Do Not Rent an EV car!!!!! They are the absolute worst!!!! They do not charge and you can not drive more than 80 miles a day!!!!!!!!!!!! Something that was not shared with me at the time of booking!!!!!!

They will rent you a dangerous car. The guy in front of me exchanged his car because he felt unsafe in what they gave him. I took mine because everything looked okay, but I've spent the entire rental period calling in about existing damage that was hidden by their service dept and non functional equipment. The icing on the cake came when I couldn't change the dull wiper blades because the car wouldn't let the wipers rest in the correct position (a terrible design flaw of Sonatas, but that's a Hyundai complaint).Then, rather than letting me exchange the car in the large town that I'm in that definitely has stock available, the company said they'd have to drive a car from my pickup/drop off location in Eugene. Just terrible. Avoid these scammers and stay safe out there.UPDATE TO THEIR RESPONSE: given that multiple reviews have shared the same issues that I've experienced, I think their response is disingenuous. They only responded to mine because I'm pointing out that their negligence is becoming dangerous. Avoid this company.UPDATE AFTER RETURN: They refused to reimburse me at the counter (as promised) for purchasing wind shield wiper blades to replace their defective ones. Instead, they said they'd put in a request. Unacceptable. I offered to take the blades back since they are mine with writen confirmation that they would not charge me for missing equipment. They agreed to let me take the blades back but initially refused to provide written confirmation. They finally offered written confirmation once I finally reached someone on their corporate call center. Truly, this is a a terrible business. Eugene Municipal Airport should revoke their lease lest they are complicit with defrauding customers.

Company should be ashamed. They do not allow you to talk to a human being. If you ask to be sent to a local agents it’ll ring for 4 minutes and then hang up on you, over and over. Insane a rental car company is online only at an airport. This is not the time or place to be a scumbag company trying to cut costs. When people are traveling they are high stressed. Don’t add to it. I just wanted to extend my rental. Now I’m going to bad mouth hertz to any and everyone I can. This is some scummy stuff. Will use any other company from now on.

One of the worst rental experiences of my life! Avoid at all costs! I needed a rental because my car had to have some work done, as it was unexpected I had to make a same day reservation. I tried to call the Hertz office, but the phone tree would tell me to book on the website and then hang up on me. There is NO option to talk to a person. My reservation was for 2pm, and when I arrived at the counter at 2 I was told no car would be available till 3pm. There was ZERO concern or empathy and a completely dismissive attitude from the person at the counter. It was obvious that they wouldn't lift a finger to help at all. So I sat in the airport for an hour and waited for a car that was parked in the lot, yes I walked out and checked at 2:05pm, and drove off at 3:10 pm. Before I walked away I confirmed that I didn't have to return till 3pm. I returned the car to the lot at 3:10 the next day, and was charged an additional $42 for an extra hour, because the person at the counter didn't change the time on my reservation. I used to be a Hertz Gold member when I did a lot of business travel, before Covid, but I will NEVER use them again and I will be recommending to my company travel department that we remove them as a vendor.

This is for the west 11th location…they don’t have a way to review them via Google. I paid in advance for a car rental. I was called the morning of the reservation and was told there would be a delay and instead of a 12:30 pickup time, we wouldn’t be able to pick it up until 1 or 1:30 and they’d call me. I didn’t get a call so I went there at 1:45 thinking they were renting out cars and I wanted to help get my reservation prioritized since we had to be clear across the state by 9pm. They told me they had no cars and didn’t know when or if they would get any cars. What the heck?! I then had to use my own car which had bad tires so I had to scramble and get new tires and get my engine fluids all checked so it was safe for travel. This put us several hours behind schedule and put us in rush hour traffic from Albany to the other side of Portland. This was supposed to be a fun trip for my daughter’s college graduation and instead of getting to LaGrande by 7 so we could find somewhere to have a nice dinner, we didn’t get there until 11 and had to eat fast food along the way. It was a stressful drive and put a damper on our trip. I will never use Hertz ever again.

My flight arrived early and it took almost no time to get my bags, so I ended up at the rental counter about an hour early and was still able to get my car. I hadn't rented a car before and had several questions and the lady who helped me was very patient and friendly. The location in the airport was great and I was shocked at how close the car was to the airport exit. It was a super fast and easy experience.

I had a mixed experience at Hertz Eugene OR. The good thing was the office was inside the airport, east to identify and reach. The staff was quite friendly. And it hardly took anytime to get the car and it was parked in the 1st row to the left as you walk out. However, the car had a few issue, the charging port was shaky, it was not a stable connection. Car also had 2 alarms. One for tire pressures which turned out to be wrong and second was to change of battery engine oil. I guess this should have been checked before allotting the car

Absolutely the worst!!!!!!! We had to bring in our original rental to exchange here since once we left our original location the car had so many warnings going off and we did not feel the car was safe to drive . Oregon location first of all told us over the phone it would be an easy exchange it was not we were there for almost an hour . The guy at the counter 1. Cancelled our original booking 2. Rebooked and merged 2 separate reservations so it made our car rental for 10 days . 3. We saw the mistake on the receipt then claimed he couldn't fix it and we had to call customer service 4. Made us create a new reservation.5. We went through 3 cars before giving up they were all dirty 6. 1 car had left over fast food bag on the back set, 2nd car the dashboard was sticky as if some spilled a soda all over it . 3rd had left over room key & water bottles in the back . 7. Charged us $147.32 for fuel for full tank even after the "manager" claimed they would waive it as the reservation had an interruption, original car was brought back with half of tank so even if we did have to pay for fuel at most $60 -70. We've had hertz for years and have the president's circle and when I tell you they don't give a living s*** about it they don't. We've never had this many issues with other companies cars and going forward hertz will be the absolute last rental we'll look at.

Crooks! Although i returned the rental with a full tank is gas, they still charged my for a full tank of gas. Never again! Hurts in Tigard Oregon.

By far the quickest, most effortless car rental experience. I showed her my ID and she handed me the receipt with a key and the stall number, along with directions to walk the 100 feet out of the terminal and to the car. It was a beautiful Honda Accord with no scratches nor any weird smells. You don't even have to go through a rental car gate on the way out!

Great service, didn't have to wait an hour in line like at the Avis Budget counter and Enterprise, lines were horrible, Hertz car was clean and ready right outside the terminal. Will definitely use Hertz next time I need a car at the Eugene Airport.

Lazy employees. Gave me the car on almost empty (2 bars) and didn't explain anything to me about the car. They didn't tell me that they were giving me a hybrid or explain how to start it. Just sent me out into the rain to find it and fend for myself. lol! I returned the car a day early and she wouldn't give me a receipt on the spot to reflect that. My family members have had good luck with Hertz, so I think the problem is with this particular location.

This is a review from over 10 years ago. We got a car from them in October 2009 and it was nice. We rented car seats for our kids and they were clean and wrapped in plastic, which was nice.

Racial profiling to the highest degree! Very disappointing for a company that presents itself as being professional. Very rude agent at the counter refused to honor my reservation when I presented my Visa debit card. Instead of a "credit card to pay for my 10 day reservation. Just his condescending attitude was enough to make me change my mind about Hertz! Enterprise has always accepted Visa debit as payment and has never showed such a stuffy condescending attitude. I guess it is true, you get what you pay for! I may have looked like a poor hispan
