Wow for a 1 star hotel this place was CLEAN!!!! The manager on duty was so polite and helpful. We were riding from CA to OR and just needed a quick clean place to shower and sleep and usually inexpensive places are dumps but not this place! Yes it’s older but nothing is in disrepair. The linens are clean and not ratty. They sheets appear new and freshly washed. The room was not only clean but smelled clean too. My flip flop accidentally got kicked under the nightstand and when we got it out it was CLEAN!! Usually under and behind is a nightmare at cheap places! If there was an award for 1 star hotels this owner should get it and the housekeeping staff is awesome! Only negative the pillows were flatter than my liking but hey some people like flat pillows. At least they were CLEAN!!!

This place was super clean and comfortable. It was perfect for a place to sleep for a few hours before we headed on our way. The man at the counter was super friendly. I wish all cheap hotels were like this.

Great room for a great price! This motel deserves a much higher rating! The beds were comfortable, showers were hot, and the room has a/c. The attention to detail in the room shows that the owners are trying hard to give customers a good experience, and it didn't go unnoticed. I would stay here again, and I would recommend a stay to friends traveling.

The owner/person working at reception was super nice and friendly, and I liked Grants Pass/the general area. But my room had an extra door in it, leading to the room next door- it was locked, obviously, but I honestly didn’t feel very safe as a solo female traveler knowing that there was an extra door into my room. Also, the AC was a bit noisy. It was ok, not terrible, but I wouldn’t stay again due to the extra door into the room

We woke up with ants all over our bed and night stand and the lady tried to sayvit was because my mom had a bottle of squirt on the night stand that had its lid on it! We won't be back.

Shower was dirty with hair from previous guests left all over it. And I never received my refundable deposit that I was supposed to have.

I agree with another reviewer that Discovery Inn has clean and comfortable rooms and bathrooms. The outside is a bit rough at first sight but don't judge a book by its cover. The woman who checked me in was friendly and efficient and it was nice to find a room that you need for a night that isn't overpriced. Kudos to Discovery Inn. I recommend!Food & drinks: Safeway is nearby and many restaurants.Noteworthy details: EV Charging, Electrify America, close by at the Walmart parking lot.

The room was very clean, comfortable, and the hotel is in really convenient location that makes it easy to walk to the restaurants in the town center. The place far exceeded my expectations and I would stay there again if I was passing through Grants Pass in the future.

It's low rating here is unfair which made me hesitate to book at first. We got a king bed for a very good price compared with those of nearby hotels of the same sort. Very clean room and spacious, nice furnishing and comfortable bed. Bathroom big and nice towels. The staff was very helpful. Best value. Highly recommend.

Ignore the bad reviews dating back to some years ago... The room we had was super clean, renovated, and there was nothing to complain about. The location is great within walking distance from the main streets. The first Friday of every month is a great time to be there, there are bands playing in every corner of the town or in stores. There is a nice little Mexican grocery store within walking distance that is worth paying a visit to, very convenient and very nice people!

Clean and inexpensive. No trouble with late, no reservation check-in.Funny story. The "vacancy" light was on and the parking lot had open spaces. The clerk told me we have no rooms -- meaning we have no single rooms. I said that's OK, I only needed one bed and I was charged for the single rate as I promised to use only one bed. In the morning, I thought about making up the bed I slept in so they wouldn't know which set sheets to wash. Couldn't be bothered.
