I am heartbroken and I will never get a fish from here again. I had an established tank everything was going great my fish were healthy and happy. I saw a beautiful healthy looking red halfmoon betta had to give him a nice home. Then asked The girl in fish department to get me a three tetras. She seemed annoyed like I was inconveniencing her and was rough with a fish by the time I got home one of them was dead and then the other two had ICK! WITHIN A WEEK MY TANK WAS INFECTED AND EVERY FISH DIED ALL OF THEM!!! I spent over 40 dollars on treatment ALONE but it was too late. THIS MAKES ME SO SAD!

5 stars to this store and Nikki! She is an expert when it comes to finding the right treats. I have a dog who is allergic to grains ,chicken and salmon oil and had lost all hope of finding the right stuff but she helped me find 4-5 items which were a total hit with both my dogs! 100% recommended you go to this store, she is so helpful and patient!

I went to the Petco on Burnside in Gresham today and the sales associate refused to sell me a goldfish. She wanted to know what type of tank I have before she would sell me the goldfish. I told her I was going to give it away and she said we are not allowed to give live animals as gifts. Never heard of such thing. She still refused to sell me the fish until I can show or tell her what tank I was going to use. She showed me some small tanks on the shelves in the store and she doesn’t understand why Petco even carries those tanks. I am not getting the fish for free . I will pay for the fish, what I do with the $.49 fish is my business.
I would like to know from people who have purchased fish before, are you required by the store to have the proper and correct size tank before the store would sell you a fish?

Popped in to pick up a dog name tag for my stained glass German Shepard project. Customer service was excellent and they had a lot of choices to choose from. Sadly I didn't get a picture of the dog with the name tag leaded onto the art preceding before I shipped it to the customer.

First: if you try to get there from Hogan Rd, it's hard to see the turn. It's easier to see from Burnside. It's tricky simply because the streets go at angles and the Petco signs aren't visible from certain directions.
They had plenty of parking spots when we went.
Also, there is only one entrance to the store itself it's the one on the inside, not the door facing Burnside.
When we went it wasn't too busy and there were quite a few staff. We only went to get a specific kind of dog food. My husband thought it was expensive (he usually buys it at other stores for a cheaper price.)
We were able to find what we needed, it was a bit more costly than if we had gone to Walmart or WinCo, but WinCo doesn't always have it. We were happy to find some doggy Advil (which is not normally found at other stores).
The store itself was clean and had all the things you might need for a wide variety of animals. The different areas are clearly labeled, so it's relatively easy to find what you're looking for.
The staff was very helpful.

Fish supplies are good. Don't recommend live fish. They were quarantined both times I went. They don't have a dedicated person for the fish only a person that goes from store to store.
