  Had the orange and beet salad. It was so good! My fellow guests both had regular menu items, the pasta special, and they had 2 of the 3 desserts choices. All enjoyed their meals. I will definitely be coming back for lunch again.

  The service was good. No ice for your water. The french onion soup bowl was the size of a cup at other restaurants.Nothing outstanding. I ordered a chicken sandwich, my mistake I didn't read it was a thigh and was expecting a breast. Good flavor but was a bit fatty with gristle. Disappointed that before the pandemic tip was included. Prices seem a bit high and now tipping is not included. Mushroom burger, lamb, rock fish and rizotto was good.

  Rye never disappoints. After moving here from the East Coast, Rye is the only place that satisfies my culinary appetite. It's cozy, it's delicious, and the service is always outstanding. Thanks for being here and doing what you do best! The poutine and french onion soup are 10/10

  Stopped here because it is considered one of the best restaurants in Eugene. Unfortunately I was really disappointed. The food description makes the food sound delicious and elevated however, the food is mediocre at best especially for the price. I had 30 dollar chicken thighs with potatoes and they were terrible. They tasted so plain and greasy. KFC would have been better. Nothing had any flavor including the salads. Nothing was seasoned and had a severe lack of salt in everything. The service was good and the one cocktail we had was also good. Bottom line is don't be fooled by the price point. The food isn't worth half the price.

  My friend and I had a reservation at 7:15, ordered quickly, and didn’t get our food until 8:40. Not once were we checked in with, or asked if we wanted another drink or appetizer. The food was brought out without apology, and while the meal tasted great, we were again never checked in with after the food came. I made a polite comment to our server that we were disappointed with how long it took to get our food and how we were not once checked in with, and she sternly said “I’m sorry” and hurried off. This had a potential to be a great dinner but the service was extremely disappointing.

  I’ve wanted to try this place for several months. However, ultimately I left underwhelmed.Parking is adequate and easily accessible. We were seated promptly, and I was grateful that there was an available table. Initial drink orders were taken and served in a reasonable amount of time.After having been there for a bit, I remarked a few times about the ambiance. The place in general is nicely furnished. But, something just felt a bit off. My friend thought it was the dark ceiling. I thought it may have been that and also the lack of ambient noise. It was almost uncomfortably quiet.The mezcal margarita I had was decent. It wasn’t too heavy of a pour, as the smokiness can sometimes be overpowering. The soup I had was quite good. I believe it was ham and potato chowder. I had the apple and bleu cheese salad for my main dish. It wasn’t bad, but generally unremarkable.I think what most sticks out in my mind is the timing of when dishes came out and also how an issue with the food was handled. I ordered a soup to start. My soup came, and I finished it. A lady came and took my soup bowl. We waited quite a while, and my friend and I still hadn’t received our meals. I believe at some point I even commented about how long it was taking. Eventually, the food did arrive. My salad was a little soggy, but edible. My friend ordered the duck breast. He said it arrived cold; the vegetables were undercooked, and there was a discrepancy in what was described on the menu. It was brought to the attention of the person who was looking after our table. I don’t remember exactly everything that was said. It just came across as defensive and was handled entirely the wrong way, in my opinion.An occasional check-in would’ve went a long way towards preventing some of these things, I feel.-1: Situational Awareness & Addressing Complaints-1: Ambiance-1: Speed of Service

  Not a favorite. Nice facility and wonderful staff. The menu was quite limited and not much that appealed to my pallet so that reflects in my review. I opted for a pear salad and it was acceptable but a bit on the small side. In asking some others in our large group about their meals there were mixed comments tending toward the not great side. My dessert was pretty good, not great. With so many options to choose from in this area, this place has some progress to make from my experience.

  Great date night experience. Highly recommend a reservation ahead of time. Bartender is more of a mixologist because of how delicious the drinks were, lots of experience that you can taste. Food was top tier. Female head chef (should have memorized her name) has a great menu on her hands. Highly recommend the short ribs.

  We're visiting from out of town for the USC vs Oregon game. The Rye staff accommodated a table change request and gave us a great table in the main dining room. The food was very very good. We ordered the bouillabaisse, chicken marsala, and salmon. The desserts of various chocolates were also great. We would recommend a visit. Thank you!

  Went on recommendation, couldn't be more pleased! We were taken care of for our anniversary, to say the food and service were impeccable would be an understatement! The wine was perfect, atmosphere is busy but thankfully the tables are mostly secluded so it feels more intimate. We are definitely an "alt" couple and we did not stick out. Mixed drinks were perfectly balanced. Not cheap but not expensive either. You definitely need to try this place out!!
