Eugene Public Library - Downtown is a vibrant community hub that offers much more than just books. It provides a beautiful, accessible space with study rooms, comfortable chairs, and numerous computer stations, making it a great place to read, study, or relax. The library has a large selection of materials for all ages, from baby books to graphic novels for children, as well as a separate area for teenagers. Its children's section is especially wonderful, featuring activities like pretend play, building, coloring, and sensory tools to create an inclusive environment for all children. The library also offers a variety of story times and programs that are highly praised. Beyond books, visitors can enjoy the Library of Things, which includes games, tools, and technology available for check-out. The staff is friendly, helpful, and committed to creating a welcoming atmosphere. The library's location next to a parking garage and bus station makes it easily accessible. It is known for its kindness, inclusivity, and LGBTQIA-friendly environment, making it a beloved resource for the community. Overall, Eugene Public Library - Downtown is an essential and welcoming place that fosters learning, community, and inclusivity.

This place is amazing. Don't go in if you're limited on time.

When I moved to Eugene, I found myself at home here thanks to the good people who work, plus the availability of all library services. In 2025 times are sometimes tough, but this is a great place and right by the bus station.
