Buyer please use extreme caution, this dealership is knowingly deceptive.
I am a single Mom and disabled vet who spent the gas money to drive 130miles to look at a Honda crv they currently have on the lot.
I took it for a test drive. It drove great and looked great on the surface. So I pulled into auto zone to have a leak under the hood...
Oil looked brand new, too new almost, and the dip stick looked burnt. So I smelled the oil, which smelled very strongly of gas... Uh oh, cracked head gasket? Better look under the cap of the oil reservoir... Sure enough, milky white.
I get back to the dealership and hand Larry the keys. He asks how I liked the car. I told him I loved it that it's a beautiful car and everything I was looking for, except for that the engine is about to blow.
Shocked and bewildered, he asked me to show him what I was talking about. So I did. He innocently stated that no one had brought this to their attention before and he was shocked to see this... And then he said sometimes moisture can get in the oil and cause a little white under the cap... I politely said no. There is clearly gas and water here, this engine is gone. Period. So he turned around, saying he had to go talk to his boss and quickly left into the office and shut the door- clearly not expecting me as a little single woman to know better than to be taken advantage of.
I'm vigilant because this isn't my first time around the block. Looking for a used car in my price range opens me up to being a target to unload some heap onto. It's happened to me enough that I know better...
Folks, 14,000 dollars might not be a whole lot to some people, but after putting 3k down and signing for a loan on that vehicle, just to have the engine blow in a matter of days would have been a financial catastrophe for me. My whole world, my credit, everything I've saved, all of it would have crumbled while trying to maintain a household and job, and raise my Son.
Let me tell you... The issue with that motor did not just happen. I have never seen a Honda crv with a 4 cylinder have a tow package. It only had a 120ish thousand miles. This car has been known to go well past 300k. Someone towed something too heavy. The engine over heated, as seen in the burnt dipstick. It cracked the head gasket which leaked gas into the oil, and water.... Possibly even more water got involved due to the pressure washing cover up job the did to conceal this... The fact that the engine was sparkling clean and the oil looked like it was just poured means they definitely without a shadow of a doubt, knew exactly what was up.
This practice is deceptive and in fact, it is predatory. The prey is a single woman who looks like she doesn't know anything. I was just a girl excited about finding a reliable car in my price range.... Had I not known any better, thanks to a stranger who showed me for sure what I was seeing, I would have went broke getting that car and then would have been destitute without a vehicle when it blew up.
Be cautious. Be smart. Stay aware.

Not sure where to start with this awesome buying experience from Scott .
1st- I had called Scott to see if this FJ was still available and luckily for myself it was - Scott sends over many photos of the undercarriage per request and even sends a couple pics of tiny spots on a seat that a previous person had complained about , this thing is a 2012 so of course I’m not expecting perfect so it didn’t bother me one bit .
2nd - Scott had told me to call when we were coming to look at it and he would hold it for us so we didn’t waste our time and sure enough he did and had it sitting out front for us is when we arrived .
3rd - This one is a lesson ALL dealerships need to learn by - he gave us the keys to test drive it and basically says “ Bye” have fun !!
He didn’t hop in with us and limit us to a 5 minute test drive - as a matter of fact we got back after Atleast 20 minutes and I said
“ Damn I should’ve taken it on the freeway more “ and he throws the keys back to me and says “ Bye , we close at 5:30 “ and it was only 3:00 .
4th - on that last drive we found a massive wind noise that’s apparently known on these FJ’s so Scott calls a local glass shop and sets up an appointment for it to get fixed at their cost !!!
5th - For proof about my reason number 1 - we were there waiting on paperwork to get complete and a young couple comes in off the street to test drive a vehicle and then 15 minutes later a gentleman comes to buy that same vehicle that had called earlier in the day about it but DID NOT tell Scott he was coming by to look at it so of course Scott can’t hold it if he’s unaware that the gentleman is coming.
He comes to Scott and says ( I’m here for this SUV with cash to buy ) and Scott says - I’m sorry I have a couple doing paperwork on it as we speak so I can’t let you test drive it until we know their status !!! ( Lesson learned - CALL SCOTT 🤣) !!
For any folks writing a “ Bad review “ on this place I’m going to guess your nickname is
“ Karen “ because this place is awesome and it’s been in business for 33 years !!
I have been in the car business for over 30 years myself and have seen businesses come and go quickly for shady shit but you don’t last 33 years and do “ Shady Shit “ !!!
Thanks again Scott and Quality cars !!!

Buyer beware! I guess we live in a day and age where you can't take an individuals word and a handshake does not mean what it used to. We found our mini Cooper here and we're so excited. We test drove it and seemed in excellent shape for year. We asked the car history and we're told by sales staff it had been cared for and repair history etc and the owners wife just loved the car so they almost did not sell! We worked to get ourselves where we could purchase, and did. After having 2 weeks driving up pass to Klamath Falls check engine light came on. Went and ran quick check on codes. Brakes at 3% life! And transmission needs replaced. Like really? A safety issue beyond. We are now having to basically get a new engine and brakes. Will never do business with them again. And recommend you have diagnostic testing done before you buy any vehicle from them. We were sold a lemon sadly. And what we are paying could have just paid cash for a quality vehicle.

I bought a 2013 nissan from them at 98,000 miles and i bought warranty that the guy recommended “this is the one i got for my wife”. The car had a transmission recall that wasn't fixed and has been a lemon every since. Oh and wouldn’t you know that fancy warranty wouldn't even pay for the transmission. So yeah of you want the worst deal of a lifetime n be paying for something you cant drive forever go here.

I purchased a 2019 Dodge Durango here in 2024. We love the vehicle. We had a decent experience purchasing the vehicle and the sales guy was easy to deal with and appeared honest. In and out pretty quick.
On purchases, I noticed an oil leak around the oil pan. Most likely gasket issue. I asked for a new gasket to be placed, with the purchase of the vehicle.
Dropped the Durango off a couple of weeks later for the repair. I thought the silicone around the pan seemed odd, but I’ve never owned a car newer than an 08 and I am far from a mechanic.
It started leaking again, leading me to think that there could be more of a problem than just the gasket. On a trip through the Car Wash and Oil Change, a nice young kid mentioned the leak and bizarre silicone wrapped around the oil pan.
The kid says to me, “it looks like someone didn’t want to replace a gasket maybe and thought they could just put silicone on it.”
So I immediately call Quality Cars with my concern that I got scammed on a new oil gasket. They investigated, and reported that they did make a mistake not specifically requesting that new gasket and instead requested the mechanic “repair the leak.”
I am apprentice of Quality Cars honesty here. They stated the mechanic “tightened the bolts, and added the layer of silicone.” Their mechanic did not replace the gasket as I requested.
They offered to let me bring the vehicle back down at any time to replace the gasket. Reasonable i suppose. But after speaking with my own mechanics, I didn’t feel comfortable brining in my vehicle to a place that would do such a ghetto repair to begin with.
I called and asked them to allow me to take the vehicle to another reputable mechanic in town to have the work completed, on their dime. They said they were unable to do this, and I could only return to their mechanic.
Not a chance. I YouTubed it, and did it myself.

Made the 230 mile drive from McMinnville to Grants Pass on July 24,2025 to check out a 2000 Cadillac Escalade that was advertised on FB marketplace. I would highly recommend these guys to anyone who is in the market for a previously enjoyed vehicle. Great price, very easy to work with. The car was exactly as advertised and was in great condition as they had told me. No surprises when I arrived. Definitely was worth the drive. I would buy from them again!

My experience with Scott at Quality Cars was amazing! My trusty subaru blew a head gasket and made it to where I desperately needed a new car. My fiance and I were first time buyers and Scott helped us get the car we wanted with ease, and was supportive, kind, and didn't pressure us at all. Thank you so much!

Very professional staff at Quality Cars of Grants Pass. They treated to a very honest appraisal of an inherited Acura SUV.
They have a laid back approach to auto sales which very rare in this business. Once the legal dust settles. I will consider buying my replacement vehicle from Quality Cars GP

I just want to thank Larry and his team for helping me purchase a safe reliable vehicle for mother and sister. We bought it sight unseen and trusting the information being presented to us. Thank you again for going the extra mile (literally) in the delivery of their car. They are happy with their purchase!

Just bought a commuter car for a great deal and the salesman was super responsive and handled all the paperwork while we went shopping. I mentioned an issue with the windshield seal and they were quick to order a replacement seal to fix the issue. I recommend 10 out of 10.

I recently bought a new car for the family from here. Larry and his boss have been really good to me and helped me with any questions or concerns I’ve had and made purchasing a new vehicle a simple, no pressure endeavor which I greatly appreciate. They have good cars for a fair price and I would recommend them to anyone looking for a car. One of the better experiences I’ve had with a car lot.

Scott handle us getting the car. Everything seemed all right initially, but then I was driving for work the next day and the engine light came on. I went back to them on Tuesday. Even though the car was officially sold “As Is”, Scott, Larry, and Brian all did their utmost to make the situation right with me. It's easy for people to have great customer service when everything is going smooth. The folks over at Quality Cars showed that not only do they want to offer quality cars, but a high quality overall experience.

Larry and the guys at Quality Cars are the best! They went above and beyond to help me out. Finding the perfect truck at a price I could afford seemed impossible. But they worked their magic and made it happen with a decent APR, I'm so glad I chose to go there. Now I'm cruisin' in style!

I bought my Mazda from Quality Cars, 5 yrs ago. Just a few days ago, I traded in the Mazda in for a Jeep Wrangler. My salesman, Scott, is the absolute best! He bent over backwards to help me. Actually everyone that works there is QUALITY and work with you! I will always do business with Quality Cars. They never have Lemons and are honest! ♥️
