SLOW and unapologetic. Being a customer for 15 years the CS and responsiveness have been going down over the last 3 years. They used to be a great bank and now I only use my account as a spare tire. If they could fix their service I'd be willing to invest. There are better local options.

when i started banking w/umpqua over 20 years ago they were a customer oriented business. now, they are a customer inconvenience. i've just been charged a maintenance fee for something they say has been in place all along. no way. i've been inconvenienced by having to change safe deposit boxes in the past. & now the merger w/columbia bank has left me w/o a safe deposit box. i found out about the merger a month b4. it was never addressed to current customers & no mention ever made in the paper (except for industry periodicals). the past vibe of the friendly local bank is gone. i should have seen the writing on the wall when they closed all the satellite offices that were so convenient to bank with.

They have some crazy systemic issues with their online banking. Do not bank with these people. 3+ hours of my time to try and get my wife added to my business account... still doesn't work. pulling my money out. Every person tells me that they have to fill out a form... no-one can actually just fix the problem.

Multiple significantly disappointing interactions at various locations with different tellers have left me feeling incredibly disenfranchised. I do not recommend umpqua bankEDIT: don’t bother replying with your canned empathy statement umpqua, as it’s just as meaningless and ineffectual as your staff.

They've gotten so large, being bought or buying. We began with them when they were Centennial. Several changes later and they have become strangers to us. We had a $2million line of credit for our personal business and ultimately, despite 25+ years of successful financial dealings, new staff, mergers happened and it became very clear they no longer wanted our relationship. We jumped ship, so to speak. If you want to contact anyone there, you call the 1-800 # in the Sky, have long hold times and there's a total loss of the personal relationships we once had.

Once again total lack of customer service. I requested hard copies of my bank statements, including all check images, for 2021. I questioned the employee about the files. I asked if all 2021 statements were there, she said yes. I asked if all statements had check images, she said yes. Neither one of those statements was accurate. Half of 2021 and no check images whatsoever. When I commented about the error another employee told me I should have requested the check images. I did!So $70 dollars and incorrect.I have had so much difficulty dealing with Umpqua during my husband's declining health & passing it has added quite a bit of stress. Can't wait until estate is settled and move to customer oriented bank.

Wants to put a hold on a business check for 7 days, incapable of verifying funds. Absolutely frustrating and infuriating. Huge waste of my time. AVOID
