Delta Ponds is a picturesque walking trail loop located in Eugene, Oregon, known for its tranquil scenery and diverse wildlife. Visitors can enjoy shaded pathways, making it a perfect spot for leisurely walks and nature photography. The area is home to turtles, herons, ducks, and geese, providing great opportunities for wildlife enthusiasts. Families will find it a convenient location for taking kids on nature walks, with several viewpoints for admiring the beautiful surroundings. While the trails are rustic and not fully developed, they offer a unique charm. However, some visitors have noted the presence of glyphosate and the proximity to a busy road, which may detract from the experience. There are two parking lots available, but facilities are limited, with no bathrooms at the main trailhead and only one trashcan at the north end. Despite these minor inconveniences, Delta Ponds remains a favorite retreat for locals and visitors alike, especially for those seeking a peaceful escape close to shopping areas.
Great spot for birdwatching and take a nice long walk .

I love delta ponds, but a little rustic and not reallu done that well, they used glyphosphate (roundup) recently everywhere... and also next to a busy road... but still many good wildlife features and a nice naturistic shady walk. I've enjoyed it with many friends :)
