The Bookloft is a real old fashioned and superb independent bookstore, a throwback to the wonder days of being a kid in a small town. It is an adorable, super cute, and cozy space with a great and fantastic selection of books, noted for the sapience of its selections. The store features narrow tall doors, a squeaky wood floor, and the smell of real books, offering a unique shopping experience. The staff provide great service, are extremely helpful, quick to help, and able to make splendid recommendations. The very nice layout makes it easy to find something of interest. Visitors can also buy coffee and peruse local art in the back of the shop. Located across the street from the courthouse, it is absolutely worth the visit and a treasure not to be missed by anyone visiting the Wallowa Lake area. It is indeed worthy of a stop to support such an endeavor.
