Experience was mostly positive, they were able to get me in same day, and completed the windshield replacement in a reasonable amount of time. It was getting dark when I left and I did not throughly examine the quality of work before leaving. That was my mistake.
Next morning I had a chance to remove the tape and check everything out and that is when I noticed that there was a bunch of adhesive left behind from the original windshield. It was easy enough to take off, but they didn’t bother to clean it up.
I also noticed that in the process of replacing the windshield, part of my windshield trim broke off, and now the edge of the glass is exposed. I feel like this should have been mentioned to me when I was invoiced.
Sent photos and talked to Ed about my concern and was told that if I wanted to buy the replacement trim piece they would install it. Was also told they could use some solvent to clean up the left behind adhesive. I’m going to take care of this myself, as I do not trust them to do it correctly without damaging my paint.
Everything was blamed on the vehicle, it’s because it’s a BMW, it’s because it’s old. It’s because it’s an original windshield and the generic gasket they use wasn’t as big so they could not cover up the residue left from the original.
I’ve used several different glass companies in the past and typically when they damage something they own up to it and offer a solution. I understand my car is a 2007 and plastics become brittle, but these things should be pointed out and not attempted to be swept under the rug hoping the customer doesn’t notice.
When I spoke with Ed, I just said don’t worry about it, I’ll just take care of it. I felt the resistance from our conversation and knew we were not going to accomplish anything.

A year ago, I took in my commuter due to a windshield leak. I was informed that I will need a new windshield since mine would likely break. Work was completed, yet the leak was still there and from the same area. I returned, and the problem was corrected the second time. This repair is still keeping water out. Fast forward to this January 2025 when I took in my truck with a sliding rear window that leaked from the groove that the glass slid in. I asked for a solid (no slider) glass as this was my final leak after a few days of diagnosing other water intrusion at the cab vents and 3rd brake light. A few days after the repair, we had rain, and a new, much faster leak in a new location started. With a water hose flowing only down the area of the leak, the use of a bore scope, and 5-10psi air pressure. I narrowed the leak to the bottom corner. After getting this on video, I made the call back to Mt Hood Glass and was told to stop by. They looked at my video and inspected my vehicle. They used water to show that it did leak and said it was not the window but rather a body seam where parts of the body come together that was the source of the new leak. I do agree that the window is sealed to the truck but in the process of removing the old window and the butyl or urethane sealant, they either cut out the seam sealant or it was pulled out in the preparation for the new window. Either way, I was told this was not their problem but rather mine (the customer). I am not the average customer. After 35 years as an auto tech (customerservice), I retired at 55 and became an engineer in a milk processing plant. Fluid leaks are now a daily focus. Customer service is no longer a daily dance, but I definitely know when it's poor.

Ok, it's not my business, but dude was replacing a window at our tmobile store, mind you the store was open... The worker decided to spark a cigarette 2 feet from our window with his smoke pouring in... Wreaked up our store.... Very unprofessional... Have some decency to walk away.

I have worked with Mt. Hood Glass in the past and was very impressed with their workmanship and reputation in the community. They installed a screen door for me previously, and the quality of their work was top-notch. Their longstanding experience and dedication to craftsmanship are evident, which is why I returned to them for a shower door quote.
However, my recent experience was a bit disappointing. I requested a quote for both a framed and frameless shower door, and I was initially told that the framed version would be more affordable. When the quotes came back, I was surprised to see that the framed option was actually the same price as the frameless one. When I inquired about the discrepancy, the response was simply that the costs were out of their control due to supplier pricing, which I understand to a degree. That said, given their extensive experience, I expected clearer guidance and more accurate predictions up front.
Additionally, there seemed to be a breakdown in communication between Alan, Aaron, and Andy, as each of them provided different information at various points in the process. It was a bit frustrating and left me feeling uncertain about which direction to take.
Mt. Hood Glass is still a great company with a strong reputation, and I would recommend them based on their quality of work. However, clearer communication and more consistent messaging among their team would have made my experience smoother.

NOT AN HONEST COMPANY.. STAY AWAY. See below for my experience.Brought my vehicle in to have the windshield replaced. All seemed well until the very next day after replacement; a crack appeared from the very bottom of the windshield where the wipers are. Brought it back in to have them inspect. The windshield had cracks forming from a chip in the glass that isn't visible to the eye unless you remove the plastic pieces in the gap between the hood & windshield that sit under the wipers. The owner, Aaron, super rude and disrespectful, told me that there's "nothing he can do as these are stress cracks from an impact mark"... what a load of crap. They knowingly installed a cracked windshield and/or damaged it upon installation as the plastic covers that sit under the wipers have these small clips which connect to the base of the windshield. One of these clips were directly on the location of the chip. See posted photo for the chip.Stay away from this company as they are not honest and won't own up to their mistakes. If you call them out in any way shape or form, you are met with snark remarks and name calling. We are all human and make mistakes, but these people would rather take your money and send you packing instead of making it right.Check out some of the responses from the company on other customer reviews with bad experiences. Their replies give you a glimpse into how they communicate and do business with people. I wouldn't be surprised if one ends up on here. Bad, bad people.

Their work seems to be getting sloppy. I’ve taken my car and a family member car here within the last year and had problems both times. After I got home with my car I noticed that my cars cowl trim was not fully installed. This made my wipers not fully return to their resting position. After opening my hood to properly install it, I found one of their tools left behind on top of my engine which I then had to drive back and return. My family members car that I took here was leaking water around the windshield after getting it replaced here. They did fix it which I appreciate, however their work seems too sloppy for me to trust in the future.

Highly recommend! Filled out the quote appointment request form, and maybe 10 minutes later I received a call from Mt. Hood Glass. A polite gentleman gave me a great quote and I was in no rush, but they actually got me in next day. Absolutely outstanding customer service.

I had the original windshield from 2000 in my 4runner. I had a few rock chips and with the last freeze one of the rock chips ended up cracking about halfway across the windshield. I had put it off for a little bit of time, because I was so nervous about how much it was going to cost me to replace it. I also was really nervous about getting an aftermarket windshield and not an OEM Toyota windshield. Les Schwab in Gresham recommended, Mt. Hood Glass. I stopped off in there, and Aaron Smith totally reassured me. The cost was so reasonable and unexpected. They got me right in and from what I can tell, did an incredible job. It’s amazing how much better I can see! Thanks to everyone at Mount Hood glassH

This is my second time working with Mt.Hood Glass. I worked with Arron the owner. I had a huge rocked kicked up to my windshield from another car. So Aaron had my windshield replaced. Great prices, very professional & had my car back to me very quickly. Definitely will be returning if ever calls for it.
