Misleading advertising, you call about walk-in vaccination, phone message says yes, when in store recording advertising says the pharmacy does walk in vaccination. All false advertising. Was standing talking to the pharmacy as in store advertising was playing on the speakers saying did walk-ins vaccination. was told no walk in vaccination by the pharmacy. Then watch everything you buy. It will have sale signs posted, but items are not coded correctly on the checkout system. Have called the California head office to complain. Corporate doesn't care. So I shop somewhere else. As it can slow up the check out by a half hour when you find a misleading sale price on check out. Clearly bate and stich. I only buy one or two items if no one else in town has it.

Great people and good service every time I come here but after surgery, I'm waiting in the car for a 1/2 hour in the parking lot for my prescription because they are closed at one thirty pm on a weekday? I tried to call the phone number to speak to someone and their mailbox is full and not taking messages! After surgery, the first thing you want to do is get your meds and head home to get comfortable before the numbing wears off. After an already stressful day and a painful surgery this is not helping!Edit- After finally making it to the front of the line when they opened from lunch, my husband was told it would be 45 more minutes. He let them know he had a surgery patient in the car waiting but they did not care. Looks like we need to find a new pharmarcy.

The pharmacy techs have the worst customer service I have ever experienced! Told me my insurance company was hacked & that I would have to pay $$$ cash for my prescription. My health care provider was not hacked & this pharmacy insisted on the phone that United healthcare was responsible for their inability to deliver medications. Cancelled the prescription. I will hopefully never have to experience that again! If you have a choice do yourself a favor and go somewhere else!

I have had good experience with this pharmacy so far. Most of the staff there are very friendly and helpful. But it's important to keep in mind they have a lot of new customers now with the other pharmacies closing. The key is being patient ?

This is, by far, the WORST pharmacy I have ever used. They so consistently and so frequently mess up medications and refills that it would be easier to list the times they did something right. The male pharmacist is okay, he's helpful and informative. The redhead lady, however, is a Karen of the utmost entitlement. She is rude, abrasive, and miserable. The regular workers are mostly wonderful, however. Problem is the pharmacy mostly can't do anything right, not even simple chronic, long-term refills that you have been getting for years. Their auto-refill is useless. They don't answer the phone. You have to wait in line for very long periods, sometimes up to an hour. After recent issues I have finally decided that moving my business elsewhere is best for my health, my sanity, and my time. Good riddance, I say.

I got a message stating my medication was ready for pickup. In this message there was the price of the drug and it was insane. So I tried to call. I press the buttons that connect me to the pharmacy and it just rings and rings. The message says that I could leave me information and the pharmacy staff would return my call "if needed". That wasn't acceptable to me in this situation, so I just called hoping to get in line. Nope. I drove to the pharmacy. There is no line, they were not visually busy. They were able to help me nearly immediately. While I am waiting to get information, the staff start chatting about mouse pads and what color they should buy. I snapped and asked if that was really the reason they weren't answering the phone. The response practically shouted from the back was that their phones were not working. Really? You're a popular pharmacy in a small town of retirees and your phone just isn't working? That's unacceptable and even worse is the lack of communication. All of this unprofessional behavior was compounded by the blatant disregard for standard operating procedures handling prior-authorization with my insurance company. Instead of getting in contact with the doctor's office or the insurance company, like any other pharmacy would have done prior to telling me the script was ready, they told me it was my responsibility and proceeded to lecture me that people pay full price for their prescriptions without insurance everyday and they had even applied a discount. As if it was some heartfelt thing. These people are clowns and are woefully incompetent. If I could complain to the board of pharmacy and get them all fired, I would. Instead - please consider reporting these horrible representatives of Safeway to their store manager and post reviews every time they try to screw you. They are the worst in town and thankfully, we have more pharmacists in town willing to do their jobs.

They do not answer the phone. I have been trying to transfer my business to Fred Myers due to less then desirable service. This is due to the pharmacy never staffing properly and the current staff being overworked and overstressed. No one there is happy to see you at the window. No staff has time to answer the phone to serve customers and they have never had any answers to why they couldn't call Freddie's and transfer scripts. There is no where to sit in the pharmacy area and this results in the line forming down a grocery store isle. It seems real "bush league" there unfortunately. I have no faith and no confidence in Safeway anymore.

I can never get ahold of anyone at the Florence Safeway pharmacy. Evidently I am not the only one. Twice I have had to call this location’s customer service desk and they had to go give pharmacy a message. This is what I get: okay, all Bi Mart pharmacy members transferred their prescriptions BUT, then add staff to this location, work on who takes messages in the pharmacy. Don’t just leave people hanging. It’s hard enough to wait in line at this location. I have personally waited 50 minutes in line only to get up to the counter and have the pharmacy assistant treat me with disdain as if I were bothering her. Hello…with all your elderly population in Florence DO something different!

I have chosen the Safeway Pharmacy as the one I use years ago and have been satisfied with the service. Now my opinion is much different, they still have GREAT STAFF, but with taking on extra prescriptions they seem unable to keep up. I don't understand why there aren't more staff hired to fill thIs overload of work. I am waiting for a refill and it has been about a week. Wait in line an hour.

Their delivery service is th they have no way to contact the driver which is odd since they schedule them. And more times than not you don't get a receipt or the list of what they sent.

Cindy in the pharmacy is absolutely horrific. I trying to give her my name and DOB for my prescription and she couldn't hear me so she started getting annoyed and impatient. After multiple failed attempts of trying to tell her I had to raise my voice louder than I'd prefer when giving someone personal information like that. Way to assure your customers' privacy! I've had my identity stolen twice so having to give this information loudly is less than ideal. After she finally got it I said it would be helpful to keep sticky notes or something so customers can write that information down and her response was "we'd have sticky notes all over the place if we did that." I legitimately thought she was going to say "We can hand you a piece of receipt paper to write it down" or something. Instead she was rude. She then told me she's been a pharmacy tech for 16 years and she's never had anyone "make that complaint." First off, it wasn't a complaint. Second, why would you have sticky notes all over the place if not a single person in 16 years has ever asked you for one? Seriously is this attitude necessary? I finally said "I just want to bring it to your attention that you come across as less than friendly." She said exasperatingly said "well!" That was it. She then yelled that she was not going to apologize to me and when I said I was willing to let this all go but once you start yelling at me I have to tell someone so they can make sure you don't yell at other customers. Her response was "You call whoever you want! When you stand here waiting on customers all day then you can tell me how to do my job!!" Suggesting you keep sticky notes nearby is "telling you how to do your job?" Seriously? At this point people walking by stopped because they were trying to figure out why someone was yelling. I finally just walked away and she CONTINUED to yell at me as I was walking down the aisle. People standing in the aisle were looking back and forth between her and me to try to figure out what the hell was going on. This woman is incredibly rude and unprofessional. If I walk in and she's working, I leave and come back later just to avoid having to speak to her ever again. If that's the way Safeway wants their customers to feel, then mission accomplished. If management reads this I would encourage them to ask Cindy how long she has been a pharmacy tech. If she says 16 years then there is only one way I would even know that.

On-line flu shot scheduling is a joke. You can sign up for a time and get a confirmation, but when you go to the pharmacy they say "we aren't giving shots, come back later but we have no idea when". Great way to run a business and great way to loose customers.
