KeyBank on Coburg Road is FANTASTIC! The team there are fabulous and always make me feel welcomed and help with any problems I may have!

I've been with KeyBank for 6 or more years now, it was great in the begining, very friendly people, always help, reliable banking experiences and so on. When my son was still a minor we opened a shared account meant specifically for him and all was well, we went in back in early December 2023 to close that account and open his own account that my name wasn't on because he is now an adult. That is when everything just kept getting worse.
My son was told his old debit card would transfer for use to the new account he created and could be used no problem, that was wrong, he went to use it to buy some food a couple days later and was declined, couldn't pull money from the ATM either and had to wait until he could make it to the bank on a day he was out of work early enough to get cash and get a new card ordered.
We were told when trying to close the other account that there was a payment pending so we left the $180 in the account to cover it and were told as soon as it cleared the account would be closed. Nope! Wrong! Two weeks later my son asks them again to close the still open account and is told it would be closed. Nope! I tried to close the account online. Nope!
We went in again together 6 weeks later asking that the account be closed because we do not need it and my son was having more issues with his new savings and checking accounts there at KeyBank. Once again the same lady we got the first time told us there is difficulty closing the account, but that she will get it closed FOR SURE "I promise" on that following Monday and that if there are any charges that come up, just "have your son send you the payment through Zelle", giggle giggle goes Barbie girl.
We Waited until Tuesday of the following week to see if all the issues have been resolved with the old account and my son's new personal adult account. Nope, old account still open, new accounts still having issues, this is 7 weeks after we initially went in. I have the banker telling me I can't cash my check in my personal account even though it is positive and has no issues, old account is still not closed, etc and so on.
I had to get a manager to make it to where I could cash checks in my own account again, my son pulled all of his money out of checking and savings and opened new accounts with a credit union, the only way I was able to get the old account to close a couple weeks ago is because it was made negative and left that way for long enough that they finally did a charge off which I now have to fix, but at least the dang problematic account making it hard for me to use the account I opened long before that one is finally closed.
When I have the ability, I will be closing my account and moving to a credit union. I referred several people to KeyBank years ago, they all started to have similar issues with banking gone bad and have left for other banks or credit unions. It is deeply disappointing that I've had to deal with bankers that give false promises and information, that chuckle and giggle when telling you the "way to fix" an issue that they are not properly taking care of when asked, and have to go to the extreme of tanking an account just to attempt to keep my other account safe from all the random garbage no one could resolve, not managers, not KeyBank phone customer service, not online, and certainly not giggly Barbie look alike. I am so very over KeyBank chaos.

If I could give Key Bank zero stars I would. Random holds on payroll checks claiming reasonable doubt of collectability? I've deposited my weekly payroll checks on my phone for months and months. They've always been good. I called customer service and they can help on the phone. Go into the branch they say. Meanwhile, they cut hours way back durring covid and never returned them. If you can manage to rush in after work, they only have tellers available and they have no authority to change anything. Walmart knows imediately if a check can be collected or not, but it takes Key Bank a week? Seems fishy. If you cannot make it to the branch to talk to the nonexistent manager, you could try calling. Oh wait, the branches aren't allowed to answer the phone. That's right, you cannot call them. Sign up for online banking they say. I did. The app works part of the time. Key bank cut their hours and slashed employees for covid and encouraged everything to be done online, and their technology at their ATM and their online banking is stuck in the dark ages. You cannot even deposit cash for immediate funds in an ATM even though the machine counts it for you and scans every bill. This bank is an absolute disaster. I recommend burying your money in Mason jars and drawing a map to find it before putting YOUR money into a bank that refuses to let you have it. They have done everything they can to make it harder to gain access to your funds. The branch I use on Coburg Rd in Eugene Oregon is about as helpful as a squeegee on the Titanic. Take my advise and use a different bank, unless you are just into fees, holds, antiquated bank tech, rundown branches, inaccessibility, piss poor customer service, high turn over, and frustration.

0 star probably one of the worst bank you can do business with. I drove half an hour on my ONLY day off to close the accounts due to the fact that they have been charging ridiculously amount of transfer fees and they charge $20 every time for even just a little $5 overdrawn even sometimes I have money in the savings. Today they can’t close it because there was pending charges on there even though either way they gonna take the money anyway. They always take forever to update the statement as usual. Since the beginning of this year they have probably charge over $700-$1000 in fees which is crazy! I hope this bank have their day in hell! Nothing about the branch just KeyBank in general! ?iest bank in the country

At work, I always go out of my way to help a customer, even if it is out of the scope of my job. I did not get this experience from this bank. They would not give me access to my own funds because of some arbitrary rule they made up themselves. Requiring me, after spending 20 minutes there, to go to another bank just to access to my account funds. This bank reminded me why I had in the past left both chase and BofA, because rather than going out of their way to assist me, they hide behind their own made up rules. In the future I will not be using this bank to store my money in, in fear they would take advantage of me.

Bank manager is condescending and did not want to help. Even the way she answered the phone was rude. Don't remember her name. However, Nicole was very friendly and willing to help.

Well, one star to the bank for charging me maintenance fee without me knowing that’s been happening for 6 months. But big shoutout to Kyle at Keybank Coburg road branch in Eugene. He called me after I booked an appointment online to figure out what’s going on, figured out the problem and called me back a few days later with solutions. Had everything ready for me to just come and sign the paperwork. Every bank needs someone like him to fix their problems and turn an unhappy customer to a happy one!

We applied to get a line of credit on a house, with a hard deadline months out. They missed the deadline. We did finally get the HELOC. Then I tried to change the address for the account online and could not. I emailed our loan person and she did not respond. I called the branch and they were "unavailable" to answer the phone. Wow!!

Worst experience ever. My debit card took a month arrive after opening my account. They had to order me a new one. They told me once I was not a new member I could have access to my checks with out waiting 24hr some times longer to clear. This was a lie. They put a hold on my account saying there was fraud detected when I deposit my work check. No one could remove the hold from my account so I waited 2weeks for the person to come back from vacation who put the hold on my account to remove it so I could use my bank account. When I asked to close my account I was threatened with I need to wait outside now and they will send me my money by mail in check form. Customer service very poor, Very un professional management. Glad the nightmare is over.

I called because I was overdrawn and wanted to let them know I will be taking car of it . The lady says let me waive some of the overdraft fee's, she dose then 2 days later i have 2 more on there. Because of Covid I have not been able to catch up with my wife not working. My neighbor said his bank waived all his overdraft fee's and helped him out to get back on his feet. I feel like the just did not care

This bank doesn’t care about their customers whatsoever, they are money greedy. They see you struggling and make you struggle even more! When you go to them with a problem they don’t even try to solve it, they just keep telling you what you already know and many times have taken overdraft fees more then once on the same day and won’t refund them.

Worst costumer service ever by banking professionals. No manager on duty on Friday at 1030 am. Clerks have no idea what they are doing. Would never recommend this place to anyone.
