The guy tells me to bring my truck in never worked on it. I picked it up. Never got a call back or an apology. And this is my neighbor.

The mechanic seemed nice at first and more than willing to look at my car and work on it. Once we dropped it off we never heard back from him, he almost never picked up the phone or gave us an update. When I called three weeks into him having the car he said he had barely looked at it past running the codes, which he said there were nine codes popping up, but when we ran it there was only one. I tried calling the next week and all he said was he THINKS it’s a blown head gasket but hadn’t fully looked at it. I then asked for an estimate and he said he would call back with one which he NEVER did. I had called him nonstop for two weeks, he never picked up. My dad’s friend drove past the shop various times to see my car parked blocks down from the shop and constantly being moved around to avoid getting a ticket. Every time my dad went to pick up the car during business hours the shop was closed. Finally my dad left a voicemail for him to which he actually did respond to but the LIED and him that he had told me that he REFUSED to work on it because it would be to much work, which NEVER happened.Avoid this place at all costs, it’s a scam and a time suck.

I've been going to Al's for years because he's local but the quality and customer service are lacking No booking management system and he throws out a random date to bring it in for service without taking your name. He has no invoicing and lacks communication skills. Most recently I took my Yukon in for service for one thing and they didn't fix it and said they didn't have time to figure it out despite telling me when to take it in. Months later I returned for the work and they did many things without a quote and without my consent. Often times I do my own work on my vehicles and am very aware he gouged me on the price and blamed me for their error. It doesn't take 3 hours to replace break pads yet that's what he charged. To add injury to insult they didn't even look at the initial repair I came in for in the first place. This guy is rather incompetent in managing a business.

Totally disorganized and lacks the skills to effectively manage a business. No appointment times set up. No invoicing and avoids discussing price. He did repairs on my vehicle I never received a price before the work and totally fabricated the hours. Charging me three hours to replace a wheel hub is insane and even worse that there was an additional 90 mins to install break pads and rotors when that takes me 30 mins per wheel at home. After years of tying to support a local business its not worth hearing this guy say he didn't have time to get to something despite having my car there for a week on a time he told me to come in for service. Providing a quote for approval is pretty standard in every business but not at Al's

Was traveling from Colorado to take my YXZ to Winchester Bay, had an issue in which resulted finding a part that was discontinued. After reaching out to a few others, Alan Anderson was strongly recommended. My search was over as he had the exact part I was after. Excellent individual, very knowledgeable to other inquiries I had. However, he has earned another life long customer. He's got you covered!Service: Auto engine tuning

Dropped off car in September to be diagnosed. Just had it towed away a few days ago, it was never diagnosed and I'm tire of getting the run around. Luckily for us it was an extra car, but enough is enough. One employee besides himself, severely understaffed.Service: Electrical repair

Well, it took 4 days and two phone calls on our part before a diagnostic plan. Then another two days with no call and when we called and left another message were were coming to get the un-fixed truck, dude was dismissive and rushed to get us out of the shop. I had to dig for information about what they did. Al's was awesome 4 years ago with our car. Something has changed and it saddens me because they were great in the past. Please go somewhere else AL wants to get his sandrails working instead of taking care of commitments.

While I was not overly impressed with Al's customer service or how he he clearly steered away from wanting to discuss the costs on the bill, the most irritating part of my interaction was his lack of concern for his customer's vehicle. One of his guys parked my car a block away from the shop and did not lock the vehicle. They parked it at about 3:53 pm and I did not arrive until a few minutes before 5:00 pm (about an hour). When I let him know that it had been left unlocked, he told me that it had "literally" just been parked. I told him that it hadn't literally just been parked because I had walked from that direction and not seen anyone drop it off. He replied to say that it had been parked right after our last phone call (which ended at 3:52 pm). I then repeated to him that it had not been parked literally just now. Instead of simply admitting the mistake, he brushed it off and wouldn't respond to my complaint. That will be the last time they see any of my vehicles.

Am very grateful to have Uncle Al's Auto shop nearby - they are trustworthy, professional, and reliable. Won't want to trust my car to anyone else!

I live 1 mile from this shop, and I stopped in the other day because I heard good things about it. This is my limited experience. When I walked in there was a young man at the counter who told me that the owner was on a phone call. I told him about the vehicle I need repaired. It's probably a $500-$1000 job. He took down all the details and told me that "Al" would contact me by phone to set up an appointment in about 10-15 minutes. That was 2 days ago. Will I go back there? No. Will I find another shop that wants my business? Yes. That's it.

Uncle Al is a con artist and will charge you for things he doesn't do. he won't communicate with you he'll hold onto your car for days and won't give estimates even if you asked him multiple times. I highly recommend you take your car elsewhere unless you want to be taken advantage of. He also left my car unlocked outside of his shop...
