I’ve been blown off for over a year being owned a decent amount of money, I’ve been told the “it’s going to be resolved in 60 days” about five times now. Just got hung up on again today and I’m very disgusted with how this branch of the government handles themselves. If you don’t have the resources to process the peoples taxes, then you shouldn’t be handling them. Time to pull your heads from the dirt and realize that this is not how you treat the citizens of your country.

If your calling the united states irs, there is no reason why a person who barely speaks broken English is answering the phone.That's ridiculous to spend 20 min trying to understand anything that's being said.

I was dreading having to go in today when my underage son had to verify his identity. We had such a great experience. The lady was helpful and used the opportunity to try to educate my kids about taxes and make the experience almost fun...for a cubical in IRS, not bad. Timely and no hassles.

Phone number totally useless. The automated prompts had nothing close to what i needed, so chose FAQ. Another dead end. I have just ONE question to ask ONE human. I was on hold over 2.5 hours yesterday. For such an important gov. office, why cant i talk to a representative?

I have spent 46 hours 37 minutes 28 seconds trying to contact someone about my TAX RETURN. I have been hung up on 4 times. There is NO ONE available to answer questions or help. If I owed IRS $$ they would get it immediately. It's been 26 weeks what the actual hell?? 26 weeks and you can't answer the phone ONCE!?! Ashamed to be an American. Just disgusted.

I haven't got my third stimulus you guys put it in my ex-husband's checking account I've been waiting for 5 months I've sent numerous messages and every time I call the IRS I get hung up on nobody answers the phone nobody's taking care of nothing it's very frustrating when nothing can get done I have to send letters and I recently got a letter from the IRS saying you need another 60 days well I need my third stimulus I don't understand why you didn't put it on my SSI card.

Worst "assistance center" I've ever come across. Everytime you call to set up an appointment the line is busy, tells you to call back, and then hangs up. I went into the building and you get stopped by guards telling you have to call the number. The number where they never pick up! The idea the IRS can demand your hard earned money to then turn around and treat us like this is criminal!

My individual situation/dilemma cannot be resolved in the online website. The IRS does not recognize my phone number so I'm not able to sign-in. They do not have my correct address and do not acknowledge the receipt of my 2019 tax forms even though they were sent in before the deadline. I have not been successful in obtaining a Transcript necessary for a lender on my home loan. Deadline is approaching. What am I to do? Local office is not open and the online system won't recognize me? No wonder IRS is a dirty name to most citizens.

If you ever need to get into contact with the Oregon IRS but work too much to go in person and can't seem to get somebody on the phone, register an account at revenueonline.dor.oregon.gov and you can chat with them online. They are very quick at responding and extremely helpful and it has helped me soooo much since I work during their business hours!
