They were nice to work with but unfortunately you should not trust Bumbleebee Batteries. I bought a refurbished Honda Civic Hybrid battery from them last year. It's the car I drive only when I visit home, and after a nightmare of sending my old battery back to them after the install (they tried picking it up from the wrong location at least 4 times), I've probably driven <300 miles on the new "refurbished" battery and now my check engine light is back on with deteriorated battery status. It's now out of warranty because it's been over a year, but with this few miles driven on their product, it should have lasted much longer. Extremely disappointing. Really bummed about trusting this company and wasting so much money. I have to call them a scam which I've never had to say about a company before :/ Go elsewhere, it's not worth the money you think you'd be saving buying from this battery provider. Really wish they'd provide me a solution and stand by their work.

Now that I am going through the warranty process it is clear I should have just paid the extra to get the battery replaced at the dealership. I waited 8 whole weeks for the company to finally schedule the repair (the battery lasted almost 2.5 years and had a 5 year warranty). During that time it was very difficult to get anyone to communicate or provide updates even waiting an entire week to get back to me on one occasion). The replacement was put in 4 days ago but my 12v battery was dead and I was told there was a problem with the "charging system". Today I jump started the car and lo!, the IMA light is STILL ON!!!!! I've been trying to contact them since Tuesday since the dealership suggested I make sure the updates had been done when the new battery was installed to troubleshoot the 12v battery (I was going purely off of information given to me by the tech who replaced the battery). No response to any texts, they don't answer the phone, I tried emailing the two addresses listed on the site and got mailer daemon for both. At the moment, after 2 months of being without a car to have to see that IMA light still on is crazy. Just spend the extra and get your repair done at the dealership.

Would be nice if they responded to emails. Emails were sent to the sales@bumblebeebatteries address provided on the site.

I ordered a battery for my 2005 Ford escape hybrid, and the customer service was superb. They called me after I placed my order and confirmed the details with me. The shipping was top-notch white glove service. I would buy from bumblebee batteries again in a heartbeat.

I called and ordered a battery about 3 weeks ago, offered to pay while I had her on the phone. She replied "no, you'll receive a link to pay." No mention of prepay. I immediately received an order confirmation, and a copy of the warranty.... no link for payment... so I had assumed I pay when the battery is ready to ship. Today, I get a text saying they're still waiting for prepayment, I reply I never received a payment link. They haven't even begun the process of getting my battery ready. Three weeks waiting to hear the battery is ready to ship, and they haven't even started it. If the service is this bad at the very beginning, I think I'll go somewhere else before spending $3,000.

I am deeply disappointed with the experience I had with Bumblebee Batteries. My battery replacement failed about one month after the warranty expired. Instead of addressing the problem or offering a proper investigation, they provided a canned response simply suggesting I purchase another one of their batteries. I've tried to keep the conversation going to find an amicable resolution and they stopped responding. The timing of the failure, right after the warranty expiration, raises concerns about the quality and reliability of their product. The lack of customer service and the company's unwillingness to look into the issue further has left me feeling undervalued as a customer. The suggestion to buy a new product without addressing the underlying issue is both dismissive and disappointing.Overall, my encounter with Bumblebee Batteries has been marked by complete disregard for customer satisfaction and a lack of willingness to address legitimate concerns. I hope that by sharing my experience, others can make informed decisions and consider alterative options.Update: This update is in response from the owner. While my review has prompted a response from the owner, they still have not responded to my direct email about the warranty issue that I sent prior to this issue. Despite my attempts to reach a resolution through email, they have not acknowledged or addressed my concerns regarding the warranty expiration and subsequent product failure. While I appreciate the offer to investigate the matter and find a resolution, the lack of communication raises doubts about their commitment to satisfaction. It's disheartening I had to resort to posting a public review to elicit a response rather than through direct channels of communication. In the time since my initial review, I took the initiative to replace the battery elsewhere due to the urgency of the situation and lack of timely assistance.I will update this review if Bumblebee Batteries eventually addresses my concerns regarding the warranty issue and provides a suitable resolution.

After a month of breaking in and driving around to see how well it works, I now can review our new battery from BumbleBee. We ordered it from the state of Oregon. We ordered it from Jessica, we confirmed cost with Jamie, and dealt with the shipping with Jose. Jose also found an installer in Los Angeles to exchange the batteries when the new one arrived. (Would his name begin with a J?) Nah! His name was Len! Big, courteous, and a busy hard worker. Had the backseats out and the new battery in in about an hour--like he said. He also packed up the old core and put it into the car! I could take it right away to the UPS store. Every move of this situation ran smoothly and seamlessly. My 2004 Honda Hybrid Civic is ready for the next chapter in it's running! I have no hesitation in recommending this Bumblebee Battery Co. for a great product and professional service and will gladly give them a 5 out of 5 stars! P.S. It sailed thru it's Smog test the next week! (with lights off) Thanks BBee! Valinda

Stay away from these guys. They are in the middle of a reorganization and apparently their customer service and quality control has suffered as a result. I ordered a DC/DC Inverter from them for a 2013 Honda Civic. It lasted about a week then died again. Now they are trying to get out of a warranty exchange, saying it's my MPI and not my inverter. But according to their website it comes as a complete assembly: Free Shipping. No Core Fees. We are now carrying the Inverter and DC/DC Assembly for the Honda Civic Hybrid 2012-2015. These parts have been meticulously rebuilt and tested for your peace of mind. They come preassembled with the DC/DC, inverter, and computer for easy installation. The MPI is the computer. Then when I try to call them about it, you can't get ahold of them. they say they are closed, and it's 3 PM on a Wed. afternoon. Buy from GreenTec instead, their prices are a little higher, but so is their customer service and quality control.

Service was fine, until it came to the CORE deposit refund. Seems that Bumblebee has been taken over by Green Bean- and they refuse to fulfill the contract to refund the deposit as was stated in the original contract.

Getting in contact with someone is more difficult than it should be. Expect to be on hold for 10-30 minutes if you give them a call. If you choose to leave a message, no one will get back to you. The online chat isn't actually an instant online chat, it looks like it automatically sends them an email but again, don't expect an email back. I was able to get my question answered but the process to get a simple question answered is a trek. I had initially reached out to them in January 2022 about getting sent a new hybrid battery under warranty and they told me they had a delay with the freight shipments which makes sense but I didn't receive the battery until OCTOBER 2022. My car started to crap out a few weeks ago and luckily not months ago where I would've been out of luck. So if you need a battery asap I hope you get one a LOT sooner than I did. I had reached out intermittently throughout the year about the status and NO ONE answered the entire time. The only notification I got was from Fedex letting me know I had a shipment coming at the beginning of October. I even tried finding the email interactions from January '22 and I cannot find them whatsoever which is super odd and it's as if they were retracted because I know I did not delete them... The only good thing is that they were able to pause my warranty while I waited for the battery to come in since my warranty was supposed to end March of 2022. **Update: I received an email letting me know there was a transfer of ownership lately so things fell through the cracks during that time. It's good to know the reasoning behind why no one was answering but I feel like multiple months is way too long for customer service to be down.

When I learned that my hybrid battery had died and that the dealer could replace it with a new one for $11k, I thought my car was a goner. But then it occurred to me that there must be workable used batteries in need of new homes - which led me to do a Google search. I found there are services that will swap out dead hybrid batteries with refurbished hybrid batteries - for 1/4-1/3 the price of a new one. To wrap this up, Bumblebee Batteries is located a few blocks from my dealer. Their communication and service were excellent - and my car's back on the road!
