I booked a room online and paid with my card the very first time there when I got there to check in they refused to rent the room to me stating on was on there do not rent list. I stated I had never been there before she would not listen to me. I said you need to refund my money back to my card and she called the police. Finally she agreed to refund my money. Very very unprofessional person and I'm shocked she's a manager of that place. She barely spoke English and need to learn etiquette and brush up on USA laws not the same as how they run things in Mexico. Very closed minded and overbearing person. Then my son was put up in that motel 6 a few days ago paid by federal housing waiting to get is apt. She just kicked him out because I call there to be connected to his room and she kicked him out and told me I'm banned from there and banned from calling there motel unbelievable. I shut you not true dawn story. Sandi

We weren't the only ones that got locked out, about an hour before check out. (While we were trying to load up car) And when I called the front desk. To get the rest of our stuff (@10:30) she asked if we wanted to stay longer? I said no thank you. ? But, I was thinking why would I? I can't even get what I paid for ? (11:00 check out) and it really didn't bother me that much when housekeeping walked in on me (@10:20) while I was in the bathroom. I thought that housekeeping comes in after you turn in the key??Noteworthy details: The Fridge sucks.

The actual owner of the property is decent to deal with, however the front desk staff needs a serious attitude adjustment. Front desk lady was extremely rude and threatens to call the cops anytime you bring up an inconvenience. Get a new job lady, you have no business dealing with customers with your $hitty demeanor.

Post apocalyptic would be a metaphor here with possibly a bit of incarceration on the side!I hate to judge but I usually dive surf so I can smoke some pot and feel covered so to speak but this place has it plainly posted that they will gladly take your money and throw you out if you dare smoke in their little hostel here! If this was Idaho or if this place was a bit more posh or in a better neighborhood I could see it, but, not!If the place was pot friendly, it could have something going for it but otherwise, not!Alcohol okay. Tobacco okay. Cannabis not?Think of the opportunity not the business expense!Come on!‘We’ll keep the bong lit for ya!’

Customer service great, changed a whole lot for the better. Blessed to have met the people that work here, handled my last minute needs and very kind to our people. Thank you sooo much Mary Lou, Jesus, and Claudia, couldn't have done it without your guys time, patients and understanding.

I had a disappointing experience at Motel 6 Gresham OR, primarily due to their worst behavior during my stay. The front desk lady's rudeness left a lasting negative impression. When I reported that the flush was not working in my room, instead of offering a solution, she asked me to go to McDonald's to use the restroom, which was quite inconvenient.Moreover, I requested extra towels, but she outright refused to provide them, showing a lack of basic hospitality. During checkout, she was particularly mean and unhelpful when I rang the bell for assistance.Adding to the disappointment, the rooms were not clean despite being advertised as non-smoking. There was a weird smell lingering in the room that was unpleasant.Furthermore, many of the amenities promised on their website were not provided during my stay, which was misleading and frustrating.In conclusion, I strongly advise against visiting this motel due to the subpar service and the unprofessional behavior of the front desk lady. My overall experience was extremely unsatisfactory, and I do not recommend staying at this establishment.

We had a very negative experience with the Motel 6 in Gresham, Oregon, beginning with a very rude clerk. I have never been spoken to by someone in the hospitality industry like I was by the clerk at this motel. I don't expect gushing friendliness, but basic courtesy would have been appreciated. We booked four double queen rooms. One was in the name of someone that didn't make the trip with us. We weren't allowed to use that reservation at this Motel 6 (but the Motel 6 in Pendleton was fine letting us use it). He did say that we could book a new room at a substantially higher price. No thanks! The rooms were all booked together using my credit card info. The clerk in Gresham was able to find all of our names and cancel the rooms, even though I hadn't given him the names the other rooms were booked in. He clearly knew they were all booked together, but didn't care if we stayed there or not. In any other situation, it would have been nice to be able to check in, even if the reservation for one of the rooms varied from the original reservation. However, for the Gresham Motel 6, I think it's best that we didn't stay there. I found it strange that we didn't go into a lobby to check in. We had to speak through a small opening in a window – they obviously had a homeless problem in the area, and this window check in was most likely their way of making their lobby off limits to them. I told the clerk that I was having trouble hearing him through the window, and his reply was, "Not my problem". I was floored by his attitude, disrespect, and lack of care over whether we stayed or not. After dealing with him for several minutes, he agreed to cancel our reservations. It caused some stress finding four rooms in another motel for our party of 15, but we were able to book rooms at Quality Inn in Gresham and were greeted in a friendly manner, with clean rooms and a great breakfast. It was definitely a relief to have a safe, clean room to stay in, even if it cost us more than Motel 6. If you're traveling in this area, I would recommend that you do NOT stay at the Gresham Motel 6.

The rooms are huge but lack a coffee maker and any of the wonderful little shampoos. The air conditioning worked well, as did the internet and TV. Staff were kind. Check-in is at 3 pm, and they're not willing to check in even 5 minutes earlier - so time accordingly.

We drove over 2000 miles to stay at Motel 6 in Gresham. We arrived and tried to check in. The younger man running the front desk was horribly rude. We had 4 rooms reserved and he told us that we could not check in to one of the rooms (they were all reserved on the same card) because my son was unable to join us. When we tried to explain we were all together the guy would have none of it. I told him I could call my son & he could let him know we are using his room & he said that we would have to pay double the rate (over $200) to book for 1 day. My mom asked him if he could speak louder because he was standing more than a foot away from the glass & the only part of the window to hear him through was about 3 inches at the bottom. He then told her it's not his problem that she can't hear him & that he was not willing to accommodate us. We had made these reservations MONTHS ago. My mom then asked him why he was being so rude to us when he could clearly see that all the rooms were booked with her card & her billing addres. He looked at her and said I'm not the one with an attitude...pointed to my brother and asked if he was with us & said he would not be helping us any further. This left us stranded with 10 kids trying to find rooms at 7 pm. The customer service was absolutely horrible. The guy running the front office Is purposely running off customers. My mom asked him if she needed to do anything so that she wouldn't be charged since he wouldn't let us check in & he told her nope I cancelled them all. She asked about each person individually (we never gave him our names as we had only given him my sons name first) & he said he cancelled all 4 rooms. The only way he knew who we were was by pulling up her payment info. We have has ZERO issue at any other motel 6 along the way. This guy should not be working in hospitality. He had a huge chip on his shoulder for no reason whatsoever. I would stay away from this motel 6. Not just because of his attitude, but also for the fact that there were several homeless people laying on the sidewalk infront of the hotel & there is a big sign warning you that they are not responsible for any damage to your vehicle or stolen property because if the homeless situation. Steer clear. Fyi. The hotel we were finally able to get rooms at, Said that ok a regular basis they have people coming to them in a similar situation because the guy was rude & refused to let them check in. (They had already had a few people before us have the sane issue)

I usually write reviews when I have a great experience. Most of the time when I have a bad experience I tell myself that whoever is contributing to the bad experience is just having a bad day. This is a review I must leave because the owners need to be aware of how hostile their host is. I had 4 rooms and canceled them all. Immediately went to quality inn. They treated me with respect and hospitality. I paid for 4 rooms there and I was happy that I did. It's worth $20 more per room to be in a welcoming atmosphere. Especially when traveling with family. I don't know how this motel 6 is going to stay afloat with the guy at the front desk taking his personal problems out on the guests. Very strange. Moral of the story is avoid staying here at all cost.

I called 2 Days prior, to asked for a room on the bottom floor. Was told when I check in, the guy at the desk will handle it. Check in time, We told him I was handicapped and couldn't walk the stairs, another lady was blind and needed downstairs , it was hard and painful for me to climb stairs. (we had 3 Rooms, 2 rooms with 3 beds, 1 room with 2 beds), he said, 3 beds are only up stair the 2 beds down. He offered us no other solutions. We said ok. Instead, He gave us all 3 Room upstairs, claiming that is what we asked for, when we confronted him!We came as a church group and I didn't want to ruin our trip.I was upset that when I called two days prior, why the lady did not tell me the 3 Beds are up stairs only rooms! That would have given me a better idea on what I needed to do. So beside climbing the stairs.The rooms was extremely hot, smelled like cigarettes, definitely not ready to relax in at all. Had to turn on the A/c and leave for a few hrs to cool the rooms. The room was clean, the size was great! The beds was definitely low grade spring like mattress. Very hard and uncomfortable! Our door did not lock. Beside just using the key to enter, no other way of extra security once in room.The hall was hot, smelled like cigarettes and Marijuana. My room was to be non smoking . He said it's non smoking room, in a smoking building! Kinda oxymoron.Could be a great motel with the cleanness of the room I was in and the size. Needs maybe a topper for the mattress to make it not so spingy feeling and hard. Definitely needs to be all non smoking.Some of the curtains on the lower floors , outside view was definitely dirty and unattractive to guest looking from the outside. If the curb appeal had cut grass and not over grown. Could have looked like a nice motel. Definitely had good potential!If I was not handicapped and some things I mentioned was done. I'd definitely stay again!However definitely need a front desk person with hospitality, care and concerns even if he didn't have rooms available on the bottom floor, try and offer a solution and atleast show some care. Instead he was cold and kinda like take it or leave it attitude! (He did not say that, just displayed it)

Worst hotel experience. Curly head kid that works the desk is gonna approach the wrong person with his anger and issues. One key per rule per room? This place runs like a low security prison. Stay clear!Best thing is the room alone with being pet friendly.

As far as this writer knows the service is ok. I didn't actually stay here but went out there for a visit with a close friend and his wife therefore I didn't have any interaction with any staff members. They couldn't have picked a better location for this motel, for you are and have access to many restaurants and fast food joints.Rooms: The room that I visited was very large and spacious like you've never seen before in a motel room. Although I wasn't staying here I felt ever secured and safe. The rooms are within a corridor with very sophisticated security locking devices this includes the doors entering the room.

I stayed at the Gresham Oregon location May 18 - 21. The staff were very pleasant and the room was larger than expected. I had no issues and for the price, was a great experience. I was a smoker and got the top floor which I loved. I saw some of the other negative reviews from patrons to this motel. If you want more, go to the Hilton. Thank you Motel 6 for a great experience.Rooms: Clean, lots of ice, great cable networks and very quiet.
