I drive from Springfield. The wait can seem lengthy, (especially when relief is needed), but you cannot deny their care, knowledge, and professionalism. I will most likely never go anywhere else. Thank you ladies for taking such great care of my Itchy and Scratchy!

I can’t believe this place has a 4.1 and that is sending me back to Yelp. Banfield is an absolute mess.

My animals have been patience at this facility for 10 years and I’m officially fed up. We have had a pet plan that we have been paying over 100 a month for that is essentially worthless. The care has declined since the primary physician left a couple years ago. A month ago, we were quoted 561 to remove some teeth from our older dog, when we went to pick him up, we were told it is actually going to be over 3000! Now we are trying to get our dog a medication to help with his glaucoma and we can’t receive it until we go to another follow up appointment, even though we were there 2 weeks ago and never informed of the need for follow up. I’m done, this place is a rip off and just tries to bleed you of every penny possible.

My pets have been patients with optimum wellness plans at this clinic for nearly a decade (one pet since I got her eight years ago). Lately, the quality of care has gone down and I would recommend looking elsewhere for your pets needs. The main reason I gave them three stars is because Dr. Harvey has been wonderful and I wish we could see her all the time. If it wasn’t for our long history and the wellness plans, I would switch clinics.

Friendly folks who genuinely care for animals and know their stuff. The pet plan is a decent deal. It gets very pricey fast though if you just agree to all the extra diagnostics. Two paws up.

This review is mainly about the vet tech Vered but also thank you Dr Nelson for treating Bundy. My dog Bundy was attacked by 3 dogs and I called the office 2 minutes before closing and was crying hysterically about Bundy and spoke with Vered. Vered was the kindest, most empathetic, gave the best possible customer service she could have during my super stressful event, she was even telling me to take deep breaths and that I should not drive when I am this upset and helped me calm down. She suggested an emergency vet but after driving and told wait time was longer then next morning I took Bundy in. Luckily, Vered was there, remembered me and helped make sure Bundy was taken care of. She even stayed late, as the place was clearly closed and explained everything to me since Bundy needed 3 drain tubes, stitches, medications, etc. I am 32 years old and have worked in the medical field, with children, all sorts of jobs that require customer service and I have never been on the phone with someone like this. I cannot praise her enough!

I asked a question about getting flea medicine in a larger dose to split up between our animals. I got a lecture about not sharing meds between cats and dogs. They have a right to say that right , no problem. Another vet did though . I looked the meds from that company up. It is the same med in the same concentration and the same inactive ingredients. Banfield asked for a review. I gave a bad one as the Dr. didn’t even know the form of medicine I was talking about existed yet she lectured me on how wrong I was. Within a day, I get a message, supposedly in reply to my query, which I never sent to the flea and tick company, with my name and email! What?! Who else could have used MY identity to ask a question about a form of that med I have never used or been interested in, right after my experience with them, when they have that information of mine. I was mad. I wrote the administration and said I wanted it handled formally! I believe it is a big deal, for one, because to they are in charge of our information!
I have received no reply from the company at all.
And now we are stuck as we still have to pay for insurance every month for one of our animals.
7/16/2024 Re Banfield's response here: I wrote them at the time, gave them all the information including my contact and the email from Bravecto and my response back to them, so no, I don't have to contact them AGAIN, they should be reviewing their employees handling of our personal information (seems like identity theft to me!), but they have NEVER contacted me. It is now July 2024. It seems to me they are only pretending to be attentive to their customers as I was pretty angry when I wrote them, so it was obvious that they should be addressing the situation, but, nope, they do nothing.

I scheduled my cat Boop for a dental cleaning/X-rays/bloodwork and surgery if indicated. The first time I took her for this appointment I was told she became fractious after blood draw and they asked me to bring her back in a few days later as they couldn't place an IV catheter that day due to her behavior.
Three days later I took her back as requested. I was told I would be called after the X-rays to discuss pricing of the surgery and give permission or decline the surgery. No one ever called me. I had to call them. They then told me she wouldn't be having the surgery at all and that they had already pulled her out of anesthesia (at 11 am is when I was told this when I called).
I was told they would call before pulling her out from anesthesia so I could say yes or no to the surgery that, as it turns out, WAS recommended for her. While I was on the phone with them after I called them, they asked me to come pick her up close to 2:30 and that I would meet with the vet to discuss what was going on.
I arrived at 3:00 due to work. When I got there is when they pulled the IV catheter. I only know because the tech brought Boop to me at 3:15PM and told me they had just pulled it so I should leave the bandage on for a while so blood loss doesn't occur. I asked why they never called for the surgery and was told they hadn't "double booked" so that surgery could actually take place. I also asked why the vet needed to speak with me and the tech told me there wasn't a need and that I would just need to get her on the schedule for one tooth extraction (more extractions are indicated on the paperwork) and that for just one tooth it would be about $1000 because it's a double root tooth.
Additionally, I called a few days later and I left a message to speake with the clinic manager. The person I spoke with was very understanding and also concerned with my experience and the treatment of Boop. It's been two weeks since I put that request in, and I've still had no call from the clinic manager.
I am extremely disappointed and am not planning on returning. I bought the optimum wellness plan specifically so I could make sure Boop's dental issues can be more easily kept up with on my part as she has juvenile gingivitis.
This is my first experience with Banfield and I think it will be my last. I can not state enough how completely and utterly disappointing and unprofessional my experience was overall.

Needed to restock on Revolution Plus for my cat, as I travel for work I was told I had to bring my cat into see the Dr. Before they would sell me the medicine. I am on their Welness Plan and they have the records to show I recently got my cat a comprehensive exam at another location within the past few weeks. This is a disgrace to have to but a cat through the stress of another vet visit. I then had a question for the Dr. and was told the Dr is busy and they cannot help me. What an awful company and awful system. Seriously contemplating canceling my Wellness Plan.

I love the people at the Willamette St Banfield. The front desk people and the Vet techs are very friendly, not only to me but my animals too. I've had Veterinarians that I really liked and some not as much but getting frustrated by the turnover. I believe my pets should have continuity for the benefit of their care the same as I do. Someone who recognizes your animal and the changes are important. I'm staying with them because I think it's a really good office and I hope the doc we are seeing now stays. Love the packages as it makes it so much easier to pay for a dental.

If I could give 0 stars I would. They replaced all the staff . I’ve been taking my dog here since she was born she is 4, I came back after 6 months to get a wellness check. They tried upselling everything out of pocket. Wouldn’t let me set up a wellness plan because of a collection account with them but still scheduled me an appointment and told me that it wouldn’t be a problem when calling to schedule , I came in and was told they couldn’t set up a wellness plan because of it after coming in for my scheduled appointment I set up over the phone They tried telling me if she was to be seen it would be $180 out of pocket for one semprica trio , heart worm test, and physical exam, all the staff were rude, one even mentioned my dog being timid and scared and I should do more social interaction, she literally LOVED all the old staff ,and the old staff LOVED her she is the sweetest dog. She jumped up on the counter to get a treat wagging her tail …. Not to mention they were practically yelling to everyone in the waiting room and the store I had an account in collections. Very poor experience PLEASE TAKE YOUR BUSINESS ELSEWHERE, I will never return to Banfield pet hospital after hearing the horror stories and personally experiencing it first hand.
