Went in to open an account I called they said they didn’t need appointment so I made appointment for next day I get there at 10:20 as my appointment was at 10:30 and they lady was going home so I said no problem tore up the paperwork they gave me and left. Horrible service and all this not one other person in the bank

Has seriously degraded over the years. They offered me free everything: checking, cashier's checks, ATM fees, safety deposit box, checks if I kept $500 in my account. This all slowly eroded away, that and the good service. Kept on getting notices of changes to services aka fees to be charged.They try to gouge you for everything. Only good thing is outside ATM's where you don't have to deal with lousy customer service. Bank manager here at Valley River branch is not good at her job and lacks professional customer care. She is the reason I am closing my account and going to Northwest Credit Union. I do not recommend this bank and encourage you to go elsewhere.

I love the staff at Banner & love the fact that checking is *free* as is ATM use (via reimbursement) anywhere. That part is a big five stars and then some.While there are few Banner Bank branches around town, they’re more or less accessible from anywhere, so after-hours deposits are easy (can do via mobile app with checks - but {of course} not with cash). Except - what’s with the Springfield branch not having an ATM? Not a deal-breaker, but it was definitely problematic from time to time when I used to work over there.What I don’t like is the lack of after-hours support. No customer service evenings or weekends unless you just want to turn your card off. What I *REALLY* don’t like is the mobile app. It’s clumsy, to put it mildly. Very user-unfriendly, difficult to navigate, and for whatever reason, I find myself constantly locked out of my account. It’s super annoying - but might not be be *as* annoying we’re it not for the limited customer support. So if the app locks you out on a Friday evening, you’re SOL til Monday... which is BS, especially given the weird hair-trigger settings the app must have to get you locked out all the time. Never had this issue with any other banking app, including B of A (which is a terrible, terrible institution - don’t walk, RUN away from them), PayPal, Chime, Cash, and Venmo. Better keep some cash in your mattress for these occasions.

The rates on the accounts are low. You can get better elsewhere, they don’t even recommend their own auto loans in person. Customer service isn’t good in general

They aren’t competitive in their lending. Poor rates in their checking and savings account, you can find better at a credit union.

Hard pass on this place. Rates are not competitive and bad customer service. This acts like a big bank, like Bank of America or Wells Fargo except the rates aren't as good. You can find a better bank with better rates easy. Staff is difficult to do business with as well. Find someplace else if you want your money taken care of

My wife and I were with Banner Bank for over 20 years when we made an application for a business loan with Bill Rienhard. We had already received another loan financing our other apartment complex within a couple of years before and this loan was to refinance our other apartment complex.

Banner is awesome. I love the sales approach they offer - It's not about what's good for them, it's about what's good for you. The Connected Checking is truly a winner on the table of checking accounts amongst banks. This bank does not act like a "bank". True integrity at its finest.
