There is hardly a site that is level. Everything is on a hill. Not much sun in spots for any solar.

Excellent camp ground for privacy. The campsites are close together but the growth is so much that you can't see the next campers over. However you can sure hear them! No showers or power but a nice place to stay while visiting close by places like the Heceta lighthouse and beach, the sea lion caves and Florence. Each site has a picnic table and fire pit. There are water spickets dispersed through the campground. There are vault toilets on site. We would stay here again.Restrooms: Vault toilets. No showers.

I don't really have many kind words for our stay at Alder Dune.-- Plan on the sites being small, as in, tiny. Don't bother with anything greater than a 6 person tent. There may be a few that are larger but it's the exception, not the rule.-- Because of the site sizes or otherwise, the noise levels are intense. The hosts are a kind, older couple (and report being hosts since 1988) but I felt dismissed when I brought concerns about the noise to the hosts both the nights we were there.-- Our neighboring site (aka about 10 feet away) were going at it until 3am. Nothing was done that night or the endless noise the night before.-- I attempted to address the concerns directly with the campers and the hosts, and... Nothing was done across the board except meet our concerns with complete disregard.-- Due to not getting sleep, we actually couldn't make the 4 hour drive home and had to stay in a hotel to get some rest before making the trip home.

Was a wonderful time, the camp hosts were exceptionally kind, and at the time of this review, the restrooms were immaculate. The path around one of the lakes there was well cleared. Some mosquitos but there's a few small lakes there so it is to be expected.I only wish there was a tiny bit more foliage for privacy, but overall I would absolutely come back.Restrooms: Exceptionally well maintained and stocked with tons of TP.

Basic campground with a kind manager. She helped us out and was very accommodating. We came here without any reservations around 8:30pm and got a spot. There are paved spots, some level some not. They all come with a little area to pitch a tent, a picnic table and a fire pit. The bathroom has a composting toilet and some hand sanitizer. It had grab bars on the walls and was quite large. It seemed accessible/ ADA compliant. There aren't any electrical hookups, but they did have a water fill station. I didn't use it so I can't speak to whether it's potable. Our spot cost us about $36 for the night. We felt very safe and people were kind.Restrooms: The bathroom has a composting toilet and some hand sanitizer. It had grab bars on the walls and was quite large. It seemed accessible/ ADA compliant.Picnic area: Had a picnic table near a fire pit and open area for each spot.

Nice campground. Vault toilets that are regularly maintained and water stations all over the place. The trees at several of the sites offer privacy. Lots of little trails that go around the lake.

Camp Host is impolite and nosey to boot. Place has Gone down hill in the last 5 years with upkeep on the vegetation taking over campsites and trails

Quite campground, hosts have a minimal presence, there aren’t very spacious sites, but they’re are all private. There are a set of vault toilets in each of the two loops, and a a set of larger flush toilet restrooms in the day use area that also has electric outlets for charging. Not a lot of traffic through here, there were however a pair of tweakers in a pick up truck trying to fish the money out of the pay box with something sticky on the end of a rod they were shoving in to the pay box. There’s a nice trail you can walk from Alder to Sutton lake campground that’s about 1.5 miles away. The dunes and the trailhead protect this area from the coastal winds.During my stay, I returned late one evening and some woman in a blue SUV with WA plates was parked in my campsite and when asked what she was doing there she just sort of looked at me strangely until I barked at her to get out because it wasn’t her site.Whackadoodle.
