Community: I attended the 8:30/9:30am sessions for almost three years. These two groups can be a fun and charismatic group. There is definitely a groupie vibe as a certain crowd is drawn here. On occasion there are weeks of themed workout attire. The community also partners with nonprofits and outreach.
Cost: Membership fees vary. Depending on who you talk to, some will pay less than $80 a month while others will pay close to $200. Once your contract is over, you can try to change your monthly fees but need to sign another contract for a specified time.
Workouts: They change weekly. You will hardly have a repeat experience of the same combination of workouts. Three days of the week are for cardio, and the other three days are for resistance/weight training.
The workouts are challenging, but if not done with proper form, can lead to major injury. A common injury at the gym is back, knee, and foot pain. The high intensity workouts are not sustainable for the aging body.
It is good to check in with the trainers and have a focus meeting. You can talk about anything from nutrition, to sleep, to proper form, to making goals. While I achieved most my goals, I had a hard time with bulking/thickening up so much, and this without taking any supplements.
Social media: There is an unconscious bias of who is photographed or filmed. Their images don’t necessarily reflect the demographics of the community or the wins/victories gained of everyone. It is helpful to check their social media for videos that demonstrate proper form for particular exercises. It can also be helpful to view their stories to get an idea of what to expect for the day’s workout.
Facility: For the most part, the gym and bathrooms are clean. There is only a 15 minute time frame for one class to exit and another to enter, and this is the reason why you may find the equipment soiled on occasion. There are no locker rooms, but you can put your personal items in an open cubby located near the front doors. There is not enough cubby space for the crowds, nor enough weights of choice to go around for everyone.
Staff: They are friendly and most will greet you by name and give you a high five. The trainers try to offer feedback during your workout, but due to the crowds, it is easy to overlook members engaging with improper form. Email correspondence is a hit and miss.
Childcare: This is a great perk. Make sure you sign up ahead of time because space is super limited.
Schedule: Saturday hours differ from week day hours.

Burn has been one of the best decisions I’ve made for my overall health. The community is top notch and the workouts are challenging but achievable. I’d encourage everyone to give it a try. The trainers are great at working with people of all fitness levels.

I tried Burn Boot Camp in Eugene and fell in love. You receive one-on-one attention from the coaches, while taking part in a collaborative workout with strangers that feel like teammates. The workouts are challenging and you feel excited about moving your body.

Burn Boot Camp is the supportive community that I didn’t know I needed. I feel uplifted and strong when I am there, and I am a better person for my participation! Trainers are knowledgeable and able to support through injuries, limitations, and rehab.

Best gym you’ll ever try! I never played sports of any kind, I remember finding any and all ways of getting out of gym class starting as young as elementary school. As I got older I tried going to generic gyms on my own and felt overwhelmed with all the machines. My sister invited me to Burn and it was a life changing experience. There is a trainer that knows your name, 1 on 1 time with the trainer (to discuss personal goals/plans) , positive environment (endless high fives and encouragement), free childcare, and different activities throughout the year to keep you accountable, engaged and motivated! Burn helps you unlock your body’s potential. Seriously sometimes I look back at what I did in a camp and think “am I secretly an Avenger?!” I had my first baby earlier this year and the support I’ve had during my pregnancy and after has been huge! Burn helps me with my physical, mental, and emotional health. I’m a working momma and there are days when I’m SO exhausted and overwhelmed then walk into Burn, finish a work out and remember that I am capable of doing difficult things. 5 stars isn’t enough to express how amazing this gym is. Come visit us and you’ll see for yourself! 💙

This place is AMAZING. If you are looking to start a fitness journey and don't feel comfortable at most gyms, this place is for you. The trainers, staff, owners, and members are very welcoming and judgment free. Also, if you are already into fitness but want a change, Burn will challenge you as well! Every day is different and challenging. They also provide child watch, so no excuses!!!

This is not your average workout facility! It's at least 10x more amazing than any gym I've ever experienced. The exercises can be modified to fit any fitness level, so don't be intimated! GO!I started at Burn after having two kids and, sadly, letting myself go for YEARS with very little physical activity (except chasing a kid around here and there). The Burn community continued to motivate and inspire me to reach new goals and strengthen my body and mind. Plus, they have child watch, so I get 45 minutes to better myself and, some days, hang on to my string of sanity. ? And, I hate to sound too touchy feely, but I also found a wonderful mom tribe here. ❤️

The community they have built is amazing, and I felt welcome from the beginning. I also love their free childcare, making the studio a nice little getaway for moms! Thank you for having me while I was in town.

Burn is one of those rare gyms that welcomes everyone at every level. They motivate, encourage, support and make you feel success regardless of your level. They provide you with alternative levels for each exercise. Couldn’t ask for a better environment!Pay them for a great workout or pay your Dr. For a band-aide??
