Love this place they know what they are doing. Very friendly staff. Only down side is how crowded it can feel when they are busy.

I have been to this shop a few tines since moving to Eugene in 2020. It is close to my house, offers a wide variety of services (and beverages including beer & wine), and has many technicians so appointments are always available. And I have always come away very satisfied... until now. About a month ago I had a pedicure. Sadly, I also had an ingrown toenail so the service was extremely painful. Regardless, I paid for the service and provided the technician a generous tip seeing how hard she worked.Unfortunately, I also developed an EXTREMELY painful infection in both big toes which then led to a fungus in both big toenails.I called the shop to share the situation stating that I did not want to raise a fuss... I just wanted them to be informed. The manager/owner was not available but I was assured he would call me back. 5 days passed and no call and in the meantime, I needed to see a specialist about my toes.I was out of pocket $55 for the pedicure, $100 co-pay for the specialist and $60 for the medication to treat the fungus and secondary infection plus,I needed a follow up appointment with the specialist with another $100 co-pay. AND MY TOES STILL HURT! The doctor told me it would take 4-6 MONTHS for the fungus to clear and the nail to grow back. After seeing the specialist I decided to go back to the shop and speak to the manager/owner in person. The result was much less than satisfying. He started right off blaming me for not calling him back. When I firmly said he was mistaken he argued with me before realizing his error. Then he set out to inform me that they are not licensed to treat ingrown toenails so I was at fault. At no time did I feel listened to or heard. He said all he could do was give me a free pedicure. I walked out with a free MANICURE and beverage which I have absolutely no intention of redeeming. I am paying $300 for this current situation.I absolutely realize a fungus or infection can occur at ANY nail salon. I was not looking for a windfall or payout. I just wanted to feel heard and acknowledged by the shop. Honestly, it feels like they literally did the LEAST they could to resolve the situation.

Decent enough place. Buuuuuut…..I don’t feel like an apprenticed customer. Had mani/pedi. 2 hr appt, gal was very precise. But unfortunately for her the receptionist booked her with another client (while she wasn’t close to finishing mine) she must’ve felt rushed bc I didn’t get hand massage. $82 before tip. No special extras.Since I got no hand massage I had to give less of a tip. I let the receptionist know and she offered to bring bk my tech for the massage but I declined as she was already onto her next client. I feel like the receptionist intentionally told my technician her next client was waiting, to make her hurry. As a SAHM who never goes out to pamper herself, instead of leaving happy, I left kinda ticked off.Sadly it’s not the first time. I agree with Yelps 3.5 rating.

I typically have good experiences here, but I had a situation recently that I wish was handled better. I live out of town, and traveled to get a gel manicure. I knew I had two upcoming events and a gel manicure should sustain for both; gel should last 2-3 weeks. Within 4 days the gel began to lift near the cuticle on ALL of my nails. It started to chip off from the bottom while just washing my hands. I understand mistakes happen, and I called to let them know a product must not have been adhering properly. I inquired on how the issue may be remediated and they offered to fix it the same day, but apparently only that day. I let them know I did not live in town but was disappointed, I was hoping maybe they’d offer me a gift certificate for the inconvenience since I couldn’t make it in that week. Instead they said “oh. Sorry, thanks for letting us know, bye.” It was very disappointing and a waste of almost $50.Services: Manicure

My mom and I enjoy coming here for pedicures together, and we both just had the best time with Aimee (spelling?) and Silvana. Both of us have foot problems that require some particular gentleness and they both did wonderfully at accommodating. Having a painless pedicure is hard for me and Silvana made it seem easy.

Five. Stars to our pedicurist Daniel who is amazing. I’m not sure who did my manicure, but she had a bit of an attitude (in a hurry and acted as if my manicure was an inconvenience to her) she left a couple of bubbles on 2 nails that I only noticed after I left and their shop was closed. Overall though this is my go to place, the salon is very modern and pleasant. They have a small bar where you can order a mimosa or sparkling water. The staff is very friendly.

If I could give a zero rating for this place, I would. My service was extremely rushed. The tech was rude, unsanitary and incompetent. She filed off the previous gel polish instead of soaking it. Filing off gel is extremely bad for the nail bed, and that's not something to cut corners with. It was painful. The worst pedicure I have ever had.Service: Pedicure

I booked an appointment well in advance for a kids manicure and a pedicure for myself for 12:00. We arrived 5 minutes early and were sat down at 12 at the manicure station to get my daughters manicure going. We waited for 25 minutes just sitting there before anyone was able to start or even give us the gel colors to look at. This is an absurdly long time to wait for a service that I had an appointment for. When I got my pedicure I had to wait a few minutes even longer. I asked for white gel pedicure, which is very simple. My tech set the curing light so it hit my big toe TWICE on each foot. I had another appointment somewhere else at 1:30 which would’ve been more than enough time but with the 25+ minute wait I couldn’t enjoy my appointment at all and had to tell my tech I really needed to go as she was redoing my toe yet again. She did not seem experienced and it was very frustrating to me. It was obvious she was struggling just to do plain gel polish.I am very upset I spent $84 and had an appointment and did not get what I was call good service or experience.I do want to shout out Kate at the front for being very nice, she was the only good part of the experience. The lady who did my daughters nails did well too but the wait was unacceptable.I tried writing an email to resolve this issue and received 0 response.Services: Kids' manicures

I wouldn’t recommend nails here. We paid $85 for one set and $75 for the other. One of them messed up several times and had to start over and filed so far into the cuticle it’s still bleeding in a couple spots. The other girl was filing so hard that she popped one of the nails off and picked it up and glued it back on. Also left very red and sore cuticles. Just very messy with the filing. Should not leave with throbbing fingers and bandaids? Pedicures weren’t bad. One of the ladies Charlene I believe her name was very very good! The other one seems to be in a rush and it was hard to feel relaxed or enjoy. I hate leaving bad reviews but I wanted this experience to be good for the girls and it just wasn’t. Super bummed. Staff did seem friendly though??♀️Services: Acrylic nails

I love coming here, the owner is fun and involved with the business and I feel that's really important! He creates relationships with his clients and even hugs them when they leave. The receptionists are really great, they make sure you're all set before you sit down. And the nail techs are highly skilled and very nice! I've been coming here for a few years and I'll keep coming back!

The atmosphere is busy but not too loud. They get booked up quick so while they say walk-ins welcome, it's best to call ahead and schedule an appointment. The people are friendly and they are good at what they do. They offer drink while you wait and you can order drinks while you get your nails done. My only constructive feedback is that my experience could've been better had my order choice not been disparaged. Why even have a regular acrylic nail set on the menu if when ordered you are going to assume we meant gel and try to say the price is $65 when an acrylic set starts at $45? For a manicure with regular polish they really tried to "warn" me what an awful choice it is without even knowing me or my frame of reference. "It smudges, takes forever to dry, only lasts 2-4 days. We don't do fixes." Why even have it on the menu if you aren't going to support my order choice? For two people who rarely get their nails done, and it was meant to be a way to treat ourselves in the moment and make ourselves feel good, I did not feel good about my order and it was directly related to the comments and upselling of the nail techs. That said, our nails came out great. There was no pain involved and they made sure we liked their work before we paid.Services: Manicure

I want to give Emma a huge shout out. Me and my girlfriend came in for manicures for her engagement photos this weekend. We came with a huge task of finding the perfect nude/pale pink color but not too beige and not too pink. Emma took the time to go over all their colors with us to try and help with finding the right one. We ended up picking one but when the nail polish came to the table it was a little more pink than the sample. Emma asked if we needed help and I asked if she would be able to find that same tone but a little less pink. Bless this lady’s soul she came back with 6+ colors and we found the one with her help. She was simply amazing and I highly recommend City Nails just because of this interaction with her!Services: Manicure

Billy is amazing!! I don't go to anyone else. After many bad experiences at other salons I have found a place that I can trust. The staff and owner are amazing and myself and mother in law love going there. I take my daughter there when she wants a manicure al

Do NOT recommend!! I have a bad back, making it difficult to cut my own toe nails. I came here for my first ever pedicure and the tech left gnarly corners on my big toe nails, leading to painful ingrown nails. So, I ended up having to fix those nails myself, hurting my back in the process. Definitely do not go here.

I don't understand why this place is rated so highly. My service was extremely rushed. They filed off the previous gel polish instead of soaking and when I asked about it she said "that takes too long". Filing off gel is extremely bad for the nail bed, and that's not something you should cut corners with. That would be like going to get a haircut and they just cut off your pony tail and say "sorry I'm short on time today". Also the new gel started popping off the next day, like the entire nail. So now it needs redone only 2 days later. Also she didn't do any scrubbing or callous removal, so what did I even pay $50 for? This is the second salon in Eugene/Springfield I've been to like this and I can't help but think maybe they're owned by the same people. If you are someone who cares about the health of your nails, I would pass on this place.
