Office Depot on line order 8/8/2021. I ordered a computer program, Winzip for Windows 10, on line and paid $49.99 with my VISA. I received an URL to download the product, down loaded it, and attempted to initiate the exc. file. I received a message "this app can't run on your PC." I contacted Office Depot Customer Service, which in its self was quite the ordeal since contacts are not easy to make. Drop downs and no place to enter a problem. Finally found a telephone number and contacted "Customer Service" ha ha. They (she) told me that my issue would be passed on to, I believe, their technical support, At this point I wasnt paying a lot of attention so I dont recall what the exact title was. After asking for, then demanding, a refund I was informed that they couldnt do that, I would have to wait for who ever the referenced entity was and that might take a week to 10 days!On August 9 I received an email from redsupport (
[email protected]), who ever that is, instructing me to "Can you please disable the antivirus and the firewall, then try again? If you are still having issues, please provide us with a screenshot of the error message you have", I tried this with still no success. I then sent them a screen shot of the only message I got, "this app can't run on your PC." On August 10th I received an email from a contractor, a Research Specialist at the Virtual warehouse, Office Depot. It read: "Thank you for contacting us regarding the above order# for the item# 7539888WINZIP 25 PRO WINDOWS), QTY (1). Can you please provide us with a screenshot of the error message? Also, what is your operating system?On August 12th I received a second email from the "Research Specialist". It read: Hi Bruce, Thank you for contacting us regarding the above order# for the item# 7539888WINZIP 25 PRO WINDOWS), QTY (1). This is to let you know your request is still pending. We apologize for any delay, and greatly appreciate your patience. I am awaiting follow up to support resolving this issue for you. I will continue to monitor this transaction and advise you once we have an update.This is August 16 and still no resolution. All of this for a $49.99 product and all I wanted was a refund!!
