Really insane reviews for this place. I didn't stay at the campground but made a stop at the store for some wine. For being the only market for miles the prices were very reasonable! Also had coffee and lots of other simple meals/food and groceries for travelers or campers. A very kind older woman checked me out and I was on my way!

Jo's does not support the local area in any way-they turn away customers that have reservations when they find out they're attending a local event. My 80 year old grandparents slept in their car when they weren't allowed in their room because they had attended a party for a local family. That's discriminating against local families. So unwelcoming-their sign reads "No kids. No pets. No groups."

Jo's is a perfect camping spot right outside of the National Park. Its quite, well run and the staff are very friendly. Right now theres only one campground in the park open and this is a fantastic option for when it fills up. It is small and first come first serve. The bathrooms were clean and had hot showers, just bring your own towel.

I don't know anything about the lodging but this grocery store is awesome! I've never had such a wonderful selection of healthy (gluten free) food in such a remote area. Service was great too.

This is a shady business. I made a booking - had 3 people in my party and felt with two beds it should be ok. And I put reservation for 2 as it didn't allow 3, and i put in the comment that we will have a 3rd person. They charged my card and then cancelled my reservation the next day but not refunding the deposit. Either they accept the reservation or cancel with refund. I had given all information on the reservation itself. And they hung up on me and they won't pick up the call!!

It's been almost a year since my stay at Jo's, and I'm still thinking about it. Jo's was an essential part of my Crater Lake experience!Jo's is a series of incredibly spacious (seriously--it's like an entire apartment) little "cabins" with their own carports attached to a general store (ask Jo if you can "check out" a DVD from her library when you check in!). The cabins are furnished with Oregon books, photos, and more, which is such a lovely touch. Despite what some of these (weird) reviews say about the mattresses, they're firm but comfortable. The shower honestly had the best water pressure I've ever experienced. Or, maybe I was just ready to relax after a long day of hiking... either way, it was perfect. If you're going to spend a few days at Crater Lake, you really should stay here. I will stay here again during my next trip. Only a short drive from the National Park, incredibly affordable, and just that extra something. It's honestly magical. No TV, no internet. Just you in your cabin watching Jo's DVDs after a long day of hiking. And, yes. Jo has all your favorite movies from your childhood. Nothing hits better after a long day of hiking.

Small, but amazingly well-stocked grocery store. And they make good espresso drinks, too.

It’s what you’re looking for! Clean, cozy, warm and close the Crater Lake. It’s like staying at your grandmothers house. No WiFi , No Cable but a great selection of classic DVD’s. The gas fireplace adds to the warmth and charm. The organic grocery offers a nice selection. The owners are on site and friendly. This is not a 5 star hotel! But for what it is, it gets 5 stars!

Stayed here in the summer of 2022. Owners were extremely friendly. Rooms spacious. Rates fair. The way the rooms are set up (with a car-port in between them) ensured that no noise traveled from room-to-room from other guests. This is extremely rare for most motels on the road. There was a surprisingly large selection of high quality food (including organic options), drinks (both alcoholic and not), and snacks right on site. This was great, as there isn't much else in the immediate area. And, as internet and cell service is limited or non-existent, a vast selection of DVDs available for free, with an DVD player in each room. Beautiful scenery in the area. Overall a great stay for those looking to disconnect.

Fair pricing for a nice camp on the Wood River, with a bathroom! There was a beautiful church on the property next to us too.

Jo's is a great motel close to Crater Lake and other local sites. The two owners are friendly and knowledgeable. They also operate a small store onsite where you can grab food. And, they provide ground coffee (they grind it themselves) for your room. Very clean, private, quiet. only about 14 miles away from Crater Lake gate - easy drive. They have free DVDs to use while you're there. Also, a beautiful river is out back along with camping and RV sites. I'll definitely stay again next time I visit the area.

Small basic motel. Very clean. Great proximity to Crater Lake. Closest services about 15 miles. Store on-site with beer, wine, produce, snacks, coffee. Owner grinded coffee and provided half and half for in room coffee maker. Bathroom is small but fully functional. No wifi. No cable. Limited Verizon service. Free dvds in office for room use. Mic and mini fridge. Carport with room. Lots of rules. No kids, no pets. Limit 2 per room or RV site. I would stay again but must say mattress was too firm.

Cute little place but it's organic so finding something to drink other than water was tough. Better for people staying there than ones padding thru.
