Accused me of stealing for grabbing a wallet out of my purse. A worker demanded I remove the contents of my bag into a shopping basket. When I told them I did not have anything in the bag, they said they saw me put things into my bag. I showed the worker that I reached in to grab my credit card out of my wallet and then placed my wallet back in-- NOT stealing anything in the process. I did not receive an apology from this worker and find this treatment of customers to be incredibly rude and unprofessional.

do you always have your employees following customers around the store? weren't even there for more than 10 minutes because we felt so rushed by TWO employees following us not even 5 feet away throughout the entire store. probably would've purchased more if not for the obvious assumption that we were there to steal. also insanely messy and the prices are crazy marked up.

I get followed around and profiled by the short woman with fried bleach blonde hair every time I shop here which is unfortunate since this store is so close to where I live and it’s where I get most of my household shopping done. I don’t appreciate being made to feel like a criminal every time I need to buy toilet paper and trash bags.

Got followed around by loss prevention and got banned from the store for asking why she was following me

Staff was very friendly and helpful! There’s lots of knickknacks and tchotchkes and random things to buy so there’s plenty to look at and purchase if you need something other than typical drug store items. It’s a little overwhelming and chaotically organized, but nothing too wacky.

Apparently telling a young African-American clerk that her voice reminds me of Halle Berry and asking if she had ever considered acting is harassment. This was my only offense for being banned by Steve Hirons from ever patronizing either store.

Stay away from this establishment! When I was a physician practicing in Eugene in the early 80s, Larry Hirons MD used to refer patients to me. Several weeks ago I met the owner John Hirons and we had a pkeasant conversation.. But apparently my respectfully complementing an African-American clerk constitutes harassment. John's foolish son, Steve Hirons, has banned me from the stores because of that. he has chosen to believe his snot nosed employs young enough to be my grandchildren rather than a respected, retired medical doctor‼I'm reporting this not to get even with him but because I do not want other customers to be treated as shabbily I have been.

I bought University of Oregon souvenirs, a Jelly Cat plush, and a cute rabbit plush for gifts. The store is within walking distance of the University of Oregon and the Holiday Inn hotel.

I love Hiron's as a store, but the pharmacy is just the worst. My doctor called in a prescription for iron supplements. Apparently, the Franklin location staff (and they told me this directly) does not fill any prescription automatically, because "too many college kids just never pick them up." I confirm that yes, I would like the Rx. I also ask about when i should come in, since I'm pregnant and my doctor said to start this medication asap. The pharmacist says that I am in their automatic texting system, will hear from them that afternoon. Two days pass, nothing. I call them. Insurance won't cover the Rx, they recommend an over the counter version which they claim is the same, since they're closed over the weekend. I come in, and the over the counter version is 30mg, not 300mg as prescribed by the doctor. So I call again on Monday, explain the situation. They say they can fill the prescription, I'll pay out of pocket, they'll send a text when it's ready. Text never arrives. I call again, the pharmacist says it's ready, come on in. I come in, and it's not ready. They are now re-promising the exact same stuff as before. I love Hiron's so much - the staff in the rest of the store is amazing! So nice, and they really know their stuff. Its bizarre how different the pharmacy and the pharmacy staff are - it's like a completely different store. You can actually check this out for yourself, in the overall pattern across the Yelp reviews: over and over, you see 5 stars for reviews for the store itself. But everyone who had to deal with the pharmacy rated it a 1. Anyway, I had to call Women's Care and have my doctor switch all future prescriptions to a different pharmacy. Tellingly, the nurse asked "was this the Hiron's on Franklin? You're the third person this week who hasn't been able to get their prescription filled there" before I mentioned the place. Hope that sharing this experience saves someone else from a tough situation. I'm seven months pregnant, and not being able to get the medication prescribed by doctor borders on scary. Use a different pharmacy.

The Disneyland of retail stores! It is always my 1st stop when arriving in Eugene to visit my Duck! Now that my wife and I live here year round, I must frequent either of their stores 1 time a week. Staff is very friendly and helpful! It goes without saying, the "best" selection of U of O gear anywhere in Oregon!SCO DUCKS and SCO Hirons!!!!!

I hated to write this review but the times have changed, Apparently, 1 "new/or temp" male Tech and 1-"new/ or temp" female pharmacist have decided to sabotage their new employer. It's convinced me to move on. A very rare locally owned drug store can't stay in business much longer hiring arrogant types like these 2. What do we really have now? Walgreens, CVS Safeway, Rite Aid, and whatever. I give up I'm never going back to Hirons. If I have to be abused, I'd rather have it come from non-local abusers. What a shame but it had to happen someday. Makes me sort of sad but they're letting it happen to themselves. So be it.

Walking into the store was a bit overwhelming. It's an overstimulating environment. Once I found the pharmacy in the back, it was all worth it. These people are so kind, competent, and fast. I'll never go to Sav-on again. I love this pharmacy.

So much fun stuff to choose from. I always stay longer than I intend to. Not a store for the claustrophobic. The aisles are very narrow and there's STUFF everywhere you turn.
