I don't really write or review things online. But I feel it necessary to say what happened to me today. I was picking berries with my infant and we decided to stop here for a sandwich, i ordered a club sandwich. It arrived promptly, but it was lacking in many areas. There was literally one slice of turkey and one slice of ham, grilled crispy and when I went to inquire about the lack of meat, the woman working, who claimed to be an owner, told me she followed the recipe. I told her it wasn't edible and I was sending it back. She took a photo of my license plate and said she was gonna call the police on me for dining and dashing. I said I haven't dined though, and she kept on following me around clapping and yelling in my face, while I was holding my infant and threatening to press charges. I said, fine, call the police, let's deal with this....This is wild you're weird.. when I spoke with them I explained the situation and how silly this is. If you order food at a normal restaurant and it is subpar, and you send it back, they do not make you pay for it. I literally took a bite of it, and it was inedible!! He explained that they could still charge me with dining and dashing, even though I did not eat and that I could take it up in civil court. So I paid 13.50 for a sandwich that I took two bites of. The situation was handled really poorly, which is wild because it was just a sandwich that was made poorly. I would never come here again.
And I see that they respond to every single one star, i hope you respond to this.I hope you make this right because I will be telling everybody what happened. And if you're really going after someone who had a terrible experience at your restaurant than your restaurant must be not doing very well, had she remade my sandwich properly. I would've come back numerous times with my friends and my family. And this could have been a fun place to go! But sadly, it was so poorly handled that I will tell everybody I know to never go here.

Beautiful location, friendly cafe staff, and large campsite, but please clean the bathroom and shower. Serious, serious upgrades are needed. The toilets are not bolted to the floor, and the shower was plugged and stagnant disgusting water standing In the bottom of the shower with black mold. There is one shower and one bathroom for the entire campground. We were actually very shocked at the conditions of the bathroom and you have to pay $1.50 for three minutes to use the shower. We did not even want to step foot in the shower and washed up in a bucket in our camper. We paid almost $200 for 3 nights and $122 to eat burgers to go from the cafe. Like I said the location is beautiful with the lake and the large site, but the bathroom and shower situation was frightening…

This review is long overdue. I visited earlier in May and had a great time out on Fish Lake. This place is ran by some of the sweetest people you will meet. At the time of my visit, there were two amazing ladies who helped me with my kayak and pontoon boat rental. I stopped on a whim while visiting Klamath Falls and I had never felt more welcomed. They provided great fishing recommendations and even offered to loan me one of their personal rods since I was out of town and didn’t have any equipment on me. When I did go out on the water the next day, they were very accommodating due to poor weather in the morning and once it cleared it up we were able to spend the entire day on the boat. We had a great time and can’t wait to be back!

This place has so much potential, unfortunately it's not managed good. The cabin was what you would except for a cabin but it was dirty. Every single kitchen plate, bowl, silverware, etc. was dirty. I mean food stuck to it. We had to wash everything. No sponge in cabin which was difficult to clean caked on food off the dishes will a rag. So disgusting. The floor probably hasn't been mopped in months maybe years. The staff was not friendly. Not welcoming at all. No one smiled behind the counter. The kitchen and dining area was dirty to where we couldn't trust it to eat there so we drove to the next resort to have dinner the 1st night and cooked our own breakfast and dinner. The lake is pretty though. The only positive experience we had was Mike, the guy at the boat dock. He was super nice and very helpful. This was our 1st time coming to Fish Lake and now we know we won't come back. We will stick with Lake of the woods!

RV’ers be aware that during peak season when A/C use is high in the RV resort keep an eye on the panel voltage. Our A/C was sounding bogged down so we plugged in the volt meter and it was registering between 93v and 96v at 5pm. In the morning when it was cool outside and A/C use was down the meter was reading 114v. Otherwise we had a great time at the resort.

We have been going to this lake for 20 years. Last couple years we have been renting a pontoon boat and haven't had any issues. This year was told that with our crew of people we would have no issue with renting one. Reserved and paid for the boat. Went to the dock with our 8 people and was told we couldn't go with that many people. The dock attendant was cussing at us for thinking we could go with that many. Morning employee said no problem with 8. As we left the dock owner and not sure if his wife or daughter approached us asking what was wrong. Realizing he was intoxicated. We asked for a refund since his employee stated we were able to go with our 8 people. He refused a refund and when I asked for his day time employee name he stated I was threatening his employees. I stated no I was asking for documentation if I needed to file a formal complaint. Worst of the worse interactions with a business. Not sure if it was the owners intoxication or just what. Looked them up on the better business bureau of oregon and they have an f rating. Do not recommend anyone dealing with the lodge or the marina. The campsite are ran by a different place so they were amazing. But never again in the store.

We've stayed twice now, first stayed in cabin 2 I believe. We had no heater problems, closed off the bedroom door and left a window cracked in the living room. Let our room stay cold. There was alot of snow as it was before Christmas. At night we could hear the sound of the ice clinking together on the lake, it was just beautiful.
The second time we came up for my sons birthday, rented 2 rustic cabins. 1 for him and his friends and 1 for us. ( He still slept in our cabin. #mamasboy) These cabins were perfect for such occasion. We all brought our own blankets, and I'd definitely stay in theae again. But nothing wil beat the view on the other cabins. ❤️
There wasn't as much snow, but the boys enjoyed ice skating on the lake and exploring its vastness in the dark.
We layed on the lake and stargazed during the night and some of us were fortunate enough to see 2 shooting stars! This was the perfect location to get away from society and just be care free.
On this second trip we guaranteed ourselves a 3rd by leaving a phone behind. It tucked itself away between the wall and the mattress and the following day we ended up bring the Littles. My 8 and 11 year old thoroughly enjoyed the little ice skates they rented out and we stayed till after dark enjoying the warm fire by the lodge.

This place is a must stop by and at least say hello and enjoy a coffee and a meal.
We love this place, tons to do in winter and summer from ice skating, ice fishing, tons of stuff to rent, and more than I could ever list. I highly recommend a visit

We stayed during Thanksgiving week 2024 in cabin #8. The area is beautiful. Tall trees were all flocked due to freezing fog. It was a picturesque drive in.
Although we made reservations a month before they still were not ready for us. The stairs and porch were covered in that thick crusty ice that the person could not remove, so it was dicey everything up and down.
The cabin was rustic but rustic doesn't mean it needs to be filthy. They leave dishes and a hot plate to use but they are dirty and gross. So bring your own things like you are camping. There were 2 actual nails to hang a coat on. The 2 twin beds were fine to use sleeping bags on. You can push them together but there is a 4 inch gap between them. It has a sink with cold water but it doesn't drain well and just brushing your teeth causes a 5 minute drain time. It was plenty warm however. It has a propane wall heater that is either on or off. It didn't allow for much adjusting, so prepare to be warm when sleeping.
The trails are not maintained, but we kind if liked crunching through the snow. It is a beautiful location and we will probably come back but we will be in a tent. Our friends paid extra and stayed in cabin #2, the first night the heater kept going out so they were dealing with being cold all night. Their cabin was dirty also but they had a bathroom and a covered porch.
