Friendly staff where I never feel like I’m being judged. Been coming here for over 6 years buying my first rifle when I turned 18 and my first pistol when I turned 21. I never knew anything about guns back then but was give. Good guidance and advise both times. They got free beer too ??

Only real gun shop in the area. Unlike the complete pigs at Keith’s who know nothing about firearms and give opinions while relying on Gresham pd contracts to stay afloat, AFT is the exact opposite. I’m a millennial and a combat veteran. The staff here is younger, most of them served and they are on the cutting edge of what’s new. They are not into pushing brands because of special incentives. The staff will order you anything and not mark it up as punishment. If you are not competent in gunsmithing, they will help square away your problems. If you are a woman, and want another women’s opinion, they have that covered as well. My entire family got their CHL done here. The class is in depth while fun and fresh. If you want to be apart of the community, they hold tons of events to support competent/safe shooters. You won’t see any of the boomer soap box stuff with this team.

Just want to give a huge thank you to the Advance firearm team. Specifically Carter, it was my first time purchasing a gun and once I told him he literally went above and beyond to assist me he literally made sure that I felt comfortable with this purchase took the time to educate me with any question I had. I kid you not if you’re a first time gun owner i highly highly recommend purchasing from here just let them know it’s your first time purchasing a gun and the whole squad literally go out of their way to make you feel comfortable and are excited for you. They literally lit up when I told them I was a first time buyer. Carter even took the time and gave me a demonstration of how to operate the gun. Literally leaving the store feeling more knowledgeable. I will definitely be back as i grow in my knowledge of firearms.

This is probably the friendliest firearms dealer I have ever dealt with. First they are in edible knowledgeable and helpful. Whether you are experienced or inexperienced they meet you where you are.
Their customer services above and beyond what I expect. They have never failed to answer my questions and even when I have custom work they are incredibly quick to respond.
Their events are incredible. Last weekend I went to one of their range days and shot some incredible pistols, met with a custom builder who answered my equipment questions and had the opportunity to get shooting advice from an Olympic champion shooter who helped me make adjustments to my fundamentals.
My only regret is that I cannot give them a higher rating than 5 stars.

Thanks! >>> Update I recently picked up a Kustomworx 1911 from AFT. Beautiful work of art that you can shoot. Locally made in Troutdale. Highly recommend this store and Kustomworx. Smoothest slide and trigger I have ever felt on a 1911. Beats Wilson Combat, LB, EB, you name it. Great pistol made the way you want it.

Always friendly and helpful, even when they are busy -- which is more than I can say for the other place in town. They've bent over backwards to provide good service. Great customer service all around.

Wish I could give these guys 6/5 stars… The absolute real deal of guns and knowledge. Staff is friendly and helpful but most of all VERY competent. Wish more shops could be like these guys. Thanks for all the help and conversation.

Everyone in this store is so helpful , they helped me fix multiple guns. I would recommend them for all sales and gunsmith issues. The owner and employees are all family related.

They dont discriminate you just because your 19 not 21 so far best store ive been to and they have a wide seletcion of highly rated and high quality rilfes shotguns and pistols 10/10 will comeback again for futrue purchases
