They say a package got delivered but it never did. I've lived here for 4 years now and this post office just gets worse and worse! It's obvious they don't care at all about this town

This is an easy to get to a not too crowded post office. Those who work there are super helpful and I really enjoy going there.

They are very lazy! you can tell it's a government job. I have lived out here for 30 years and it just gets worse.
They don't even attempt to deliver my packages just leave slips saying sorry we missed you. The Carlton PO has MUCH better service!!!!

Never deliver to my address saying there is no secure place. There is, they just don’t want to get out of the car to get to it.

Not getting my mail since the time I took ownership of a new residence in Gaston to which the letter carrier who knows me personally has made comments to others that I got mail in my name to that address yet never delivered it to my box that I check routinely. It's been 3 months and no mail. Even mail I had others send to me personally to test whether I would get it or not has not been received. Filing a complaint next with the post master.

It seems they no longer wish to leave anything in my mailbox that is bigger than a flat envelope and now leave me orange stickies (occasionally) to let me know that I need to go to the PO itself to get my deliveries. Most of the time I get a notice on email, guess it is a good thing I signed up for that notification. I don't understand why they can't bring it to the house if needed. When I inquired, they stated that it was due to my gate on the driveway and they do not deliver to gated driveways due to animals that could get out. I have notified them every time that I do not have animals that can get out and I would appreciate having my mail delivered, since I travel a lot and am not home to go to the Gaston PO. all of the time It requires me to take off of work when they don't deliver. That costs money and if I am traveling for a month, they send my stuff back to the sender. This is not how you do business. And the hours that I can find time to come up there, they are closed. So, what am I supposed to do? This is not a CUSTOMER SERVICE focused post office in any way.

Carriers can’t deliver mail or packages to the correct address, and that’s if you can get them to actually take it out of the office at all instead of delivering notes saying they were too lazy to deliver it so you need to pick it up at the post office. Oh, but seeing as how the postmaster is so incompetent that he can’t schedule his employees to actually be able to keep the office open so it’s closed for over an hour in the middle of the day for “lunch”, you’ll have to come back later.
