“We just had our wedding at Deep Woods on October 11, with decorating and rehearsal the day prior. We shopped for our venue for several weeks during last summer and looked all over, and after we found Deep Woods we read the reviews, and we debated, and we decided to go see the place- which was absolutely gorgeous and exactly what we pictured. After meeting with him in person it seemed to me that Charlie Sr just had some rules about his venue (that he was very upfront about to us: it’s his catering, no dogs, if the yard was squishy from rain then we’d need to pivot so the audience’s chairs weren’t sinking into the grass, and stay on the paths and out of the landscaping). I suspected if we respected his rules, he would respect us. And that is exactly what happened. Charlie was a VERY gracious host. The food was fantastic (the fajitas Friday night were delicious, and for our big dinner the tritip was great and the chicken was probably the best I’ve ever had, so many people came up to us and complemented our dinner) and Amanda the bartender was fabulous (she did it all, she was so attentive, she checked on us so many times and even cut/served our cake). We knew we were gambling with an October wedding, and it was rainy: Charlie worked with us Friday morning to figure out how to arrange chairs and we were able to get married on the back deck, with the gorgeous trees in the background, and everyone on solid ground (including us!) Our day was perfect. Thank you Charlie for making our celebration everything we wanted it to be!”
