I originally came to master tech Gresham with a worn out steering lock housing. They said it could possibly take up to 6 months to fix because they had to get a new key code from the manufacturer. They were able to get me up and going again in a little over a month! They also noticed that my serpentine belt needed to be replaced too and suggested that they replace it before they returned it back to me. During the time they had my car I came to the shop on two separate occasions to get something out of my car. On one occasion my rear passenger door was left ajar and on another occasion my drivers side window was left down. And upon return of my car after the initial steering lock housing was fixed and serpentine belt replaced, my car was covered in tree sap from on of the fir trees nearby. Those are the areas I noticed needed improvement (but we all have room for improvement).
A couple months after having my car back I noticed that the steering column cover wasn’t on correctly. I contacted master tech and they said to bring it back in and they would take a look at it. Upon inspection and trying to fix it they said the part was brittle and needed to be replaced. These guys took it upon themselves to get the steering column fixed and they stuck with it until it was fixed correctly even when they were sent the wrong cover and some that were broken from their supplier. They got my car fixed back to how it was before I brought it in. I appreciate everything they did!
I marked overpriced because it was expensive but I also understand the Labor and the situation my car was in. The team at master tech is great and they will ensure the work is done properly

This happened years ago - but after replacing my rear shocks they managed to cross thread multiple lug nuts. I only discovered this because I couldn't get the lug nuts to come off when I went to rotate my tires a few months later. When I contacted Master Tech Automotive they tried to deflect blame and claim it wasn't their fault.
I went elsewhere to get the lug nuts removed and wheel studs replaced.
Why bring this up now? Because at the time I told Master Tech Automotive to never contact me again and to delete my contact information. In 2020 they texted me with promotional material, trying to convince me to do business with them. I again told them to remove my contact information. Today - Thanksgiving 2025 - they AGAIN texted me with promotional material. This time they claim to honor an opt-out by sending them 'STOP' , which I've done. We shall see if they forget in a few years and contact me again.

Cordial staff but the prices are incredible. They asked for a price three times what I paid at another facility. There was no justification for it whatsoever. I also tried once prior for another service and their prices were about 50% more than another facility that time as well. Unfortunate.

Master Tech was able to get me a diagnostic for my car right away. While the diagnosis was not great, they did their best to look out for me and do everything they could to be cost effective and timely. They were very honest and great at explaining everything that was happening.
Edit: Slightly frustrated that I had a full engine rebuild for about $15,000 and still had to replace my own spark plug because they were rusty. The check engine light turned on a week later for it and they said that they could replace them for me for about $400. I would’ve hoped that they would’ve replaced them free of cost (or at least checked them) considering the significant amount that I paid for the rebuilt with the expectation that there should be no other problems.

Had oil changed and fuel system cleaned, because we don’t know if it had ever been done. My wife said her car runs smoother and more powerful now and is really pleased! Happy Wife, Happy Life. Thanks to our MasterTech Team, great job and great service as always! 👍

It’s always difficult to leave a less than positive review, but people need to know that the technicians here are not qualified to work on Mercedes. The last 4 times we took ours in they incorrectly diagnosed the problem or the tech missed a step in the repair. They were always good about correcting, but they should have done it right the first time. Most recently we took it in to repair a washer fluid leak, which the tech said was a leak in the radiator. My husband explained to them the details of when the leak appeared and they wouldn’t acknowledge they had incorrectly diagnosed the issue. We took it somewhere else and sure enough, it was the washer fluid. Not a cheap fix, but less than the radiator. Sad to leave them, but our confidence in their skill level was diminished leaving us no choice.

Master Tech went over and above to find out what was going on with my vehicle. They were very thorough in checking everything out and I appreciate that. They found the issues and took care of them as quickly as they could. I appreciate that they were so friendly and helpful. I know I would not have gotten the detailed service needed had I gone to another shop.

They got my car in very quickly, gave an estimate and payments options - they finished the job in a timely manner! Will definitely go back for any other car troubles.

The first part was not a clear explanation of what to expect during the first call to inquire about an estimate. I needed someone to take a quick look at the specific issue I was inquiring about. Instead I was told to just bring it in and could ido so immediately. I figured it would take a couple minutes to see the simple issue but when I got there was told it would be at least an hour and a half. That is an unnecessary amount of time but at least reasonable. I just was not told ahead of time that this would be the case and I missed more work at my job because of it.
When they finally came to take the car into the shop, I asked what they would be doing. The technician said that they would be doing a full inspection. I had to tell them I didn't have time for that and all I wanted was for the issue to be looked at and a price range to be given. He said that would be fine. I didn't ask for or agree to an inspection. I know that car shops usually will do this and tell you what's wrong with it in the hopes that you will have them fix it for more business.
After the assessment of my issue was determined, they brought me an estimate that had the parts on there double the price that they were from the manufacturer.
I had a check made out to them for the price given. As they fixed the problem, they added another $170 to the bill which we didn't have.
At the end the presented me with the invoice which had all the other things wrong with the car (meaning they had gone ahead and done an inspection anyway). It is our only car and we needed it back asap so doing extra with the inspection that I specifically asked them not to do was time we didn't have transportation. And, of course at the end they asked if I wanted to schedule appointments to get the other issues fixed (wanting to gouge me for more double priced parts).
They seemed very dismissive of my time conserns and were very over priced.

Not trying to hate or anything, service was good. They asked what my concerns were and I said “my cars coolant was depleting fast every time I filled it up. I see white smoke out the exhaust. I don’t see any visible leaks on the ground”. They diagnosed my car to a crack coolant reservoir, I thought it was odd because I never saw any visible leaks. But they said everything looked good and it was topped off and ready to be picked up. Sweet! I drove it to work and I checked under the hood, and all the coolant was gone. I called them back and they said to come back so they can figure it out. I dropped it off and they said “looks like your coolant is leaking to your engine block, possible signs that can happen is white smoke coming out your exhaust and etc.”
I said, “I told you that when you asked me what were my concerns were when I first got here”
He replies “oh you did?”
“Yes it’s even on the receipt you gave me” I replied back
Got quoted 8k to change my head gasket. I’m not even mad about the 8k quote which I saw in my area it’s at most $3500, I’m mad the fact they didn’t read my concerns and did a quick $560 money grab and changed out a “crack” reservoir.
TLTR: they don’t read your concerns throughly
