A few weeks ago my truck broke down in Springfield and had to be towed to Sun Automotive near Oakway. I was notified on Monday that my timing belt broke, causing serious damage to my engine. The staff was extremely honest and professional. They let me know that the timing belt that failed they replaced a few years ago, and it should not have failed. Knowing this caused serious damage to my engine, they ordered me a new engine from FORD! They covered the entire cost for the engine and installation. I could not have been more impressed with the integrity of the staff and the shop.

I really appreciate Sun Automotive campus location. They’ve always appeared to put customer satisfaction and the ongoing relationship first. I don’t feel they’re trying to sell me something I don’t necessarily need. I always feel understood and supported. I worked with Layne this time and she definitely upheld this reputation they’ve earned with me and I really appreciate that.

I asked them to diagnose the check engine light and they came back with recommendations for repairs in excess of $1300 plus recommended other repairs that had already recently been fixed. I took the car to another shop and all it needed to resolve the check engine light was an OEM gas cap.

I originally took my Ford Escape in because it developed an issue with its cooling system. Turned out a lot more than that was wrong with the car, and Sun gave me a full listing of problems they found, itemized, with repair estimates and even photos.
I opted to have them do not just the cooling system fix but also all of the recommended repairs and checks, because I would rather pay the extra money right away than risk something breaking more (resulting in a more expensive repair, or worse) later. This naturally took some extra time, but I was kept updated on the status and picked up the car only two days later.
At which point I was told they had discovered an oil leak (I suspect it was caused by my using one of the quick oil change places a month earlier) that needed to be addressed. I was provided an estimate for that repair, and some days later I took the car back in to have that done.
Every time I went in I had a highly pleasant experience -- apart from the bad news, of course, but that's no one's fault -- and was treated with kindness and respect.
For both appointments they were also able to get me in first thing on Monday morning, so 2-3 business days after the day the appointment was arranged.
I would definitely recommend Sun Automotive for any car repair needs you may have.
This was the first time I had taken my car to a shop (I've only owned it for a few months), and I won't need to be looking for a different one for any future repairs or routine checks.

I enjoy taking my car here I am a repeat customer. They always take great care of my car and I love how detailed, they are in the report and how they don’t push things on me that I don’t need I also like how they give me a ride home and back to get my car it’s really convenient they are super helpful and Great customer service

This place has excellent customer service and was able to get my car fixed even though my vehicle has a modification on it. Their promise was to get me back on the road and that's exactly what they did. Can't recommend them enough!

I would give 6 stars if I could. We are on a cross country drive and we’re having serious brake issues. Serious enough to need assistance immediately. Sun Automotive (specifically Layne) went above and beyond to squeeze us in their schedule and could not have been more understanding and helpful. We were turned away by 20+ other shops, but once we got in contact with Sun Automotive, Layne stayed on the phone with us for several minutes helping us coordinate and facilitate the work needed. Absolute life saver. Truly I would recommended them to anyone. Thank you Layne!

I've trusted Sun with my car for years, and am continuously pleased with their work. This time around, I had a relatively large repair. The team diagnosed the issue quickly, gave me options (and prices) for how to proceed, and kept me updated throughout. I highly recommend!
