I hadn't had a total re-style in over a decade and I met with Julie McCalmont at Sunrise Salon and told her what I was thinking of doing and she added her expertise and the result was exactly what I wanted. I've received tons of compliments on my new hair and I love it. It took less than two hours to cut, color, highlight and style!

I had Julie to do my hair and she did such a beautiful job!! She also got me 2 servings of the most delicious coffee I've ever had outside of a coffee shop! She has such wonderful conversations through the whole appt. ❤️

i don’t usually get my hair cut professionally because i’ve had no-so-good experiences so i was a little weary, but Cathy gave me a beautiful haircut; went in with straight hair, came out with a cute shaggy/bombshell hair style. im very pleased with her results and am definitely going back :)

I lost my long-time hair person, so had to try someone new. Today got a haircut, layering, and highlights to blend with my gray "highlights", by April. She was fantastic, took the time to listen to what I wanted and explain the options and variations. I am very pleased with the result and will be going back to her. She is skilled and personable!

Me and my friend went in for two hair cuts today and we had Cathy. I had asked for a trim, she barely washed my hair and also put conditioner in my roots... you aren't supposed to do that btw. She then cut LITERALLY one piece of hair and she asked if I wanted a blow dry and style and I said no because it costed extra, and me and my friend switched. For my friend she also asked for a trim, layers and face frames. There are no layers in her hair and her face frames are COMPLETE BLOCKS. Not blended together whatsoever. Overall a bad experience(.)

Julie is amazing!! Listened to everything I asked for and delivered 100%! I have fine, but thick hair; she knew exactly how to treat it and what layers to put where. My hair looks so much healthier and the haircut was exactly what I wanted! She also gave me a great tip on coloring my blonde, so it doesn't look brassy. I will come back !

This is the best service I've ever received. The professionalism is second to none. I highly recommend choosing this Salon over any other. It feels as if everything they do is filled with love and passion. The neighborhood is very lucky to have Sunrise here. I feel truly blessed. Thanks to the entire crew.

Cathy did my hair. It looked marvelous it took 10 years off me. She washed styled cut put color on. She was wonderful she asked what I wanted and we discussed step by step. I went home and was unable to do like she did after 5 days. I called her she said come in and I will show u how to do the style . She took the time to help train me on what to do. When I asked how much I owed she said nothing it was important for her to know that I knew what to do. I insisted it took her time and she should get paid for her time. I just left her the money anyway. She is the best hairstylist and colorer I have ever been too. I will be back

I go to Jo for Tattoo Removal. She is the only person I can find in the Portland area using the tattoo gun Method not the laser. Although she is trained in laser removal as well.The tattoo removal with the needle is much less painful than a laser. I highly recommend going in for a free consultation if you have tattoos you want to get rid of. The process takes some time but it’s working even after the first and second sessions.Thanks so much Jo! Hopefully this helps anyone thinking about getting a tattoo removed. I’m happy that mine is finally going away for good.

Cathy is an incredible hair stylist, she colored my hair exactly how I wanted it better than I even asked for, or knew that I wanted! She’s amazing, well priced, very kind and, wants to see a smile on your face before you walk out the door. Would recommend her 10/10!!

I had Kathy treat my hair with a straightening treatment. It turned out amazing. For years I was so terrified to let anyone touch my hair, I didn’t trust anyone. Kathy made me feel so comfortable talked me through the entire process and was a complete joy to work with. I recommend her to anyone wanting color or any sort of intense treatment to there hair especially if they are nervous in any way.
