Don't trust this company with your carI had a break flush and valve gasket replaced. First time repair the gasket still leaked. Second attempt it still leaked and my engine started hissing. Even showed the owner. Third time was told my valve cover was cracked (either they missed this during both repairs or cracked it themselves!) well they used another cars valve cover and now it still leaks, loses oil pressure, and cracked my negative battery terminal. They also mentioned in a diagnose my brake fluid needed changed. Something i had already had done a month prior that apparently didn't even happen. The manager said we have to "drop my car". I paid to not only get the problem not fixed but now my car isn't drivable, the shop won't even fix it, refund or anything.Pictures is the wallard out oil fill hole on the damaged valve cover they decided to use causing leaks and others left side front cover with constant leak.Worst mechanics in eugene by far. Buyer beware.

Outstanding service from start to finish. Master head mechanic, Kelly is fantastic. He is a real professional. Top notch. He not only provides superior repairs but supervises other mechanics and runs the front office when needed. Definitely exceeded my expectations.Services: Engine repair

Absolutely unbelievable.

Mac's have servicd my Subaru and Range Rover; my daughter's Wrangler and my wife's Integra for probably a decade. I did have a spell taking the Subaru to the dealership after making a poor choice and committing to a service contract (which cost me about $300 for an oil change!) but it's back to Mac's who've always given me excellent service at fair prices and speedily.Just go there.

Amazing customer service. Very knowledgeable crew. The last three times I have been in I had very serious issues with my van. Every time they were done way before they projected, the cost was never more than projected, and in one case they saved me a several hundred dollars. My biggest fears are I take my van to a place that will do work that is not necessary, I get overcharged, and the work is shoddy.....These guys have proven themselves. I highly recommend them.

Do not waste your time and moneyTook my vehicle in since the air conditioner wasn't blowing Cold air which I expressed to the owner. My understanding is that they needed to inspect and find the issue ? Apparently they didn't and assume all it needed was Freon. They added the AC Freon and charged me over $200. Bucks Took my vehicle home ran my AC - nothing air wasn't blowing cold ... called the shop I was told to take the truck back in again. So now they are telling me that it might need a new AC compressor. ( why not inspect and see what was the issue was before assuming all it needed Freon.) I asked if they would refund my money since they didn't fix the issue. & they said no since they had clean it and added the Freon. Got my AC fixed at A different shop.

Edit: Eugene locationBrought in a radiator for a pressure test, I already knew it was leaking, assuming I would be shown where it was leaking from. Was told it would be $40 when dropping it off; however upon picking it up the guy in the front tried charging me $60 and took him two trips to find my radiator. I told him I was quoted $40 and he said the least he could do was $40.60. Upon the radiator being brought to the counter I asked where it was leaking from. There were no markings on it, nor were there any notes. Guy told me he didn’t know and that the technician had already left for the day, this was maybe 1-2pm at the latest, and wouldn’t be back until the following Tuesday. Internally I decide it is what it is grabbed the radiator and left. Went to the local brew station grabbed stoppers to plug the inlet and outlet and the fill port. Was able to pressure test on my own for $11 since I had a bicycle pump and ball needle already, and was able to mark where the radiator was leaking from. About a week later I call back asking if they would be able to replace the core in the radiator and was told yes, but it’s expensive. I semi chuckle and say it can’t be any worse than a brand new radiator. Get asked how much they are so I say $500. Dude tells me to buy a new one and that they would charge $1500 - $2000 for the core replacement. I’m sorry but this screams we don’t want to work on your stuff or we really don’t know how to weld aluminum. I’ve heard great things about Mac’s in Portland, but from this point on I wouldn’t even go here for an air check on my tires.Oh and upon receiving the radiator oil had been spilled all down both sides of the core.

Mac's is a family business. Super professional, prices definitely comparable. I was treated as a valued party, not just another service. I will definitely be coming back here for future services!

The person who waited on us was not friendly (very curt and terse). He took our brass and copper radiator and held it for over two weeks then told us it would cost $1800 or more to repair it. I had a similar experience with the Bend, Oregon branch with another copper and brass radiator I took to them. I believe Mac’s Radiator has lost its ability to work on legacy radiators and can only install new radiators and perform cooling system flush service. The customer interaction is not a happy or pleasant experience.

Got a Groupon for 4 oil changes, because I've been too busy to do it myself.Made appts quite a few days in advance, yet every single time, he waited till I was in the shop to order the filters. Each time, took at least an hour for them to get delivered. I can do an oil change in less than an hour, including the time it takes going to buy the filters. The last time I was there, he claimed the thermostat and water pump were in dire need of replacement, said it'd be over $700 and about 4 hrs of labor to replace them.I bought a new thermostat and pump (less than $60 total), and replaced them myself in under 2 hrs. The parts I removed are in excellent condition, not even remotely close to the end of their lifespan. Had several other mechanics look at em just to make sure I wasn't crazy. He talked about urgency and massive engine failure, if the repairs weren't done very soon. Obvious scare tactics, and absolute dishonesty. This guys shop is dirty and nasty, funkiest bare bones office/waiting room I've ever seen. I still have one oil change Groupon, but no way I will ever go there again.Avoid at all costs, do not trust him. Makes a living preying upon people he assumes don't know about cars. Witnessed other dissatisfied during the long waits to get oil changed. Looks like he's struggling to stay in business, and it's more than apparent why.Don't go to Macs.Service: Oil change

My wife and I have a 1988 Chevy 1500 Scottsdale pickup that has sentimental value to us and NOBODY in town, but Mac's would help us fix it. They understand customer's and do their best to help them. The crew that I met is very nice and helpful. They go above and beyond. Highly recommended.

Mac's and Jason are basically my car gods. We found ourselves in a difficult situation with our car broke down in a highly congested area. Jason quickly got a tow truck there, did a diagnostics and had a plan within the hour. In addition to being clear what the problem was, they had a rapid fix and eased our stress. During the entire situation I was confident Jason and Mac's had our back, primarily because I was out of town and the situation was being managed by my kid, who was moving back to school -- his willingness to keep me update with many phone calls was immeasurable. You can imagine the stress not being there. He also put my son to ease, his first experience with a car breaking down. Thank you Jason and team.

Best experience every. Jason was quick to respond, very clear about what the issues and had a path to fix. But most off all he went above what was every expected. Would I recommend Mac Radiator... hell yes! My college son was dealing with this in my absence and Jason did not miss a beat. I am very grateful to him and his team.
