Things were going okay until I went to pay and the cashier asked if I qualified for the senior discount and I'm only 40 and I still get carded. I think I'm going to go cry now 🥺

I enjoy Goodwill, often I come and find things I need or a few things I want, and I leave with some money still in my pocket. No returns, only credit. The last few years-change is interesting.
Today I came and found things I need, but not what I was there to search for. I am grateful to be able to have somewhere I can find second-hand instead of buying brand new. It feels good to rehome things rather than purchase things when it's definitely in a thrift store somewhere! All you gotta do is search, and you will find!

My wife forgot her wallet while she was in the toilet having our toddler with her changing him.
she forgot her wallet in the restroom.
There was a wonderful lady who took the wallet and gave it to the manager there at the register.
Soon while we still were shopping my wife realized that her wallet was not in her pocket and freaked out started sweating and hyperventilating
She went to one of the guys maybe one of the managers there he cross checked with the lady at the register, she saw my wife held her hand and calmed her down asked my wife’s name to confirm.
She literally ran to the room and got the wallet and handed it to her, my wife started to cry
All of the staff were so kind and patient with us and this is one of the cleanest goodwill I say and the staff is very kind and helpful!! 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

Not a 100% sure it qualifies as a jacket but it's my new 3rd favorite anyways.

I love Goodwill in Portland, OR. It is a great place to get discounts clothing & so many interesting choices to check out for Holiday shopping for family presents. It also saves on Holiday budget so as to not over spend.

They do not treat your donation with care. Supervisor/Manager Kristy was extremely rude over the phone. I suggest just going somewhere else for your donation.

Retail prices, second hand items, really disappointing. Friendly staff.

The staff is pleasant and the store is reasonably well organized but they have lost their minds with prices. I am not going back and will not be donating any more items

I came by this morning to drop off great baby and kids items and was turned away at he donation doors by the worker who said he was going into a team meeting and couldn't take my one box of items, asif it was a huge inconvenienceto him..... what?!?!
Tell me you don't need the donations, without telling me you don't need them.
Do the community a favor and drop off your gently used items at a local spot! There are PLENTY of locally owned and decently priced thrift stores to donate to.

The level of rudeness and unwillingness towards donations was out of the roof at this place. We have decided to “donate” 4 of our used and mint condition dinning chairs and was turn away stated in there own words “that the chairs have to be slight used to NO stain on the chair for them to accept it.” I like really so you’re tell me that for you to accept the chair they will need to be somewhat new?
You’re a donation place, the chairs that I was going to donate to you guys were a better condition than the one you have inside your store.
This is the reason why I refuse to donate my goods to your guys. Why help you guys make money. I’ll just put a free sign for grab and less then a few hours my good condition chairs went to another without spending a penny to a place that clearly don’t know the definition of donation mean.

What can I say it's goodwill.
They love looking a free horse in the mouth
They enjoy their slave labor
and a sense of entitledmentthat could only be surpassed by a barista with a philosophy major degree.
overpriced used clothing store at this point.
Go to Ross, cheaper and new.

The staff is always amazing and I'm in the at least once a week for jewelry jar hunting. I bought one tonight for 99.99. you might think ohh something nice maybe well over half the jar was broken pieces and the other half was temu and shein jewelry plus a who bunch of single earrings. It was very sad for 100.00. I've never spent that much on a jar let alone gotten screws , safety pins, broken and literally garbage jewelry I won't wear. I know it's a gamble but in 5 years buying never been so disappointed.

Dropping off donations should be a frictionless and uneventful transaction -- drive up, hand over your donation, and take the receipt. I appreciate the work these folks do, so I thank them but expect no interaction on their part. Whatever they say or not is entirely up to them.Another thing I didn't expect was the level of rudeness I experienced at this location. I'm politely handing my donations, so don't bark orders at me. Don't roughly rummage through my organized box of donations as though I'm handing over garbage. Don't make rude and sarcastic comments. And don't treat me differently than anyone else. The first time I experienced this level of rudeness, I chalked it up to the person having a rough day (you never know the battle someone is waging internally). But it's been the same in two other instances. From now on, I will take my donations somewhere else.

Gresham location staff is very nice. However, you can't take carts out of the store itself without wheels locking up. You have to have an associate let you into the bathroom since they now have key coded locks on them. They can't tell you the code, they have to waste their time walking you over to the bathroom. They are also the only location in the area that still does not open their fitting rooms at all. Did not think this location was a high crime or big transient area that required this level of security.
