I just want to say , " thank you" to Karen. She runs Gearhart Post Office efficiently. I know it can't be easy with so many Amazon packages these days. The Gearhart Post Office is the epitome of a small town post office. Karen knows me and the names of my grandmother, father, mother, sisters and daughter. She is always friendly and helpful.

Where is the -1 star rating? Google again limits options. USPS......I don't even know where to begin. I had a task. I needed a USPS label printed, put on a purchased package that I needed packed and shipped. I thought hmmmm USPS label, USPS location close by, I will go. I did. I walked in to this USPS, specified my need, and the two ladies at the counter looked a me as if I was crazy! A label printed? We don't have a printer to print anything with, much less if it was an official USPS label in an email. A box to put stuff in? We don't have that? Then it shipped? We can't do that without a label that we cannot print with no printer or way of retreiving the document, much less weigh an item accurately when we don't have a scale to weigh packages with! After a short candid conversation with the 2 employees who were actually quite humerous, responsive and kind to talk to I left. How about don't ever go to USPS if you need something shipped becasue this is how they demonstrate a successfull business model through accurate advertising? Go to EZ Shipping, right down the street. Remember the USPS business models with "accurate advertising." Here lets help accurately advertise the USPS services here.1. Cannot print USPS labels here, no printer.2. Cannot access USPS data on USPS labels, no computer.3. Cannot pack USPS packages, no USPS packages to pack in.4. Cannot put USPS printed labels on packages, no printer for labels.5. Cannot ship USPS labeled packages without a label and package first, which cannot be done here, no labels or packages.6. Cannot weigh packages to ship, no scale.See all of the "cannots" that the USPS failed to tell you about recently? Well, just don't go here and you don't have to experience an employee spending an incredible amount of time telling you what they "cannot" do as a major shipping company. Don't trust the USPS with your data.

If I could leave a zero star review for this place I would. The horrible woman that's the main post person in there that you have to interact with to get your mail or get your packages is 90% of the time really rude. My mom went in there to ask simple questions about the P.O. Box that she has had for years and the lady named Karen didn't even answer her because "she doesn't live in gearhart anymore" like she wasn't good enough talk to because she doesn't live in that town anymore. I don't understand the disrespect or the immature attitude that comes from this lady especially when working a government job. I can understand if your having a bad day but you don't put your bad day towards your customers it's pathetic. Honestly for how nice the town is I'd expect there to be nicer employees for this place.

I called because our package was not delivered to the condo and was told to go to the Seaside post office. When I went to the Seaside post office, they said the package was already on the way back to Gearhart. When we went to the Gearhart post office and saw our package outside, we leaned and ask if we could take it. Karen barked at my wife and then slammed the door in her face. My wife was visibly shaken by the time she got back to the car. I was told to come back at 11 and walked in at 10:58 and the first word out of her mouth was "nope". This person should not be allowed to deal with the public. Her customer service skills are horrendous.

Great little spot, Karen is doing great work! Always so helpful and great conversation, also bring cash if you wanna conduct a transaction but if you just buy a label online and "print at post office" you'll be fine and save some money on the USPS website

Will never use this one again! Rude and annoying woman who lectured me for using the wrong label on my package. I’ve used the same label while traveling all across the USA and never been told anything was wrong. She was abrupt and unfriendly even though I tried very hard to be friendly to her. They need to put her in the back where she’s not dealing with the public.

One star is misleading. It should be zero stars. This is what the USPS calls a "private contract unit." The rude and aggressive employee inside would probably be fired if they worked in a regular post office.

The big lady with the bigger attitude is the worst public service agent I think I’ve ever dealt with in my life - snippy and condescending as they come, they really ought to fire her or keep her in the back. No one deserves to deal with that kind of attitude from a “grown woman” - I behaved better when I was a self serving drunk. What a shameful face for businesses, I’ll travel the next town up to Warrenton or Astoria to mail in the future.

It's ridiculous when you want to just mail 2 pieces of paper in a envelope and their mailbox slot is deliberately blocked so it won't open enough. I always have to drop it off inside.

Went into this office for the first time last Friday to collect some packages that were not delivered to my home by Amazon Prime. The woman working behind the counter was rude when I entered and immediately told me she couldn't understand me speaking through my mask. She then proceeded to lecture me on how she felt I was wearing my surgical mask incorrectly and until I "fixed it" she was not going to help me. I told her that my mask was indeed on correctly and that it was not her job to lecture me on how to wear it. I told her that there is not a "universal mask" that the public is required to wear, and that I found her continued accusations to be harassment. Only when I told her that I was going to call the police if she didn't hand me my mail, she bent down and threw my packages through the tiny hole and the bottom of her epic plastic shield. I then asked for her name and contact information to file a complaint, and she refused saying "I'm not a federal employee so you don't need that." I did file a complaint the same day with the Seaside post office supervisor. And I did find out that this person is not a real postal clerk--only a contractor hired to do a job that she is clearly not qualified for. This person should not be allowed to work with the public. It is not her job to lecture people or instruct anyone on how to wear a mask, or refuse service to anyone based on her own paranoia or agenda. I will never set foot in this post office again and if she were my employee-- I would've fired her on the spot.
