Host and server were both very friendly. Fun. First time in to Nelson's. A good time. Food was good.Parking: Pay lot across the street. Might have to park away and walk in, unless you get lucky.

The place was clean and the staff was friendly but the food was lousy. I had a shrimp burrito. It was full of cold lettuce, tomatoes and cilantro with only a few small shrimp and some rice. All I could taste was the cilantro. Mu friend ordered the tacos which were three very small soggy samplers, more like appetizers.

Hella busy a crowded front entrance but hip new digs after the last place they had across the street. Great service even tho it was packed on a Friday night. Burrito was huge for about 10 bucks and tasty too. Chips and salsa for $6, honey? No ma'am - you know I'll be asking for three more refills which they were happy to do. Outside area had a heater and was like being on a covered deck in someone's backyard. Owner is an absolute gem.

Nelson has been a staple of this community. One of the kindest people around the Whitaker and provides us with an affordable dining experience with great food.

I have heard nothing but good things about Nelson's, but I haven't been able to make it until last night. We ordered the taquittos, which were fried perfectly, smothered in guacamole without all the chunks I usually pass on guacamole over, and we're absolutely delicious.I also ordered a blood orange cadillac margarita, which was salty, sweet, and absolutely spectacular. My husband ordered a Paloma and said it was one of the best he's had.We then ordered a special Carne Asada Burrito smothered in enchilada sauce. My husband wasn't keen over the cinnamon in the sauce, but I found it delightful. I ordered a breakfast burrito that was filled with delicious bites of potato, eggs and sausage, and bacon.Overall, it was a delightful experience. We even got to meet Nelson's husband as he served guests and bustles around the dining room. We will be back for more!Compliments to Nelson!!!

The Shining star at Nelson's in the Whit is the staff! Everyone here was so nice and accommodating! Everyone said hello and goodbye and someone even opened the door for us when they saw us coming up the walk. The staff was what we talked about after the meal even though the food was also great! The dishes were reliable standards but all of them had unique flavors. The price points were also very good for the Whit. We will def be back!
