate.

Great accomodations with a personal touch and attention to details. The dinner was superb and could compete with most any high end place. Wonderful stay in this idyllic little community.
