The only concern l had is that the tow truck driver did not know how to jump start a Prius, which is a common vehicle.

SCUMBAGS. READ REVIEWS UNDER APARTMENT AND PARKING.
Predators. Another student broke.
My daughter ( senior honor student with UO) calls me crying. Her car is gone from her paid, permitted, private lot. She can't take her dying cat to the vet because her car has been stolen. Less then a week ago she married her highschool sweetheart, he's already back on base because he joined the US Air Force. Beautiful American love story. These kids are broke and struggling we all know it. The tow company don't care about them or their cat and apparently not about America either ,when I tried to explain that this was an obvious mistake. They want cash. They're trolling for cash. They use these kids as cash cows. They made her use her wedding cash to get it out of impound. 109$ is US average tow for under 5 miles. Emerald valley towing = 280$. Impound storage fee $80. It was parked out on the US street! The car was s'towed at 1147 picked up 447. (Cat had to be at vet before 5) Pretty good 5 hours made off our children's hopes and dreams. If you're with the University or a veteran or in the services or have children or love America don't do business with these scoundrels. I pray that they reap what they have sown. Karma is watching. I'll be contacting all the appropriate authorities, refuse to be treated this way.

Extremely unprofessional and verbally aggressive. I believe all the staff should get professional and basic customer service classes. You don't just yell at people over doing something "wrong" versus explaining that there is a specific policy and procedure for towing vehicles. Yuck! Would give zero stars if I could.

He was a very nice man who took us about 44 miles. He did good job loading, but unloading, he set the gear and may not have taken it out because upon reversing we heard something break and a tinkling noise in the gear box and now may need a new gear box -- we are not sure, yet, because the car's gas pump failed (the reason we were originally towed).

I had an extremely disappointing experience with this company. They towed my car from my apartment complex at 1:30 am, supposedly due to not having a parking permit, which I couldn’t obtain because the apartment office was closed at that hour. It felt like the timing was strategic, as they could add extra fees due to it being an “overnight tow,” totaling around $200. When I went to retrieve my car, I was told they only accept cash, which raises serious questions about their business practices and whether they are reporting these profits accurately.
It’s clear to me this company is taking advantage of residents in situations where they can’t avoid towing. I’ve reported them to the FTC, CFPB, and BBB. I would urge everyone to exercise caution and avoid doing business with them if possible.

Got my car towed by these people over a year ago and I’m still mad about it. Incredibly unprofessional communication. I called and asked when they are open and they failed to inform me I needed an appointment so when I showed up no one was at the office. I called again and made an appointment for a half an hour from the current time and waited outside since I did not have my car. The man was an hour late. While speaking with this man he was on the phone with an ear piece in the entire time and seemed confused about which car was mine (there was one of the same model but different color, year and different state plate) despite me clearly describing my car. The total cost was $300 more than they had quoted to me and needed to be all in cash so retrieving this extra several hundred dollars took much longer because I did not have a car. While I was waiting the hour for the tow guy, I chatted with three others who’s cars had been towed and had similar terrible experiences. Absolutely appalling prices ($45 for gas for the tow truck per tow), communication and customer service.

Predatory towing practices and violations of several Oregon towing laws.
They were contracted by Oregon County Fair to tow, but towed at least a hundred people with paid overnight parking passes who were - TOLD by OCF staff - to park in the lot in question when asked where to park overnight with that specific parking pass.
Did not provide a picture of the vehicle to prove it was illegally parked and there were no signs visible at the entrance that clarified that overnight parking was not allowed. In fact the first several rows where myself and others were instructed to park had NO signs visible whatsoever from the first few rows. And no signs clarified that overnight parking was not allowed even with an overnight pass. I had to wait over an hour with my people getting heat sickness in the 95 degree heat while I waited for staff to even identify where I should go. This happened to multiple other people who received the same misleading information from OCF parking staff and were subsequently towed and fined in a clearly predatory manner to make money. If you don’t want people parking somewhere, be clear, have visible signs and don’t give people the WRONG information when they tell you they have never parked overnight before with a pass and ask you where to go. They were so reassuring and said “don’t worry they will park you” after asking several staff where overnight pass parking was located. I have two other people that were in the vehicle that can corroborate the misleading information I was given.
No phone number was available to call either on the signs, or who is the towing company, as is required by Oregon law. When we finally tracked the car down I was threatened that I would have to pay $300 to get it back and after talking to the parking supervisor at OCF extensively they seemingly reduced the fine to $100 for me and another person in the same situation. But the towing company refused to waive the $100 fee. I will be pursuing a full refund.
The employee who appears to be the owner was aggressive and threatening to call the cops on me if I didn’t pay. No one would take responsibility for the predatory scam and misinformation between OCF and emerald towing. I did everything I could to park correctly but had to shell out $100 to get my vehicle back from the back of an open field “impound”. They didn’t get my signature or VIN# or the color of my car correct so I have yet to see evidence that I was parked illegally. Plus you can only be parked illegally if you don’t have permission from the property owner, which I had in having a paid pass and being told to park in the lot in question when asked directly where to park for camping with that pass.
In looking at the other reviews, I encourage anyone who was harmed by predatory or misleading towing practices to submit a review, an BBB complaint for the company, or to seek legal counsel.
