I'm not giving this Petco in Eugene, Or a rating because they are a zero. Starting from when we walked in where nobody bothered to clean the rug at the entrance to the over crowded garbage cans. This store is not clean to anyone's standards and needs some serious attention fromCorporate. There dust in the shelves, crap on the floor, spider webs throughout, someone please go visit the store and take control. Poor Poor standards for both animals and humans. I guess I have to give a rating to post a review

I can't really recommend Pet o because they don't have a very good selection and it seems the stuff they should have in stock is always out of the products. Forget about asking anyone advice, questions or help with anything. It seems they're understaffed and really only have 1-2 if you're lucky enough to get a second cashier when it gets busy. The only help seems to be the grooming area and a register. I haven't been to Petco in a while and I don't know if I'll ever go back.

This establishment is a sham. They clearly advertised puppies but upon arrival the staff were unhelpful and puppiless. We saw absolutely no reason to spend time in this overpriced store if not for puppies. Terrible experience. Avoid this petco at all costs.

The Pet grooming person helpful in person but when I attempted to book online for grooming no answer. left two separate messages to call back as instructed with no returns.unable to book appointment online several times because a message popped up every time saying that this particular store located T Vally River in Eugene, OR did not offer grooming services which is untrue.I called HELP number and no help at all.I just figure if they are this careless with responding to customers It may not be a safe place to groom my pet so went elsewhere.

Very little help here.. I stood around for almost 10 minutes before I actually saw someone. Not enough staff. Limited variety. I'd rather go to Petsmart.

This is a great place to get things for your fish. They have a wide selection of choices your the fish tank. The people at Petco care a lot about the animals and they are very helpful.

We took our dogs here and they were so nice. It was also so quick to get our dogs vaccines. Less than 10 minutes.

On 12/24/21 we went into petco. We frequent this location often as from our experience the aquarium employees are helpful. However, yesterday we were very surprised to see they had placed figure-eight puffer fish with some Mollys, and the puffer fish were essentially hunting and killing the mollies. This is surprised us because anyone who knows about puffers know they are carnivorous-the mollies were setup to suffer and eventually die. Even the employee said they were carnivores when I told him the other fish needed help because they were being eaten. They had mollies in tanks surrounding the puffer tank as well so we are very confused as to why whoever thought it was a good idea to pair some with puffer fish. A simple small thing to many, but it should be simple enough to not happen. It makes it easier to continue switching all of my shopping to small businesses, as the ones I goto would never do such a thing and let the little creatures suffer.

this is a horrible place the Guinea pigs are in super small enclosure and thear where 3 guinea pigs in their this is unacceptable PetSmart is better then this junk please these animals need help if u can go buy the animals that are in danger

I scheduled an appointment for a bath/cut for my westie yesterday. I brought her in today at the scheduled time and they said that I didn't have an appointment scheduled. No problem tho, she got my little girl right in. I picked her up this afternoon and she shook as soon as she got in the car. Hair went everywhere. Got home, I smelled her & she smelled like metal from the clippers. I could tell she had not been given a bath. All 3 girls I came in contact with were very nice. Although, I payed for a service that I did not get. So, regretfully I will have to find a different groomer. And that's very unfortunate because I live right up the street. So, convenience is very important as I have a very busy schedule. Have a nice day

Usually I come here often because they have better service than the Gayeway location but I came in tonight for some friends for my betta. I asked Raechel with short dark hair for some assistance picking out some fish. She gave me an angry look, huffed and puffed and said "really?" I let her know I can ask someone else and she replied "you literally can't, I'm literally the only one here to help" once she was able to help me she seemed to have a better attitude and cooled down. I asked what are good options to go with bettas and how much she knows about bettas and she said "nothing. I know we sell them and that they're colorful. I understand that closing shifts are tough and that she could have been busy but a simple "I can help you as soon as I can" would have been fine. She should probably be more trained on the knowledge of fish.

They have pretty decent service but will change your pets grooming appointment on a whim (literally the day before) without even calling to discuss if the time they choose will work for you. Just send a text or email as if you don't have a life and are working with your own schedule. They won't allow you to reschedule either. I've lost hope for this location, which is a real bummer because the gateway location is even worse.

This store is usually awesome with good hours and great customer service. Today was my first time in in a while however and was "greeted" by Gina, who announced angrily "WE'RE CLOSING IN 1 MINUTE". I checked my iPhone which showed they were closing in 4 minutes which I was unaware of otherwise I would've come tomorrow. Luckily for her I had one item to buy and knew exactly where it was. Was back checking out with her within 2 minutes. She was rude again at checkout. I noticed she had locked up early while I was inside and there was a customer waiting outside. Hope the manager sees this- I may call tomorrow to let them know. I understand a hard day and wanting/needing to get out of work at a decent hour but c'mon. Also, she wasn't wearing a mask. Really?

This location seems to be way worse in treating Betta fish than the one at Springfield there was one literally dying at this location from fin rot It makes me sad that when you go pick up a new pet for your kid and they end up crying because all the depressed and dead fish it's traumatic I felt like petco had more standards to treat animals and they were ahead of other chain pet stores this is disappointing
