I can’t say enough good things about my stays at Barking Mad Farm B&B. Emily and Rob are truly wonderful hosts who go above and beyond to make every guest feel at home. The rooms are clean, cozy, and well-appointed, providing a perfect retreat after a day of exploring Enterprise and Joseph.
What really sets this place apart is the personal touch. If anything wasn’t just right with my room or I needed advice on a local hike, Emily and Rob were quick to address. They also took the time to show me around the farm, which was a fantastic experience. Playing fetch with the dogs and cuddling the adorable piglets was definitely a highlight.
I’ve returned several times to stay with Emily and Rob over the last five years, and each visit has been just as delightful as the last. I can’t wait to come back again. If you’re looking for a charming and welcoming getaway, Barking Mad Farm B&B is the place to be. Highly recommend!

I cannot say enough good things about Barking Mad Farm and hosts, Emily and Rob. My husband and I have visited Barking Mad at least once a year for ten years. From our first time, we knew we'd make it an annual tradition. The farmhouse is charming and warm. We felt at home the moment we walked in. I think we've stayed in every room over the years and they all have their own charm. The setting is spectacular -- the Wallowas, foothills, bison heards, pigs and piglets, and the stars at night. Spectacular! It's such a special get away and perfect for a group of friends from Portland to go, disconnect from the city and spend quality time in and outdoors. Emily and Rob are super warm and friendly and we look forward to seeing them as much as anything. Highly, highly recommend. It's a truly special place.

Been coming for years. Can't imagine staying anywhere else in Wallowa County!
Room is private, spacious, and comfortable. Farm is fun. Dogs are happy. Location is quiet. Views are incredible. Hosts couldn't be better.

This beautiful farm is a bit tucked away but well worth the drive. The fresh morning breakfast is all homemade with most of the offerings grown at their own farm. I stayed in the apartment above the garage with extraordinary views of the land from both the front and back views. Sunrise and sunset were amazing. The bed was really comfortable and easy to enjoy a full sleep. I wish I could have stayed longer.

We had a great time staying at Barking Mad Farm B&B in late June and exploring the area. Our room was excellent, with a fridge, microwave, coffee maker and a comfortable bed. Views from our room, including the mountains were really good. The breakfasts prepared by Emily were outstanding and were different every day of our stay. A highlight was a guided tour by Emily of the various animals on the farm, especially the piglets! Emily and Rob are great hosts with a great knowledge of the area and gave excellent recommendations on hikes and places to visit. We particularly enjoyed the tramway trip to the top of Mount Howard and the East Moraine hike with outstanding views of Wallowa Lake. We strongly recommend Barking Mad Farm as a great place to stay and explore the area. 5 stars. Thank you!

It was perfect! The owners are friendly, very knowledgeable about the area and live chatting with their guests. The rooms are clean and very well decorated. The beds are comfortable and the bathroom is done perfectly. The entire property is gorgeous, with the mountains in the background. They are dog friendly and supply 2 food bowls for the dog guests. Also a jar of dog treats. They have a very large grassed, fenced area just for the dogs to run and.okay off leash. The food was very well done and a nice variety. I would definitely recommend them to anyone who needs a relaxing and comfortable place to stay. I will definitely go back. 5 STARS!!!

This was our first time to Eastern Oregon. We went because we wanted to do the driving barn tour. We went the last part of March, before the crowds! Emily and Rob were wonderful hosts, and the farmhouse was fabulous! She was not serving breakfast yet, as we were a bit early for the season, but the room was very comfortable and there was a fire in the wood stove each afternoon when we returned, which was the best because it was cold and windy out! They have a nice big barn which houses about 10 pigs and 3 goats, along with their two dogs! They are right at the base of the mountains, so the view was spectacular! I highly recommend staying at Barking Mad Farm.

One of the nicest B&Bs I've ever stayed in. Super great hosts, Emily & Rob Klavins; are also area conservation leaders in their own right. My room was uber comfortable and this one was spacious. Plan to return next year with my dear wife...see Zumwalt Prairie and explore more local hikes and sights.

Our stay at the Barking Mad B&B was perfect from start to finish. Our room was clean, comfortable and serene. After taking a sunset walk (the area really is like a landscape painting), we came back to our twin suite and listened as the sounds of birds putting their babies to sleep slowly turned to crickets. When full darkness set, we went out and did some stargazing on the front lawn before retiring to our suite to browse through the library. In the morning, we had breakfast made by our host Emily. (Thanks for going the extra mile to make gluten free crepes for Stephanie!). A perfect stay! We look forward to returning in September or October.

We had a wonderful experience at Barking Mad Farm B & B. We stayed in the suite above the garage so had so much privacy. Emily gave us a tour of the farm and the animals which was so appreciated. It was a wonderful location to grab dinner in Enterprise. And breakfast was perfect (especially the bacon!). Thanks for a great stay.

We were seeking a get-away from the city and an opportunity to explore a part of the state we'd never visited. We could not have picked a more perfect place to achieve our goals! Barking Mad Farm was welcoming, comfortable and cozy. (We stayed in the spacious and private Seven Devils room.) Our host, Emily, was friendly, offered great guidance on hikes, restaurants, etc., and made the BEST breakfasts each morning. Each morning, we enjoyed looking out our window to see where the dogs, goats and pigs were. Getting to meet the piglets was certainly a high point for me! We were not ready to leave after our three nights, but we did so feeling totally relaxed and rejuvenated--and making plans for our return trip.
